digi scrap

Here are a couple digital pages I just put together. I used two scrapbook sketches found on Splitcoaststampers.com. They are pretty simple but I am trying to get this book done! The pictures are more than five years old now! LOL!

This page used sbsc280 for the sketch:

Just lovely.

Seriously, this Four Frames set is just plain lovely! I am excited to use these in my up-coming Mother's Day card class! Probably most of us don't have six mothers, (I am offering six cards) but don't forget about sending Mother's Day cards to sisters, aunts, grandmothers and friends. Every mother, and woman for that matter, appreciates being acknowledged on Mother's Day. Besides, those attending my class can choose to use a different greeting that will work for any woman anyway. *grin

This first card is fun. I punched the hole out of the Crumb Cake card stock, and glued the Whisper White piece onto the Bashful Blue, and then lifted the Crumb Cake with dimensionals. Very fun look!
Supplies:
Stamps: Four Frames, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake
Paper: Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, Whisper White card stock
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Pastels, Early Espresso Taffeta ribbon

This card uses some of the Sunny Garden DP. The Poppy Parade is really bold and I like the pattern but wanted it softer. I covered it with a sheet of vellum to get that look!
Supplies:
Stamps: Four Frames, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Pear Pizazz, Poppy Parade
Paper: Pear Pizazz card stock, Sunny Garden DP, Vellum card stock
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Pearls, White grosgrain ribbon
I love the touch the pearls make!

A Birthday!

This weekend my daughter will be celebrating her birthday with friends. Here's the invitations I made. Pretty simple (except the cutting) but cute enough. Then I typed up the information and adhered it to the back!
She picked the stamp set. I swear its only my kids who use the monkey. I loved the set when I saw it in the catalog the first time and I think it was my first purchase out of that catalog. But I can never seem to make him a very cute monkey, and I never know quite what else to do! Oh well, my kids get TONS of use out of it.
Supplies:
Stamps: Sock Monkey
Ink: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry & So Saffron markers
Paper: Melon Mambo, So Saffron & Whisper White card stocks

Inspiration!

I haven't been very motivated to be creative lately. I was flipping thru the demo magazine and browsing blogs and was totally inspired by THIS POST on Kristina Werner's blog. I made two cards using her basic color scheme and embossing white line-stamp flowers on designer paper, and the second one uses a card layout from the magazine. Handy!

Supplies:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Upsy Daisy
Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Peach Parfait Twill ribbon

Best part? I love these cards! They are super autumn-y but I really love them!

A new technique...

I've mentioned the magazine Stampin' Up! demonstrators get every month. This month the featured technique was mixing embossing powder to get new looks. I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch and the embossing technique and created this:
Supplies:
Stamps: Four Frames, Priceless, Fresh Cuts
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black, Real Red
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Heart to Heart punch, Scallop Edge punch, Decorative Label punch, Red Taffeta ribbon, Black Embossing powder, White Embossing powder

...I do love the technique, but I don't love this card. darnit. must try again.... hahaha!

Non-Stamped Creativity

In our house we have been going thru some things and live in the type of area where people try to help. Its a good thing, and my family has felt very loved.
I'm the kind of person who makes a card and as I go to hand it to someone realize it would be nicer with some kind of...treat? or...something. So I was very impressed with friends who put a lot of time and effort into these gifts, and thought I'd share in case you need a creative way to brighten someone's day. I guarantee these work!

This one came in the mail from a friend who moved away...
There are twizzlers, hostess donut gems, circus crackers, whoppers and extra gum.

And this one came from a friend who also brought over a complete dinner:

Sweet!

I don't know about you but I have had enough of the snow and cold and am ready for some spring! I made up these cards the other day to use as thank you's. I love the cute little chocolate-dipped strawberries idea, even if you have to clean the stamp every single time you do it. *smile I stamped the sentiment using alphabet stamps.
Supplies:
Stamps: Tart & Tangy, Just Perfect alphabet
Ink: Chocolate Chip ink, Pear Pizazz, Poppy Parade & Chocolate Chip markers
Paper: Pear Pizazz, Poppy Parade & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Neutral Buttons, Linen Thread

Thank You Sketches!

Both of these cards use sketches I found on the Stamping 411 blog.

This card's color combination comes from the brand new summer mini - which is currently exclusive to demonstrators (in case you needed another reason to join!). If you need an idea, our catalog is called an Idea Book for a reason. Take a sketch or color combination you like and make it your own! I used this sketch for this card.
Supplies:
Stamps: Punch Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Melon Mambo, Peach Parfait
Paper: Peach Parfait, Pear Pizazz, Melon Mambo, Whisper White card stocks, Hostess In Color DP
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Peach Parfait twill ribbon, Ice Cream Parlor button (SAB- retired!)

This card uses this sketch. Did I mention how nicely the Decorative Label Punch coordinates with the Four Frames stamp set? Well, its a perfect match! This ribbon is retired but I used it anyway for the polka dot theme.
Supplies:
Stamps: Priceless, Four Frames, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Soft Suede
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Soft Suede card stocks
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Dimensionals, soft suede polka dot ribbon - retired

Purples & reds...

Apparently I'm on a kick. Isn't it funny how we do that?

This first card uses a sketch from Stamping 411. I made it pretty simply and combines several stamp sets, which is not exactly normal for me.

Supplies:
Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Artistic Etchings, Priceless
Ink: Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum, Real Red
Paper: Perfect Plum, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Red Taffeta Ribbon, Brights Buttons
This one is just sort of random.

Supplies:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral
Ink: Real Red, Basic Black
Paper: Perfect Plum, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Red Taffeta Ribbon

Halloween Page!

Here's a digital page I did the other day. I used Cheryl's EMS Sketch #26 and adjusted it for my 8x11 page. Also, the face and greeting on the bottom are more centered than they look, for printing purposes. :)

Pink & Brown!

This card is for my friend. She gave me a really great gift a couple weeks ago and I think a card would brighten her day right back. So, I used Jen's SSFYTT and picked her favorite color combination and here it is!

Supplies:
Stamps: Four Frames, Fresh Cuts
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Itty Bitty Buttons

Also, isn't that a lovely border?? It comes from the Four Frames stamp set, which is available during the month of April as a sneak peek to the new catalog that will be released in July. I think LOVELY is the perfect word for it and it will make LOVELY cards! :) Expect to see more!
