I helped throw a baby shower for a friend, expecting her first little boy. Since I needed to make a bunch of these, I pulled out my retired card stocks and DP and used some things up!
This first variation (top, center) is my favorite. I have Bashful Blue card stock with some old Banbury DP.
Then (top right) I have Marina Mist card stock with some retired Wild Wasabi DP from a hostess 6x6 pack.
Finally, the three across the bottom, I have some very old Bayou Blue card stock with some old Pear Pizazz DP from a different hostess 6x6 pack!
They all have the same cute Elebration stamp, in Basic Gray ink, on Whisper White DP. I typed up the information, printed it off and attached it to the back, all using a darling free font I got HERE. (on her sidebar, under 25 favorite fonts - Little Days)

Final Birthday Class Sample
This card was also almost completely inspired by another demonstrator's design. I added the striped paper at the bottom, changed the place of the bakers twine, and have a Lucky Limeade layer where she used Soft Suede. Also I stamped the Pool Party flowers onto the squares, and she had them done a little differently. But I really love how this card turned out, soft colors, pretty, and ready to be mailed off to a special someone!

A pretty birthday card
Today was my birthday card class! Since there are 5 cards I now have a few blog posts ready to inspire you! hee hee. It is often said that one great thing about being a demonstrator is that there are SO MANY ideas available to us and we don't have to think up our own. This class was certainly one time I needed that! Most of the time I create my own design, and many times I use sketches as a jumping off point. While I did have ideas swimming around in my head, I had a very hard time finding the creative energy to create cards for this class...so I turned to the Stampin' Up! demonstrator website for ideas. I searched for an idea to use the Upsy Daisy stamp set and tweaked a card I found to make this:
Supplies:
Stamps: Upsy Daisy
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Sale-A-Bration Ribbon & Brads, Scallop Edge Punch

Snowy Day!
Here is the final layout from my scrapbook class last week! Can't do a "winter" scrapbooking class and not have at least one layout involve snow!
Last winter the snow just dumped for a full day and well into the next morning. It was wet, heavy snow that knocked power out, which is why school was cancelled - the day before Christmas break began! Of course all the kids got bundled up to play outside, and of course I had to get pictures of the deep snow too! I haven't come up with a title yet, because it wasn't "record" snow, but it was a LOT!

A Valentine Craft
I know we're past Valentines now, so store this away in your mental file for next year! :) Or cut out a different shape for a different holiday! LOL!
I am the room mother in my son's school class. They needed a party type activity, but since more and more mom's work (like, as the year has progressed, and that includes me!), its harder and harder to get help. Also, its kind of a challenge to think up activities that aren't lame in their eyes! LOL! So when I saw this craft idea I knew it would be something I could do alone, especially if I had other mom's donate supplies! It took up the "party" time, and kept their hands and minds busy in a good way, and most of the class had a lot of fun with it! Score!
We made paper plate wreaths! I asked mom's to donate old scrapbooking paper that was in valentine colors or themes. Then I cut those papers into roughly 3x3 squares and gave the kids 14 random squares to cut into heart shapes (my wreath used 11). We cut the center out of the paper plate, and glued the hearts on however we liked!
Here is my cutting & bagging process....(huge and super fun variety!)
And here, you can see my daughters (I let her make one after school on Valentines with the left over supplies), my son's that he made in class is the top of this triangle, and mine, the all-pink sample, at the bottom. My son's is rather full, compared to his classmates. It cracked me up how many kids folded their 3x3 square in half and cut out an inch-sized tiny heart! LOL!
It would be fun to use flower punches or dies in the spring and make more of these.....!

Scrapbook a Valentine!
It isn't that I haven't made anything, its that I haven't had time to blog! I'm stealing time right now as it is, lol!
So last week I had a scrapbook class with a winter theme. We used THIS Christmas themed page, today's Valentine themed page, and a snowy page I'll share later this week. This isn't exactly the page we made in the class, but it shows how to adapt it for 8x11 books, and it uses up these sweet photos that needed scrapped from so long ago! It also gave me a chance to play with my Pennant Punch again!
Supplies:
Stamps: none
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White card stocks, Real Red Glitter Paper
Accessories: Heart to Heart Punch, Pennant Punch

Pennant Punch!
By now you should know that Stampin' Up! demonstrators get to pre-order from the new catalogs. (doesn't that make you want to sign up? How about the offer for a free package of DP or a free digital download every month this year, if you join? ohhh yes, I digress...) When the current Idea Book & Catalog came out last summer I had the opportunity to purchase this punch. I was interested but I needed other things more... It took until about a week ago for me to finally get it here! Yeay!
And since I had a friend's birthday to make a card for, I had to put it to use!
Supplies:
Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Real Red, Peach Parfait, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip Marker
Paper: Whisper White, So Saffron & Baja Breeze card stocks, Just Add Cake DP
Accessories: Pennant Punch, White Bakers Twine, Dimensionals

Conversation Hearts
Here is the fourth card we made at my Valentine card class. This one is only for February 14th! LOL! Its another quick simple card, but I like it a lot!
I happen to love conversation hearts. Which is why this is the first item I ordered from the Occasions Mini. As a kid I loved reading them and choosing the right words for whoever, lol. Now I just really like to eat them. haha! So when I was choosing which markers to use on this stamp set, I made my selection and asked my husband if he thought they were accurate.... haha, he had no idea, its my treat, not his. I had to google conversation hearts and found a picture that proved...I eat too many of these every February, hahaha! I chose the right colors, btw.
Supplies:
Stamps: Candy Conversations
Ink: Real Red, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait, Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron Markers
Paper: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Real Red card stocks
Accessories: thin Real Red taffeta ribbon
If you were curious, Card #5 can be found HERE. Handy that the people attending the Valentine card class did not attend that wedding/baby card class! LOL!

Masculine Valentine
mm...that title might be a little misleading.
I wanted to offer a valentine card that wouldn't bug a guy, lol, so no pink. I used this image on an anniversary card for my husband, with the words that it comes with and thought it would work for any husband.... Or by covering the inked words with tape (or using a marker to color the little guy), I cut out that message and had room to simply stamp "happy Valentines day", and now its great for any guy you know! Of course I colored this one to look like my son, hee hee
Supplies:
Stamps: Lean On Me, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red
Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens, Cherry Cobbler Twine
