Sunshine!

And then everyone in the house got sick and stamp time was not happening. So today I got a little done! YEAY!

First this scrapbook page. It's a bit busy for my taste, but I didn't know what to leave off, hahaha, so here it is!

It was inspired by the As You See It challenge, and it fits the top row of the latest Retro Rubber challenge too. The stamps are old- Here Comes The Sun was in last years' Occasions Mini, and Priceless has a copyright date of 2007 on it, and I "only" started this blog in '08, haha!

Here's a close up of the chaos. I made the Baker's Twine green with the Gumball Green marker, because that's the shade of green in the DP.

And finally, here's a close up of the strips of DP. The watercolor look makes them very pale, but I stamped along the bottom dotty strip and I like how it worked with this page.

Asking...

I totally meant to post this Friday, but the kids were out of school and that threw off everything, haha. So here we go-

I really am so excited I've gotten so much scrapping done! I'm really hoping to get some more done this week too...!
This was the simplest page ever. I literally cut a strip of this (retired) wizard print paper, wrote up the story and glued the pics down, haha! And it's a story worth scrapping.

Around here you have to get fancy to ask someone to a dance...
My son was asking a friend and they have grown up together and loved Harry Potter since they started reading chapter books. So he took that idea and ran with it.
He dressed up like Harry and the first picture was turned into a puzzle for her, with the date written on the back. Then he numbered the rest of the pieces, which is where the third photo on the top comes from. (an adjusted quote from the book)
She answered by sending a package- a stuffed owl "carrying" a rolled up sheet of "parchment" that says YES. The "parchment" was "tied" with a Slytherin slap bracelet.

Halloween again!

I've spent some time searching thru my retired stamp supplies and thought if I separated some things by topic (holidays, for example) I might get a bit more work done, haha... I started that, and came across these fun Project Life supplies that I wanted to use right now! Fortunately I have photos printed and a kiddo who is a huge fan of Halloween! haha!

This little one got to dress up three times on Halloween this year, haha, and trick-or-treat twice! The journaling explains that she was a ladybug to trick-or-treat at the mall because it was supposed to be less than 20* that day. Then she put on her witch hat and skirt to go to the grocery store, haha! Finally, someone in the community organized a very last-minute trunk-or-treat so the kiddos didn't have to walk much or be out in the cold, so she was a unicorn for that.
I used one of the Project Life cards, and both the stamp set and stickers for the title card on the second page. Then I just used a bunch of the little bits and stickers! The kit doesn't use Cajun Craze at all, but I decided I liked it best with the colors in the photos.

Baby Scrapping!

I have more scrapping today! I'm actually really excited- it's only the 7th of the month and I've done a layout for each kid already! Three events scrapped and everybody got something! Yeay!!!

Today's is a favorite, haha... This is the baby set that was purchased closest to her being born, so it's fitting that I used it for this page. She was only four days old when I did this little photo shoot. Ohhh how I miss that tiny snuggle! But it's okay, she's a big snuggler now. Especially for me, ha!

Paper Pumpkin Scrapping!

Happy Monday!
Remember last time I shared a whole Paper Pumpkin kit completed? Today I made a page using some of the left overs! No stamping on this one, I just added some of the flower stickers and a few of the rhinestones. It was quick to put together and the colors worked great too!
I haven't done anything for this girl's albums for several months, so this will be a fun surprise for her. And the pictures are nine years old so its time I got them scrapped! haha!

Birthday Cards!

For a while now I've wanted to do better about sending out birthday cards. I always know it's someone's birthday ON their day, which means I rarely have enough time to send out a card... The year after I married my husband, we sent a birthday card to every member of the families we grew up in, plus their kids. Now that number has grown to an unmanageable list (seriously. 163 that I know of). But! I can do better with friends for sure. And we can still send birthday cards to our parents, siblings, and any kiddos that live "at home"! But that means I need a big stash of birthday cards!

Have you seen the Paper Pumpkin kit that came in December? Well, it's kind of perfect for this plan, haha.

It actually came with a fabulous set of greetings- 13 different ones in fact. Another goal I set for myself in 2020 was to assemble my Paper Pumpkin kits. I've started almost all of them but not finished a lot... So this morning I put the entire kit together, as birthday cards!

That's 12 new cards, ready to go! And Paper Pumpkin kits come with envelopes so they really are ready to send out! Fun, huh??

And one of my favorite things about these kits is all the left over bits. There is always so much, in addition to the stamps and ink spot you get to keep forever. 

Ordinarily I'd toss the sticker sheets that are used up, but I'm thinkin' I could punch and die cut some shapes out of that gold foil sticker...! Lots of fun to be had with this kit!!

We Create Blog Hop - New Year, New Products

Today brings a new month, a new year and a new decade!! I saw a thing online last week that the 20's are coming, with a picture of girls in 1920's flapper dresses and thought YIKES. hahaha! Hadn't thought about that perspective before!

I have two cards for you today, that both use the Power of Hope bundle. This is one of the $100 level freebies, and it comes with this beautiful stamp set and a stone embossing folder.

My first card is more simple. I used the latest sketch from Inspire.Create.Challenges and made this:

I stamped the lady onto the DP and fussy cut out her kimono. Then I stamped her on Whisper White card stock. I colored her umbrella with Blends, and layered the floral kimono over her. She's popped up on Dimensionals, and then I added a few pearls for interest.

For my second card, I used the latest sketch from Fab Friday.

I used the new Stone embossing folder on the card front, but you can't really tell that at all, haha... I trimmed out the frame from the DP (the exact same print I used for the kimono on the other card), and WOW does my trimmer need a new blade! But it was done, so I used it anyway. I colored the woman with Stampin' Blends. The words were stamped off once for a slightly lighter shade. And the ribbon was colored with the Blackberry Bliss Dark Stampin' Blend, and added to the front. Finally, the white panel is popped up on Dimensionals.

There is a new DP in the Sale-A-Bration Mini called Lily Impressions that is a lot like this Perennial Essence paper and it would work beautifully in the same ways. Be sure and check that out!
