Soft Thanks

There hasn't been a lot of stamping this month at all, but tonight I have a quick post for you.
This really might be my favorite current color combination... It's not very autumnal, but the greeting is, so here you go. Today's card uses the sketch from The Paper Players, and these lovely In Colors.

Supplies:
Stamps: Dragonfly Garden
Ink: Soft Succulent
Paper: Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Opal Rounds, Soft Succulent open weave ribbon, Timeworn Type embossing folder, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

Christmas..?

...is not actually next, but as soon as I saw the Merry Melody embossing folder, I wanted to combine it with this stamp set that happily carried over from last year. And I finally got time to try it out!
I used the latest Sunday Stamps sketch and I think it worked out really lovely. I tried a few different colors and I like them all! Do you have a favorite?

Supplies:
Stamps: For Unto Us
Ink: Cherry Cobbler / Shaded Spruce / Memento Black
Paper: Very Vanilla card stock, Metallic Specialty Paper (from the annual catalog page 135, #7)
Accessories: Merry Melody Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

I also used a lot of Dimensionals on these, because each layer is popped up from the next, to make the "white on white" look pop!

Tips: For using up the 6x6 paper (which I struggle with!!) Trim 2" off one end, flip it the other direction and cut 2" strips. Altho for this card I wanted the music to show, so I only used 1" strips of the gold paper.

Autumn Leaf Fun!

I absolutely love this sweet Hostess-Only stamp set found in the back of the July - Dec Mini catalog. It was the perfect match for the SUO Challenge to use "people", and also for the TGIF Challenge of "fall". I used the blue and orange from the inspiration photo and of course the fall leaves.
It was fun to pull out my Stampin' Blends and use so many of them! I even know who this card is going to!

Supplies:
Stamps: Seasons of Fun (hostess only, mini catalog), Sunny Sentiments
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Balmy Blue, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Bark Embossing Folder
Blends: Dark Basic Black (pants/hair) Light Basic Black (kitty), Dark Petal Pink (kitty ears/nose), Bronze (hat/shoes), Light & Dark Night of Navy (shirt), Light Petal Pink (face/hands), Dark Old Olive (grass)
Leaves: Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light Old Olive, Dark Daffodil Delight

I really like all the "textures" and shades in that DP.

Let the DP shine!

Happy Friday to you! I have the perfect quick card for you today!

Today's card uses the theme from the Inkspirational blog- autumn leaves! I went for simple this time and absolutely let this gorgeous DP be the star of the card. I had the idea to put this word stamp with this exact paper a couple weeks ago but hadn't had a chance til now. Simple, but effective!
Supplies:
Stamps: Sunny Sentiments
Ink: Crushed Curry
Paper: Crushed Curry, Old Olive card stocks, Beauty of the Earth DP
Accessories: Linen Thread, Metallic Pearls

Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!

A Buried Favorite

I was looking over my half-empty display board (I haven't caught up since the new catalog was released, and I keep mailing out what I make!) and realizing I own several current stamp sets that don't show up there at all. So when I sat down to make cards today, I was determined to use those sets! This is another favorite set, but I haven't used it in quite some time! In fact it was May, with some already-retired product, so it never went on my board!

Today I used the latest Freshly Made Sketch and the colors from Sunday Stamps. I viewed them as Cajun Craze, Pale Papaya, Crushed Curry, Soft Succulent and Vanilla, and I used all of those on my card!
Supplies:
Stamps: Very Versailles
Ink: Soft Succulent, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze
Paper: Soft Succulent, Very Vanilla,
Accessories: Pale Papaya & White woven ribbon, Dimensionals

A Wintery Cabin

So, the mountains are my happy place. Especially the ones with evergreen kind of forests. Also, I gotta say, I am ready for winter to come and I am ready for snow. I am hoping for a lot this year...! And this scene looks like a great place to hang out!!
This card is almost the same as yesterday's, haha, but I wanted to try a different color challenge this time. Today's card uses the color combo from Color Throwdown with the sketch from Sunday Stamps
Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Cabin
Ink: Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight
Paper: balmy Blue, Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight, Basic White
Accessories: Flowers for All Seasons ribbon, Cabin Dies, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

And here's a slightly softer photo...

Something Different

Happy Labor Day Monday to you! I hope you had a lovely weekend! I managed to get some stamping done so I have a post ready for you bright and early today! Here it's a day off school and my husband is home too, so we're busy today.
I really love the Peaceful Cabin bundle. Today, I used it along with the color combo from TGIF Challenges, the sketch from Inspire.Create.Challenges and the "fun fold" theme from SUO Challenges
Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Cabin
Ink: Cinnamon Cider, Mossy Meadow
Paper: Cherry Cobbler & Basic White card stocks, Beauty of the Earth DP
Accessories: Cabin Dies, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

It's not exactly a fun fold, necessarily, but it's a unique-to-me card and I hope it counts! I couldn't tell you where I've seen this design, but I have, and that was exactly what the sketch brought to mind.
What are you making this week?

We Create: Sale-a-Bration: Join

Happy September!! A new month means a new blog hop and I'm chatty today so get comfy! haha!

This month we're taking a minute to focus on the fantastic Sale-A-Bration products that are only available for one more month!

You can earn 10 of these products for FREE with a $50 or $100 order (before tax & shipping), or 1 of them by hosting a workshop that totals $300 or more.
If you sign up to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator during Sale-A-Bration, you can select your favorite bundle from the July-Dec Mini Catalog, on top of your starter kit, FREE!
Because Sale-A-Bration is the best time to join, on this blog hop, we're also thinking about what made us sign up with Stampin' Up! in the first place.
And I combined all of that in to one project!

Personally, I joined Stampin' Up! completely for the scrapbooking options. When I first heard about Stampin' Up!, I had just finished scrapping the first 18 years of my brother's life with paper and stickers from the scrapbook stores. They were my favorite places, but they really had nothing after a boy turns about 10.... just more cars, bugs and dinosaurs... And solid card stock or paper was only sold in packs that always came with pinks and purples, and my brother was not a fan. Stampin' Up! sold and still sells, their card stock in packs of whatever your favorite color is (altho no longer the 12x12 size). Stampin' Up! has stamp images that suit every age and a huge spectrum of interests. They also have a huge selection of coordinating (ie: Matching!) accessories and embellishments that are ever-changing! Hilariously, my first order was a baby stamp set so I could scrapbook the first couple years of my son's life, and I thought I was set. ....I signed up less than a year later, during Sale-A-Bration! And I'm still here, 17 years later!

Anyway, all of that means I have a scrapbook page for you today! I used my favorite bundle from the Mini, which is this lovely little cabin in the woods. (I only used the woods part...) I also used this gorgeous wintery, holiday themed DP that is a Sale-A-Bration-exclusive Freebie! This was my very favorite thing in the Sale-A-Bration mini, as soon as I saw it. Which one is your favorite?

Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Cabin
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Sahara Sand, Garden Green & Shaded Spruce card stocks, Peaceful Prints DP
Accessories: Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Cabin Dies, Big Shot
Journaling Font: Eraser, The Serif Hand Black

I was inspired by a layout my scrapping friend Cheryl has on her blog HERE, tho my layout is definitely different.

Now hop on along over to Libby's blog with the button below, and let us know what you think of our work today.

Then make something yourself and share it to brighten someone's day!
