Pumpkins 2018!

Continuing on with the Halloween theme this week, I scrapped some more pics for my middle kiddo, of days of Halloween past. I used some of the same things I already had out, and as is often the case, everything is retired except the ink and card stock.

And this actually uses the colors from Inspire.Create.Challenge

Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of Haunts (2016), Classic Numbers
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Gorgeous Grape
Paper: Basic Gray & Gorgeous Grape card stocks, Halloween Night Specialty DP (retired)
Accessories: gray stripe washi, black polka dot washi (both long retired)

And here's a little close up of the edge.
Hope you get to make something fun this weekend!

Cookie Cutter Halloween!

This first card has been mailed out, and this time uses a lot of retired product, which was fun. This stamp set is from 2016, and apparently I've only used this scarecrow stamp from the whole set! So first I added the crow and the trick or treat bag! Yeay progress? hahaha!

I used the sketch from Just Add Ink and this totally qualifies for the SUO Challenge of "coloring".

Supplies:
Stamps: Cookie Cutter Halloween (2016), Good Greetings (2014)
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black card stocks
Accessories: Circle dies, Dimensionals, Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (2016), yellow twine (old Paper Pumpkin kit), big shot
Stampin' Blends: Light Old Olive, Light Night of Navy, Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light & Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Cherry Cobbler, Dark Balmy Blue

This second card uses the rest of the little trick or treaters, and again the trick or treat bag. No sketch or color combo this time, just me making these guys work on a card for once!

Supplies:
Stamps: Cookie Cutter Halloween (2016), Good Greetings (2014)
Ink: Memento Black, Versamark
Paper: Mango Melody, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Basic White
Accessories: Dimensionals, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (2016)
Stampin' Blends: Ivory, Light Petal Pink, Dark Cherry Cobbler, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Basic Black

CAS Mummy!

Since I knew I was going to be making several Halloween cards, earlier this week, I pulled out my entire collection of Halloween sets and just got playing!

Today's card is full of retired product, but I really like it, haha. This one uses the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches, which is why it stayed simple. The stamp sets are both pretty old but I've never used this mummy! Clearly, it was time.

Supplies:

Stamps: Jar of Haunts (2016), Good Greetings (2014)
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Dimensionals, Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon (lonnng retired)
Stampin' Blends: Ivory, Light Petal Pink

I actually made another on Monday with this set, but something is wrong with my phone synching to our cloud... I tried to do a blog post from my phone which also didn't work and it corrupted the photo. But Iv'e already given this one away so the messed up picture is the best I've got. rude. But it appears its teh first time I've played with this pumpkin or candy corn images too, so I'm sharing it anyway! And the Freshly Made Sketch I used has ended too. Apparently that was a "Monday".........

Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of Haunts
Ink: Memento Black

Halloween 2019

Halloween is only one week away so I *might do a theme this week....

For today, I have this layout I did last week. I am super happy there is a package of black card stock for a hot minute in the July-December Mini!
As is often the case with my scrapping, everything else is very. long. retired. The stamped little girl image was one of the first clear-mount sets I bought, and the alphabet was given to me from a friend, and came from before I ever heard of Stampin' Up!

Supplies:
Stamps: Greeting Card Kids, Alphabet Attitude Lower, Alphabet Attitude Numbers (1998)
Ink: Tangerine Tango
Paper: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Metallic Sequins, Glue Dots
Journaling Font: Dreaming Outloud Pro

These are the Stampin' Blends I used to color the cute little girl:

A Paper Pumpkin Day!

Lately I've noticed my card stash getting thin, especially in regards to birthday cards. Well, one of my goals this year is to use up my Paper Pumpkin kits and get them mailed out! So one day last week I had some time and pulled out all my Paper Pumpkin kits and got to work!

This first kit I had previously made up about half of it. The idea was to stitch yellow twine through all the "YOU"s on each card. The kit came with a little needle! Okay, the thing is, I was raised by a seamstress and both of my grandmothers sewed allllll the things. I stamp because really, I haaaate sewing's guts!!! I think I stitched one of these, ever and that was more than enough, thanks. So today, as in the past, I traced the letters, making it "faux stitching" which was a cool technique when I started with Stampin' Up! haha... so its' fine. I actually had one of these in the mail before I thought to take a picture. So I got six cards from this box and I only have the stamps and twine left!! Hooray!!

This next kit has been decently loved. This was the last card base. I had to cut my own Pumpkin Pie card stock to go behind the grid pattern. I have one "happy" sticker left, and the big star finished off the above kit. I do have a few small stars left, and of course the stamps.

This next kit is really old. I had the center piece stamped and glued together for who knows how long but no card bases or fronts left. So, I cut myself a base from Basic White card stock, cut a neutral pattern from some very old DP and glued it together! I still have some mugs and some succulents left, but that's it!

This last card combined a few kits. The base, florals and front panel came from one that is now completely used up. okay, okay, I have more floral die cuts and stickers and the letters that filled in the words, but that is it! The print that fills "friend" in this card was an envelope insert from a different Paper Pumpkin kit. And the "thanks a bunch" came from a third Paper Pumpkin kit! I think the rest of the flowers will go on a layout or two or three...and then it will be all used up too!
So, that afternoon I got nine cards made, I used up some kits, and I was able to toss two now-empty boxes by the end of the day!
(My boxes are usually full of 3-4 kits to save space... I have a LOT more to do...but that is okay!)
And really, I think it took me not quite three hours, including sifting thru the boxes determining what I was going to play with.

What are you making this week? Who are you mailing it to?

Dumbo Ride!

Another week, another Disney trip page!
This page was done in the long-retired MDS, making it quick for me. I liked the circles because it reminds me of the bubbles in the pink elephant scene in the movie.

Supplies:
MDS
Paper: Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Regal Rose circle image

Purple Paris Birthday!

It isn't very often I show cards here with retired product, but this one turned out really pretty and I used a sketch, so I'm sharing it.

I used the latest Freshly Made Sketch, and two retired sets, retired DP, retired ribbon, and the only thing you can still purchase is the card stock and ink!

Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Paper: Blackberry Bliss & Very Vanilla card stocks, First Edition DP (old enough that SU! still had copyright info printed on the paper)
Accessories: Blackberry Bliss striped ribbon (retired), Dimensionals

Halloween 2020

I wasn't planning on sharing more scrapping so quickly, but I decided to make a layout to go with the SUO Challenge of "Halloween" and use the perfectly Halloweeny color challenge from The Paper Players! It worked perfectly to scrap a tiny Halloween party we had in 2020.

Supplies:
Stamps: Scary Cute, Alphabest
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, Memento Black, Crushed Curry
Paper: Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Basic White
Accessories: Gingham Ribbon, Circle Dies, big shot

So, the truth is, those are pages 1 and 3 of a set. This is the page that actually goes between the two above, but it has no stamping and the others do.
And yes, you can peek into our Batman themed bathroom there, hahaha!
And here's the journaling, explaining the photos. lol. It was a weird time!

"Halloween 2020 was an exasperating time, not knowing exactly the risks vs the reality of spreading covid by trick or treating. Mostly I felt okay about it, but I couldnt shake the nagging concern. We decided it was best to skip trick or treating if there was any doubt. Instead, we had a small Halloween party, and did a little bit of at home trick or treating! Dad was in our bedroom, -- was in --s bedroom, -- was in her bedroom, -- was in the basement, and -- was in the pantry! -- got to knock on all the doors and got a treat at every one and had SO much fun! We also played some games before the teenagers left. Dad, -- and I had pizza for dinner and watched two Disney Halloween cartoons."

Inside the Gates!

Happy Monday to you! Did you have a relaxing weekend? I had a jam-packed weekend! And I haven't stamped in well over a week. But that's okay- I have lots of scrapbook pages I can share!

This was our first day, and first moments inside the park. Disneyland was still trying to decide their protocols since reopening after covid and we had listened to people who were there just a few weeks before us and tried following their recommendations. But that ended up not a good plan for us since we still have a little one, and they don't, and their suggestions didn't matter when we were there. So this page is documenting what we should have done, vs what we did. But I tried to document this trip with as much reality as possible, so you get both sides. And the page still turned out fun!

Supplies:
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray & Real Red card stocks, I Am Me DP
Accessories: Circle Dies, big shot
Journaling Font: Minnie

Christmas Monochrome!

I did play with the SUO Challenge to go monochrome, and this time I combined it with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, for a second round with each challenge!
This time I made a kind of stencil with the circle die, and stamped inside it and then used a blending brush in that circle as well! I think this is my first Christmas card this year, and I think this card is gorgeous! What do you think?

Supplies:
Stamps: Campology, Hope & Peace
Ink: Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent
Paper: Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Soft Succulent Open Weave ribbon, Red & Green Pearls, Dimensionals, Layering Circle dies, big shot

I hope you have had a nice Saturday and if you had some stampy time, I hope it was creative and productive for you! And mail those cards!! People really do love receiving them!

We Create Blog Hop: Halloween & Harvest

And just like that, we're to October and at my house that means Halloween! My little one looooves Halloween, just like my mom and my grandmother, haha! We decorated the house yesterday and the trick or treat costume has been planned out and is waiting in my closet, haha.
Our blog hop theme this month is Halloween & Harvest, and clearly, I had to go with Halloween.

I got this cute bundle set for scrapbooking, haha, but so far I have only made cards with it. Today I have two matching cards, except for the color scheme. I used the latest sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches and I think it definitely stayed clean-and-simple!

First, some bright happy shades:

Supplies:
Stamps: Scary Cute
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody
Paper: Mango Melody, Basic Black, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Leaf Label & Amber Gem combo pack, Scary Silhouettes Dies, Layering Circles dies, Glue Dots, big shot

And now some richer autumny shades!

Supplies:
Stamps: Scary Cute
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Red & Green Pearls, Scary Silhouettes Dies, Layering Circles dies, Glue Dots, big shot

Now hop on over to Tricia's blog using the button below, and see what she's made for you! Then hop all the way thru, and let us know what you think!

And since it's World Card Making Day, I have more cards to inspire you today, so keep checking back! And I hope you get to stamp today too!

Autumn Aspens

It is World Card Making Day! I am not playing along today, but I have some fun ideas for you if you are!

First up, I have a lovely fall card for you, using the latest from the Color Throwdown, and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

This was not the easiest card to make, haha. This aspen forest die is not designed to cut the oval out. I trimmed around it, but that meant the trunk on the right was then detached... I also wanted to use the oval negative to stamp inside, and since it was my own trimming, haha, that was a bit tricky to use too. But! it all worked out and I really like it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Perched in a Tree
Ink: Cajun Craze
Paper: Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Starry Sky card stocks
Accessories: Leaf Label & Amber Gem Pack, Aspen Trees dies, Natural Ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, big shot

And come back later for more!!
