April Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Recently I assembled some of the April Paper Pumpkin kit.
If there are full printed card bases, I *am going to cut them in half and make more stuff. In this case I haven't used the other halves yet, but here is how the kit was designed, minus one that I'm still debating on:

I did switch these up very slightly
and these didn't get all the mini butterfly die cuts, just some.
This kit really features the new Basic Beige color, and turns these subdued colors into something elegant. I really like how they turned out.

If you missed out on this one, the refill kit is available, which means everything but the stamps and ink spot. It's only available for subscribers, but you can always subscribe, order it, and then drop your subscription......

Soft Thanks

Less than a week in and today is the first day that feels like summer- it's 89* out there! It does make it easier to play in the water, but that is not on my agenda today so it's just hot.

Today I combined the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches with the colors from Hand Stamped Sentiments. I love how it turned out!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Spotlight on Nature
Ink: Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam, Lost Lagoon
Paper: Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink, Basic White

- die cuts
- twine
- staples
And I'm really happy with this one!

Campy Birthday

Happy Memorial Day to you!

It isn't often I play with a challenge more than once, and certainly not before it ends, ha, but I really liked the sketch for this idea so here I am! So once again, this is the latest from Freshly Made Sketches. Almost everything here is retired, but this is what I needed for this card.

For a Birthday

It's summer vacation over here, (HOORAY!!!) but I got this done before school ended!
~~~
Sometimes you use a color challenge you don't love to stretch your creativity. And sometimes you end up loving the result anyway! ha!
Today's card combined the colors from Color Throwdown with the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches.
This challenge looked more like Wild Wheat to me, than what Stampin'  Up! calls "olive". Wild Wheat is not my favorite color, but I do have a couple kids in my house who really like it, so I know other people do too. I *do like Pebbled Path and it seems to go well with most colors. But really, I think the DP is what pulled this card together.
Supplies:
Stamps: Spotlight on Nature, Simply Said
Ink: Wild Wheat, Pebbled Path
Paper: Wild Wheat, Pebbled Path & Basic White card stocks, Traditions of St Nick DP (online exclusive!)
Accessories: Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots, Dimensionals
I might even know who will get this one in the mail!
Bright Paper!
This is a bright, happy card that is going out this week.
This time I combined the Freshly Made Sketch with the SUO Challenge to mix things up!  DP makes it easy to mix things up and I hope this is good enough. Either way, I'm pretty sure the recipient will appreciate it.
Supplies:
Stamps: Simply Said
Ink: Melon Mambo
Paper: Melon Mambo & Basic white card stock, Full of Life DP
Accessories: 2024-26 In Color Resin Dots
And just because this paper is SO fun and happy, here's a quick view at all the prints:
This is going to be fun! And there's four of each sheet!
Colorful Leaves
Hello again! This is an afternoon post, which is not common, but maybe it will be this summer. One day left of this school year....!!!
Today I combined the inspiration challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments with the background challenge from TGIF Challenges!
I used the leaves, stamped in three different shades, and then used an embossing folder to give it some good texture. It looks great in person, ha! And the large, scripty words are inspired by the inspiration photo too.
Supplies:
Stamps: Spotlight on Nature, Encircled in Nature
Ink: Copper Clay, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea Foam
Paper: Very Vanilla card stock
Accessories: Brass Butterflies, Exposed Brick embossing folder, Dimensionals, big shot
Purple Flowers
Happy Saturday!! I made cards and they fit challenges with end dates coming up! So here we go!
This is my first time using this new-from-the-catalog stamp set. I used the sketch from Just Add Ink and the colors from Color Throwdown to make it.
It's not the best result, but it worked out okay. I taped the squares together to hold them still, and stamped right on to them. Then I inked up the flowers in Gorgeous Grape annnd didn't quite line it up. It's fiiine.
Supplies:
Stamps: Spotlight On Nature
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Pretty Peacock & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Brass Butterflies, Blending Pens
Forest Birthday Wreath
Happy Thursday! I was hoping that this morning I would get some cards made... it took til after 2pm because I've got a sick girl who came home from school early, but here's a card for you anyway!
Today's card combines the Freshly Made Sketch with the CAS Colours & Sketches color challenge. Altho it might not be so CAS...
This might go out in the mail soon, or it might sit on my display board a while... I haven't decided. But half the reason I wanted this stamp/die set was for those trees, ha, so I was glad to play with them.
Supplies:
Stamps: Encircled in Nature, Simply Said
Ink: Pebbled Path, Lost Lagoon
Paper: Basic White & Lost Lagoon card stocks, Country Woods DP
Accessories: Tinsel Gems Three Pack, Encircled in Nature Dies, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)
And here's a close up of this gorgeous paper! I often like the wood texture DP, and I loove chippy paint, and this is both!
Lots of prints I am looking forward to playing with!!
Whole lotta Zoo
Hello again! More scrapping for you today!
A few years ago, we took our kids to the zoo for the first time in over a decade. First time for the youngest.
I think we got a photo of every single animal we saw. It's not a huge zoo, but it does take most of the day to see it all... And that doesn't include all the other photos we took. For some reason that utterly escapes me, lol, a few months later, I printed a STACK of photos of this day. And I printed three sets so each child gets it in their book. That is a dumb lot of photos for one day...! Sooo these photos have all sat in their little shoeboxes of photos, making me feel overwhelmed and uninterested in scrapping them. ha.
Until last week when I decided it was time to put them to paper for at least one of my kiddos! I had selected the DP within a year of printing the photos, and then used pretty much all the zoo animals my mom and I have.
(We won't talk about how many days it took me to put these NINE pages together. ahem. But we will talk about not printing that many photos of a single event that isn't Christmas, ever, ever again. And we'll question printing that many for Christmas too!)
Supplies:
Stamps: Wild About You (2006), Noah (1996), Zoofari (2007), Gorgeous Grunge -all retired
Ink: wild: Flirty Flamingo, zebra: Memento Black, giraffe: Delightful Dijon, lion: More Mustard, elephant: Pebbled Path, Penguin: Balmy Blue, snake: Parakeet Party, camel; Cinnamon Cider, deer: Moody Mauve, alligator: Cucumber Crush, sheep: Chocolate Chip, birds: Melon Mambo, rhino: Pebbled Path, monkey: Pecan Pie, leopard: Mango Melody, splash: Soft Sky, bear: Seaside Spray - many retired
Paper: Cucumber Crush, Basic White card stocks, 2015-17 in color envelope paper -retired
Accessories: Alphabet a La Mode dies, Glue Dots, big shot
And at least that set is done!
(and no, I didn't use every photo I printed. A few went into her photo album, which is where not scrapped photos go, lol!)
Bright Birthday!
Today is a Friday that thinks it's a Monday at my house... SO many things this morning. I was excited to make a card IN my craft room today (first time in months! - it's been way too messy!) buut that meant the card wasn't exactly like the things I was trying to follow. So we'll go with 'based on'...
The sketch is "based on" the latest from Freshly Made Sketches. (the two panels don't line up)
And the colors are "based on" the colors in the inspiration from Just Add Ink. (should have used Crushed Curry instead)
And the result is happy and fun and it's fiiiine. I also mixed old with brand new, ha. The greeting is from the new catalog. Everything else is retired.
Supplies:
Stamps: Simply Said, Creative Elements (retired)
Ink: Calypso Coral, Lemon Lolly
Paper: Calypso Coral, Basic White card stocks, Bright & Beautiful DP
Accessories: White Baker's Twine, Dimensionals
Makin' Music!
Happy Thursday!
Really, all I've made lately is scrapbook pages. I'm going to need to make cards soon, maybe even today, but at the moment all I have to share is pages. This is a fun one I did for my son. I used THIS sketch, but I flipped it. The piano and drum stamps just retired, but the guitar is a few years old now.
Supplies:
Stamps: Enjoy The Rhythm, Epic Celebrations, Whimsical Alphabet Lower (all retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green,
Stampin' Blends: Light Old Olive, Dark Balmy Blue, Dark Smoky Slate
Paper: Balmy Blue & Basic White card stock, Dandy Designs DP (retired)
Accessories: Circle dies, big shot
Book Worms!
Happy Saturday! It is National Scrapbooking day and I've been scrapping this week.
This DP just retired but it is still my favorite that they've ever put out. And I think that's saying kind of a lot..... ha.
For this scrapbook page for my daughter, I finally used one of the "rooms" part of the DP, and I fussy cut out four cute little reading girls! And I super love the scene! It just worked so nicely with pictures of us at the Book Fair, haha. The alphabet stamp is super old but I love the kid "handwriting" for school events when they're little, and that's what this is!
Supplies:
Stamps: Crayon Fun Alphabet Lower (2002, retired!)
Ink: Starry Sky (retired)
Paper: Basic White card stock, Just Kiddin' DP (retired!)
Accessories: Dimensionals
Journaling Font: Dreaming Outloud Pro
Here's a close up of the scene I made. The room background was printed, but the four girls are all cut out- even the one cut in half because she was on the edge of the DP and now she's on the edge of the page! I think it still worked! And two are popped up on Dimensionals, which I don't usually do in scrapping, but I felt it needed to happen here.
