White Christmas Wreath

Today I have a fun idea for a card. And it fits the Inspire.Create.Challenge for Christmas, and I think it fits the Paper Players challenge for Its Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas. Altho maybe the white on white makes me think it's more clean and simple than it really is....

Twice this week I saw a similar idea- one was a suggested ornament card to make with your kids, and one was THIS card from a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. It's been stewing in my brain and I interrupted other things to sit down and make it! ha! I went off memory, and what I have, so it's not quite a copy, but strongly inspired by.

I traced a "wreath" shape (and size!) using the outer die for the wood wreath in the Encircled by Nature dies. For the dots, I know I have at least one other stamp set that has a small dot but the first one that came to mind was from like the second Paper Pumpkin kit I ever got. I stamped it in four colors a bit randomly around the wreath.
Then I die cut the wreath I have not yet used, in white, to layer on top! I added just a few dot embellishments (including those elusive Peppermint dots!) randomly and stamped a greeting from the October Paper Pumpkin kit!
And I rather love it!
Supplies:
Stamps: Oct 2024 Paper Pumpkin, very old Paper Pumpkin
Ink: Lemon Lolly, Shy Shamrock, Garden Green, Poppy Parade, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Basic White card stock
Accessories: Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots, Adhesive backed Peppermints, Encircled in Nature Dies, big shot

What do you think?
(oh, I did erase the penciled wreath, but the Cherry Cobbler ink wasn't quite dry and smudged. ....did it need erased? meh... maybe not.)

  1. I love your bright and colorful wreath. The little pops of color against the white are gorgeous. I love the red sentiment, too. So glad you shared this with us at the Paper Players this week

  2. What a great idea. The addition of the white foliage over the coloured dots just brings the whole thing to life! Thanks so much for sharing with us at The Paper Players.
