Thursday already...?
I just got last week's page done, so I may as well share it now! For this page, I used the sketch found HERE.
I changed it from a heart to a hexagon for the big shape, because that was better suited to a week in our house, lol... Its a really simple page, the DP all comes from the Days to Remember content disk, and then there's buttons that came with the program. But I'm happy with how it turned out!

Something fun
Today's is a card I sure don't know when I'll use, but I like it! One of the hostess options from the Occasions Mini is this fun little set called Making a Point. Its got some cute little phrases with little pictures to color in.
I love this phrase so that's what I used first, haha! I thought maybe some lipstick shades in an ombre kind of pattern would fit it nicely and! this sketch from Verve was perfect for that!
Supplies:
Stamps: Making a Point
Ink: Basic Black, Real Red
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Melon Mambo, Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette card stocks
Accessories: Hearts Framelits Die, Big Shot, Dimensionals, Blender Pens

Paper: Pool Party Coordinations card stock, Epic Day DP
Accessories: Natural Buttons, Pool Party twine (SAB14 accessory pack), Arrows Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Glue Dots, Sanding Block, Hexagon punch

Birthday layout!
Its Monday again! I hope you had a fun or relaxing weekend! I had both, despite the lousy time change... haha!
I just finished putting together this layout, all about my birthday, hee hee! Do you find that its most fun to scrapbook the most recent pictures? Well that's easily my favorite thing about MDS- and clearly that's what I did!
You can click on the picture to see it better if you want... The background paper is actually a turquoise colored chevron print, but I wanted to mute it, and let the rest of the page shine, so I recolored it to Basic Gray. I did the same thing with the flowers, which are the same turquoisey color, but are now white! The papers, title, and embellishments all came from the same content disk!
Supplies:
MDS, Lemonade Stand content disk, recolor tool

A water page!
Its kinda late in the day, but since I finished a stamping project I thought I'd better get it posted! *smile
I have had this layout sitting on my workspace for close to two weeks now...it was time I got it glued down!! The pictures are a little old and summery, and it is not feeling summery right now so that's a welcome change, haha! The lined paper is actually a journaling tag from the Retro Fresh journaling tags. Love how handy that is!
Be sure to click on the photo to see it better...
Supplies:
Stamps: ABC123 Sketch, Remember Rotary
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar marker
Paper: Very Vanilla, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar & So Saffron card stock, Retro Fresh DP
Accessories: Hung Up Cute Clips, Retro Fresh Washi Tape, Retro Fresh Journaling Tags, On Film Framelits, Big Shot
And here's a few close-ups so you can better see the details...
The cute dies...
And the tag with the clip! I think its a fun touch!

Week 9
Hello again! Today is kind of a big day for me........
not only is it my 10year anniversary date with Stampin' Up!
....no wait,
not only is it MY BIRTHDAY its also.......
hmm.....which one is the bigger deal? hahaha!
While I worry about that, you enjoy the latest of my weekly pages!
I used Cheryl's EMS 52 sketch- which is open to play with all month long! I found the color combo by picking a shade of blue in MDS (Marina Mist) and clicking the "color combo" tool under Stamps. I love that tool! I use it even when I'm not digi-crafting.

Blog Hop: Promotion Playtime!
Its March 1 and that means its time for a fun, new blog hop!!
Next up is a pretty card using the latest sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches blog. The greeting, the arrows and the banners all come from this fun stamp set! And the pretty DP is from the Sale-A-Bration brochure and only available with a $50 purchase until March 31!!
This month we thought we'd focus on some of the promotions you might not be as familiar with- things that aren't in the catalog, but things that are just as fun to create with! That should mean you'll see really different things at each blog- that makes it even more exciting, doesn't it?
I chose to focus on the photopolymer stamp sets!! They are 100% clear stamps and they stick very well to any of our blocks- including my wonky block that nothing will stick to! They can be curved if you want and they are much better quality than other totally clear stamps I have tried. These aren't in the catalog, but there was a new set released most months in 2013, and I own two of them! I've created two cards for you to enjoy today, each card focusing on the stamp set and how versatile it is. Yeay for getting plenty of mileage out of your stamp purchases!!!
First up, I have this happy card. I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch for the layout. I love this stamp set!! I bought it for scrapbooking but mostly I've used it for cards, which makes me laugh. I don't care for air travel but the tiny airplane and the heart jet stream is my very favorite part of the set!
Supplies:
Stamps: Wanderlust (photopolymer)
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Tangerine Tango
Paper: Very Vanilla & Baked Brown Sugar card stocks, Retro Fresh DP
Accessories: Dimensionals

What do you think? Do you want to give the photopolymer stamps a shot? Well, while you think about that, go check out what Cheryl has made to share! Then be sure to stop by all the other blogs and see what promotions you might be missing out on!!

Science Fair!
The past few weeks our house has been full of science project! The school science fair ended up a really, really big deal, as you can see below....
Alright, well maybe you can't quite tell, but that purple ribbon means he won the grand prize!!! He started off excited about the science fair in general. Then he was really excited when he figured out his experiment- to see if playing video games increases hand-eye coordination. Mostly he was excited to prove to me, the mom, that there is a good reason to play video games, haha... He got some friends and our family to participate by playing Wii Sports for 15 mins a day. And he found a simple hand-eye coordination test: to see how many cards you can catch as they are tossed at you. (playing cards, not ya know, stamped cards, *giggle, and yes, in my house that had to be specified!) Then he graphed the data and was very excited to see that -what do you know- it DOES improve hand-eye coordination!!
But then he had to write up his conclusion and make his board look good and and and...and he quit caring about it. He was really annoyed how much work he had to put into this project. The night before there was much grumbling about how it wasn't even worth the effort.
Parents weren't allowed at the school for the judging, so I got there as close to afterwards as I could, and how worth it do you think it was now? hahaha!!!
That grin stayed on his face for a day or two, and for the record, it was worth it.

Birthday cards!
My mom's birthday was this past week and this is card I made for her. I used the latest Clean & Simple sketch as the inspiration but my card turned out a bit different... I got this very cool new die I wanted to use, so I left off the strip across the middle, but I think you can still see the sketch here.
Supplies:
Stamps: Make A Cake
Ink: Basic Black, Coastal Cabana
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White card stock, Sweet Sorbet DP
Accessories: Pool Party baker's twine (SAB14 Accesssory Pack), Basic Pearls, On Film Framelits Dies, Big Shot
When I started this blog I always shared the cards that my kids would make for people. I haven't done that in a while but this was funny to me... My son who used to loooove to stamp cards helped himself to a piece of white card stock and wrote on it, haha. But then he also made an origami grandma, to send to her, haha!
So there you go! Too bad it went in the mail late.....

Week 8!
Just a quick post for today... I got the page completed for Week 8. I love that I'm staying on top of it, haha! It was a sorta fancy, super exciting week, so I dolled the page up a little, tee hee.
Also, I used one of the challenges from the Virtual Scrapbooking Night, to recreate a page you've already made. I based this page off of the first page you can find HERE. But since this is a 12x12 page I was able to easily fit on a journaling box for the purposes of this project. *grin
