Three-fer!

Since today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration 2010, I made three different cards using my SAB stamp set and coordinating DP!

This first card uses Jen's SSFYTT for this week. I only used one sheet of DP, I just flipped it over! Cute, huh?

Supplies: Stamps: Good Neighbors, Teeny Tiny Wishes Ink: Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie Paper: Pumpkin Pie & Whisper White card stocks, Welcome Neighbors DP Accessories: Button Latte

This card uses the OCC's sketch for this week! (Sorry the picture is so dark...I had to pretend. its snowing here and will be tomorrow too...)

Supplies: Stamps: Good Neighbors, Teeny Tiny Wishes Ink: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Burmuda Bay Paper: Burmuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie & Whisper White card stocks, Welcome Neighbors DP Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch

And this card was because I need to send it to someone, and I wanted to make the simplest card ever, hee hee! This is the back of the stripy paper on the previous card! Cute huh? All I did was trim it to fit the card and stamp the word!

Supplies: Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes Ink: Old Olive Paper: Old Olive card stock, Welcome Neighbors DP

Scrap Class #3

Here is the last of the pages I've made at these scrapbook classes. These were the most detailed, and yet its still a "clean" layout. I found the design for page 1 (including a video!) HERE, but I did modify it to use the supplies I own, and colors that would fit anyone at a class. Its really a great design I can see myself using over and over. (I used their names for the title on page 1, but blurred them out)
AND we got to use clear stamps on this one! That was a fun new toy, for sure!

Supplies:
Stamps: Just Perfect Alphabet, Vintage Vogue-clear
Ink: Bashful Blue, Old Olive
Paper: Kraft, Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Large Fancy Flower Punch, Fresh Favorite Buttons, Silver Brads, Mat Pack

Simply Scrappin'!

So these pages come from my scrapbook classes... the 12x12 was last weekend, and then I did the 8x11 this weekend. I wanted to show how simple it can be to get your scrapbooking done. It doesn't always have to be full of layers and embellishments. Plus I am excited to keep using this kit!
Supplies: Stamps: Just Perfect Alphabet Ink: Chocolate Chip Paper: Always Artichoke card stock, Tailor Made Simply Scrappin' Kit Accessories: Linen Thread
Scrapbooking really can be simple and cute!

One Page Three Ways

At my scrapbook class this past Saturday they wanted 12x12 pages. This coming Saturday attendee's want 8.5x11 size pages. So I had to find a way to make all of the same pages, but smaller. My pages are of three totally separate events, but here's how I did it....
the 12x12...

one 8.5x11 (this is for my son's book! Want to use pink and glitter with your boys? Throw in shots with his sister, mother or grandmother, and its all good!)

the other way to do an 8x.5x11...

Supplies:
Stamps: Taffy ABC Ink: Chocolate Chip Paper: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip & Real Red card stocks, Sending Love DP Accessories: Real Red Epoxy Brads, Mat Pack

This glittery paper is so much fun!! It seriously makes me so happy! LOL! its glittered and like, heat embossed so there is actual texture to it. So cool! I love the specialty line of DP Stampin' Up! has offered!

Easter Card!

This is for a challenge, I really don't send Easter cards. But my grandmother and aunt do! I decided an Easter challenge was a great time to play with this new hostess set, isn't it cute?! I also used the Eggcellent Eggs kit from the Occasions Mini (for cards and pages, in my opinion) which JUST exceeded its 'while supplies last', darnit! I was actually hoping to buy a second kit- they are so fun! So I hope you got one already!

Anyway, I used Taylor's sketch along with the Easter challenge from the OCC and made this:

Supplies: Stamps: Picnic Parade, Teeny Tiny Wishes Ink: Basic Black, Bashful Blue Paper: Bashful Blue & Whisper White card stock, Eggcellent Eggs Kit Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens, Word Window Punch

Some scrapping...

I got these pages *mostly* done earlier in the week. The first page I still need a Rose Red marker for. My marker doesn't work anymore. Buuut its been about 5 years sooo I won't whine too much... When I get access to someone else's marker the title vellum will say "princess and the queen", and I'll fill that Top Note die-cut with the story. Oh, and the sketch came from the Soul Scrapper's site. (Annnnd since blogger is being obnoxiously stubborn, you get to see it the direction the sketch was given! I tilted it and blogger will not load it right, no matter how many times I've rotated it!) Supplies:
Stamps: Taffy Alphabet, girls are Ketto stamps from Stamping Bella Ink: Close to Cocoa, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink Paper: Whisper White, Close to cocoa & Pink Pirouette (retired) card stocks, Berry Bliss DP (retired), White Vellum Accessories: White Organza Ribbon, Top Note Die Cut, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens, Soft Subtles Brads, Mat Pack, Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle punch, 1 3.8 inch circle punch, neutral buttons (retired) So the story that is missing is....my daughter loooves to play dress up. She came down all decked out, and my niece came with her wearing my dad's old gardening hat. My daughter grandly announced "I present the princess (indicates herself) and, the queeeeen (indicating my niece)." It was funny how she said it, but it was also funny to see such a poor, impoverished little queen compared to the dolled up princess! LOL! ~~~~~~ This second page I mentioned to you on St Patrick's Day! :) This uses that same very old DP, but brand spankin' new-to-me alphabet set! :) (which is why it wasn't done til last night)
Supplies: Stamps: Just Perfect Alphabet Ink: Tempting Turquoise Paper: Gable Green, Green Galore & Tempting Turquoise card stock, Sweet DP (retired!)

Next up...

...Easter! pages anyway. Old pictures needing scrapped of Easters' past! This double-page-layout starts with a sketch found on Stamp & Scrap. The second page I just put together to more or less coordinate, and use more pictures. There would be journaling along the bottom section of page 1, if my marker worked! :( So, another day when I can borrow that shade... Supplies:
Stamps: ABC Lower Alphabet Ink: Ballet Blue Paper: Cameo Coral card stock, Just Delightful Simply Scrappin' Kit Accessories: Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Mat Pack, Soft Subtles Brads And a couple close-ups for detail...

Seeing Green!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

I am not a big celebrator of this holiday, (tho my husband's family likes to eat Irish food today) but I thought something to show on the blog and something fun in my son's lunch box was definitely appropriate!

The card sketch comes from Jen's SSFYTT, and most of these are colors I rarely use. That fun stripey DP is very old, but I still like it. You'll actually see more of that same pkg later this week, LOL! Its about time I'm using it! Supplies: Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Green Galore, Glorious Green Paper: Green Galore & Whisper White card stocks, Sweet DP (retired) Accessories: Heart to Heart punch

Hope you're all enjoying your day and seeing green!

A storage solution

I needed a way to organize my cards. I need to know if I have a birthday card for this person, or if I need to make a new one... Since I do have so many cards, its a little frustrating and certaintly time-consuming to find out! So, I did this a few weeks ago at my mom's, and then took pictures of the process doing it for myself.

First I punched several tabs with the Round Tab Punch, and then cut them in half. (I used retired Kiwi Kiss cardstock, if anyone wonders)

Then I used the heavier card in the back of all the DP packages and cut it into rectangles that fit my box. I stapled a tab on each of those rectangles. Then I wrote my most frequently used 'topics' (birthday, wedding/love, baby, thank you, etc) on the tabs and sorted them accordingly! It turns out I need ONE more for that stack going vertically. those are all "blank".

But now I know exactly what kinds of cards I have, ready to go! Time to get mailin'.....
