Happy Thanksgiving!
Today is Thanksgiving in the United States. In our family, Thanksgiving means we get together with family, eat a lot of food, and take a little time to think of all the things we are thankful for.
With our own small family we have tried to create traditions that help us focus on how blessed we are, all month long. In recent years we've done a "Thankful Can" where we pull out a slip of paper each day and do something to show gratitude for blessings in our lives (write your grandparents a thank you letter, do something for your sister/brother, take a treat to a neighbor, etc).
This year I saw an idea on Pinterest (haha) and that's what we're doing instead. Each day (or nearly) we write something we're thankful for on one of these die cut leaves *wink, and tape it to the front door! I thought it would be really cool to see all the different things we're thankful for and just how many ways we're blessed!
I used retired DP for all the leaves, and here's a closeup...
I hope that you too feel blessed on this Thanksgiving Day! Enjoy it! :)

Simplest Weekly Page
This is the page for Week 45- and it is the most simple page yet! I wasn't well this week so the camera hardly came out, even tho we were still very busy! I was able to use the MDSM38 sketch for the page, which was actually designed for a card, but works really well with only one photograph!

I also used the MDSM41 sketch and challenge to use bling. I used Rhinestones, which is what I have... Best of all? I am getting lots of pages done!!! *grin!

A Birthday Page
I think this week we're going to feature some scrapbooking- since I've still been working on pages in between classes, haha...In fact, I've made over 100 pages for my families books this year! I'm so excited! *happy dance!
Here is a page I'm very happy with! I finally got around to taking my son's portraits for this year and after seeing a challenge to scrapbook a list, I sat him down and asked him some questions and came up with this page!

Final Christmas Card
Here's the last of my Christmas Card Class!
Just one card today- this one uses the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created card kit, (found on pg 27 of the Holiday Mini) but I wanted to show an alternative if you're like me and already own Christmas stamps. The catalog shows you how the bundled stamp set looks on the card, so I showed how something else looks! And I liked the bow and button over there, tee hee!
Supplies:
Stamps: Special Season
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Real Red
Paper & Accessories: Merry Little Christmas Simply Created card kit, Glue Dots

Just some pretty, punched DSP...
Below, the two back cards have ribbon. The first front one has Rhinestones on the two blue ornaments and the second front card has Silver Mini Brads in the blue ornaments!

Yes, my first Christmas Card Class is tonight!! Are you coming?
In the meantime, here are the final cards from last weeks class! These two are quite masculine, even tho some of the others can certainly be used for men/boys. Supplies:
Stamps: The Open Sea, World Map
Ink: Smoky Slate, Pacific Point, Real Red
Paper: Pacific Point, Whisper White & Real Red card stocks
Accessories: Silver Mini Brads, Dimensionals, Mat Pack
And this one uses a couple of masculine accessories to give it a bit of flair!
Supplies:
Stamps: Six Sided Sampler, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Smoky Slate, Soft Sky, Midnight Muse, Basic Gray
Paper: Smoky Slate & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Epic Day Washi Tape, Neutral Buttons, Hexagon Punch, Glue Dots

Flowers!
Here's a couple flowery cards from my class this week!
This one uses the latest Clean & Simple sketch, and some Washi Tape for the borders around the greeting! I use these flowers a lot and this is a really great result!

Week 20 Page
And today we switch gears and go back to scrapbooking! *grin
I finally had some time to do some catch-up pages on my Weekly Pages, and got to go back to May. I love how this page turned out- and I really love that embellishment cluster! I threw on some pretty things since this page includes Mother's Day. I never do that, (clusters like that) because when I try it always looks forced and...I don't like it, lol. But this one I LOVE!

Butterfly Cards
Today is the day of my All-Occasions Card Class! This is a stack of 12 cards, perfect for a gift, or to keep for yourself! Attendees can stamp any greeting they like and use the cards for whatever occasions they need. The cards I'm sharing today are springy, butterfly cards.
This one uses a recent Freshly Made Sketch, but when I had it all stamped I decided the panel worked better with the card going horizontal instead of vertical.

End of October!
Stampin' Up! has a sale on their print prices during the month of November and I am determined to get as many of my weekly pages done as possible to print at the lower price! *grin
What this means for you is you'll be seeing a lot of digital scrapping, and most of it will be weekly pages!
Here's the week of Halloween...and I gotta say, my November had better be less chaotic than my October was or I may not survive! hahaha...!
Supplies:
MDS October December Whenever content disk
(yes, that's right, I really did wreck my van...what happened in a split second takes about half an hour to explain, but my husband got it completely repaired the very next day! And yes, I know how very blessed I am to have him!)

I was a Guest Designer!!
You know how much I love to use Cheryl's sketches in my scrapbooking...well last month I played along with her sketch challenge and she invited me to be a guest designer on her blog with this months' sketch!
Pretty sure this is something I've never gotten to do before! :) I used it both directions, because the odds of me finding 2 photographs, pointed the same way were very slim!
I found these pics and had to switch gears as to which holiday to celebrate (haha), but here's my take on her sketch, and then I flipped it for the second page!
Supplies:
MDS: Lemonade Stand Content Disk (SAB 2013), Burlap Ribbon download, Recolor Tool
And, how appropriate that I used MDS to create these pages! Did you know today is Digital Scrapbooking Day? Stampin' Up is celebrating by offering a free download today (that you'll want to get today!), a 50% off download each day this week, and 30% off select downloads and print prices! Um, YES!! Go check it out!!

Blog Hop: Gift Giving!
The 1st of November means its time for another fun and inspiring blog hop! This month Julie chose the theme of Gift Giving! The holidays are upon us, so I'm sure you're looking for a quick, creative idea too!
I have two ideas for you today!
First up, straight out of the catalog, page 158 in fact! I chose the Tag A Bag gift bags, and the Tag A Bag Accessory Kit to make this adorable little birthday gift for a friend of mine! I've seen stampers fill these bags with treats, cards, or even some little stamping supplies- what a fun hostess gift idea! These are perfect to make sweet, small gifts for friends, neighbors, coworkers, whoever you need to take a quick gift to. I used a fun greeting set, but you could use any stamp or punch to fill in the tag. And the price can't be beat- 10 bags and 10 tags, all ready for you to put together however you like!
Supplies:
Stamps: Yippee Skippee
Ink: Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry
Paper: Tag A Bag gift bags, Tag A Bag Accessory Kit (tags, twine, clothespin)
Next up I have this little jar. In our corner of the world we like to leave Halloween treats on neighbors door steps and then run away to keep it a surprise. It comes with a note that says you were BOOed. Well, we got BOOed, so we had to pass it on! Handy to have this Gift Giving blog hop coming up too! This project uses the Thankful Tablescape kit, along with a bit of Sweater Weather DP, my Big Shot, and a bunch of glue dots, oh, and an empty pickle jar!
Supplies:
Paper: Thankful Tablescape, Sweater Weather DP
Accessories: Big Shot, Autumn Accents die, Glue Dots
Now go hope thru to see what every one else suggests for your Gift Giving ideas! Be sure and leave comments letting us know what you think! :)
