Today I have a fun page for your Friday!
This time I used a tic-tac-toe challenge and picked the row with orange, chevrons and a tag. I made the tag with layers of card stock, and I used the circle dies to cut out part of it with a different ink. For the chevrons, I used the long retired Chevron Punch on typing paper, then sponged the shapes with shades of orange and gray. I love how that turned out. Then I used the much loved, long retired, Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to mess the page up. His job is cleaning up a bakery and he comes home a MESS, haha! The splatters and streaks and all the things reflect it pretty accurately! I am very happy with how this page turned out!
Supplies:
Stamps; Gorgeous Grunge, Adventure Awaits
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Memento Black, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Peekaboo Peach (retired), Peach Parfait (retired)
Paper: Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie & Peekaboo Peach (retired) card stocks
Accessories: Circle Dies, Big Shot, Black Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Chevron Punch (retired), Stamping Sponges, Stapler

Tropical Birthday
Winter has definitely arrived, just in time for holiday travel. It is snowy, windy and very cold! Later today I need to stop by the home of someone who happens to have a birthday today so of course I need to take a birthday card with me! This is what I whipped up last night, to counter the very cold weather. I used the now passed Freshly Made Sketch and it fits the November #simplestamping challenge, which is totally random, haha! But I really like how it turned out and I might make a few more to have on hand!
Supplies:
Stamps: Friend Like You
Ink: Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green
Paper: Whisper White & Granny Apple Green card stock
Accessories: Copper Trim, Glue Dots
I started by sponging the "sand", then I stamped the waves in Bermuda Bay and sponged more Bermuda Bay over them. Then I did the tree trunks in the sand, and the palm leaves over that. Super simple, super cute- and it could be for anyone!

12th Grade!
Happy Monday to you! Today's post mixes things up just a bit...
Obviously, since I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I get almost all of my inventory from Stampin' Up! That's what keeps me in business after all... haha! However, right now we only carry a black scrapbook album. I like the albums to reflect the person if at all possible. My husband used to buy albums for Christmas, but the store he shopped at went out of business. So I tried the local scrapbook store to see what they had...and literally stumbled upon an aisle of DP and stickers featuring the four nearest high schools and the two nearest universities. Of COURSE I had to get some from my kids' school! Soo this page is still a lot of Stampin' Up! but a little bit other too.
Supplies:
Paper: Whisper White, Balmy Blue & Pacific Point card stocks, misc DP
Accessories: Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine, Big Shot, Large Numbers Dies (retired) misc stickers

July Calendar Page!
Today I have the obviously July page for my inlaws calendar, haha. I knew you'd never guess... The background is pretty simple because there are a lot of photos on this page, which is of course their favorite part.
Colors are Pacific Point, Real Red and Whisper White.

May Calendar Page
Hello again! Calendar week continues! Here is the May page for my inlaws calendar. I shared April's page in October.
This time, I used the second half of THIS sketch, off Pinterest. I also used a color challenge, which I almost never do. I just couldn't pick colors for this page and I really like how these colors worked together. It's Old Olive, Pool Party and Poppy Parade.

March Calendar Page
Today I've got the March page for my inlaws for you.
For this page, I used half of THIS sketch off Pinterest. The colors came from the pictures, mostly. I wanted Tempting Turquoise blue behind the rainy looking DP, Pistachio Pudding green for St Patrick's Day (the top pic was the 17th), there's a lot of orange going on, so I added a bit of that too with Tangerine Tango. And then the circles are in Bermuda Bay to coordinate with the Turquoise. I'm happy with it.

Calendars Week!
Happy Monday, again. I had several posts started, but that's as far as last week went! I've been really busy helping my parents move and all the rest of life. So I'm prepping posts for the rest of this week for you!
I have made a lot of progress on calendars, which is good because Christmas is coming and these have to be ordered, haha! So here's the February page for my inlaws.
Again, this is all made with the long-retired MDS. The heart is part of a kit and it's Rose Red. I chose the colors from the color combo tool, which was an awesome feature. That gave me Raspberry Ripple, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay. I left off the Wild Wasabi in this case. I think it turned out cute!

Single Photo Page!
I know, I know, you didn't know I could do it. Especially for my parents calendar, because my mom really wants everyone featured on every page. okay, okay, not a single photo layout, haha, but very close!
Happily, we had a group family photo taken this summer at the reunion my parents and I put together for my dad's whole family. A new little nephew was born in the last few weeks so I snagged this picture and added him- so that's everyone! And since the photo part of the page was kept simple, I added lots of overlays and embellishments. The ribbon is recolored from Island Indigo to Elegant Eggplant and I love how it turned out!

Jack O Lanterns!
More scrapping!! Yeay! But this time, it's all current except the alphabet set and the ribbon! How cool is that?! Well, and the pictures are from last year too...but that's okay.
I seriously love this pretty DP from the Holiday mini. The photos had a lot of color going on, so I liked the neutral+peacock in the DP. It has two pumpkin prints, so I used both of them (couldn't pick my favorite!) and then I used leaf accents instead of pumpkins... there are leaves in the DP, and also, I just didn't want to go down and dig for pumpkin stamps or whatever I might have. Leaves were upstairs with my current stuff, easy to find, and happen to look amazing in these colors anyway, haha. So that's what I did.
Supplies:
Stamps: Colorful Seasons, Whimsical Upper ABC (retired!)
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron & Early Espresso card stock, Come to Gather DP
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Dies, Big Shot, Early Espresso Quilted Satin Ribbon (retired)
And here's some close up of the embellishment sections.
I know I need to focus on the calendars, but I'm also making these pages and not showing the kids, like I usually do. I'm just putting them in their books and when they find them, they'll find them!
*in this case, she'll find it tomorrow. unless she finds it today, haha.

Winter & Autumn
Today's post may look just a bit familiar...!
The first one was intentional. I wanted to redesign THIS rabbit card to fit my Christmas Card class. I wanted some blue, so I went with the Buffalo Check background in Navy. Love it! Here's how it turned out:
Supplies:
Stamps: Nature's Beauty, Buffalo Check
Ink: Night of Navy, Memento Black, Smoky Slate
Paper: Smoky Slate & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: White Bakers Twine, Metallic Pearls, Wink of Stella, Dimensionals
Of course, then I also realized I've already used this set, with Buffalo Check, in blue at the last card class... awesome. At least I know what I like! haha!!
And then I've been wanting to do the Buffalo Check with an orangey color, for fall. So I put this together and then realized that both cards were practically the same as the first time around! Nice... ha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Nature's Beauty, Buffalo Check
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Cajun Craze, Basic Black & Very Vanilla card stocks
I'm gonna keep telling you- this animal stamp set is a great one. For every set sold, $3 goes to mental health organizations and that is a VERY good thing.

Christmas Lights!
Back to cards, hee hee. I've got a Christmas card for you today. I wanted to hold my class this week, but Halloween kept me a bit too busy and I've had a sick toddler ever since sooo I'm still designing my class! sheesh....
I used the latest sketch from the Global Design Project blog. I haven't yet been able to order any of the new Christmas paper so I thought out of the box for this one. I could have used card stock, but I really wanted some kind of print... Perennial Essence had this lovely green sheet that I thought worked just great!
Supplies:
Stamps: Making Christmas Bright
Ink: Real Red, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Mossy Meadow Marker
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Perennial Essence DP
Accessories: Linen Thread, Dimensionals

Halloween Page!
I know, two scrapbook days in a row! It was a good weekend for me, haha! But this is a calendar page too. It's November and I gotta get these calendars done!
This is everyone in my parents family who dressed up for Halloween, so that's who made the page, haha. I tried to follow this sketch that I thought was so cool- the circles on top and all the rectangle space, but since it was me combining a double layout, I couldn't fit all the elements. ...perhaps you can tell I like pumpkins best of the Halloween type images, hahaha...? And I found the quote online. I wanted some kind of text and that fit all these kiddos!

Thankful Pages
Today I have a different idea for you. A few different years we've done this- I die cut a tonnn of leaf shapes and have them ready to go. Every day, we're "supposed" to each write on a leaf, something we are thankful for. Then we tape it to the front door so that every time we leave (thru that door anyway....) we see all these things that are good in our lives! The kids enjoy doing it, and I like helping them be grateful. There is power in gratitude, so this is a great activity.
Last November, I decided to snap a picture of the door, and then keep the leaves and scrapbook it for the kids! So they got their own collection of leaves, and why we do this. That means I quickly got 5 pages done!

We Create Regals Collection Blog Hop
Hello November! The first of the month always means a new blog hop, so here we go!
This month we're focusing on the Regals color family. I thought a while about some kind of lovely autumn project... And then it snowed. A lot. like 6 inches on Sunday and a bit more on Monday. Well, winter sunsets happen to be gorgeous around here, so okay, I settled on a sponged sunset! Somewhere I've seen this girl on a swing in front of a sunset, but I couldn't find it, so I did my own version entirely! And I love it! And yes, that is snow on the ground behind the cards!
But I also liked the dandelion die from the same bundle... So I went ahead and made another card, almost the same!
Supplies:
Stamps: Silhouette Scenes
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Memento Black
Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Garden Green & Basic Black card stocks
Accessories: Stampin' Sponges, Scalloped Lace Trim, Sweet Silhouettes dies, Big Shot, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
Both cards used the current Paper Players Sketch. I am very pleased with how they turned out!
Hop on over to Cheryl's blog by clicking below and see what she's put together for you. Then hop on thru- it's pretty short today with the holiday and everything. Let us know what you think of our work!

And for those dying to know- I had one "dressed up", a panda bear and someone who was a ladybug for trick or treating at the mall (just in case it was way too cold), a witch to go grocery shopping, and a unicorn for trick or treating! haha!
