Blue Ranunculus

I almost never post twice in one day, but I wanted to participate in a couple challenges, so here I am!
This pretty card uses the color combination from Color Throwdown, along with the theme from SUO Challenges. I actually used two shades of Balmy Blue- the ranunculus is stamped normally, the vine kind of flower is stamped off onto scratch paper before stamping on the card front.

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance
Ink: Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Paper: Balmy Blue, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: White Baker's Twine, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Blending Brush

This was also my first time trying out the Blending Brushes that are in the Annual Catalog. They're easier to use than sponges and much less messy, haha! And it was fun! I plan to use it at my next class, and I definitely recommend them!

Ghirardelli Treats!

I meant to have posts scheduled this past week, but only got them all started, and never actually hit "post".

We are staying busy, getting all we can out of this summer and that isn't leaving a lot of time for other things. So here's another Disney trip layout for you! If you're going, I highly recommend visiting the Ghirardelli shop in California Adventure! We would get a few things and share them, so that we could try a variety, and everything here was UHmazing!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sprinkles of Life, Whimsical Alphabet Upper & Lower
Ink: Seaside Spray, Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip marker
Paper: Seaside Spray, Bella Birds DP
Accessories: Tree Builder Punch, Crystal Effects
Journaling Font: English 157BT

How are YOU enjoying this summer??

Old + New

Happy Monday! I have a lot going on this week, but I am determined to have posts for you anyway! It's a hot week coming up- you might just want to stay inside and craft!

So today I have a Disneyland scrapbook page for you. This page mixes this brand new alphabet set, and I really like this font, with some very. old. DP. I think this package of DP was purchased for my very first class ever. Really, really. And I don't love this sheet, at all, lol. But I felt like it worked well for this jungley lunch page. It was hot this day too, hence my melting daughters, haha.

Supplies:
Stamps: Alphabest
Ink: Old Olive
Paper: So Saffron card stock, Petals & Paisleys DP (2006!)
Accessories: Sycamore Street Island Indigo ribbon (long retired)
Journaling Font: Grilled Cheese BTN

Paper Pumpkin for Birthdays!

Happy Friday!
Today's is a long post. But, the thing I really want you to know today is that if you sign up for a 3 month, 6 month or a 12 month prepaid subscription to Paper Pumpkin, you'll get to choose FREE Sale-A-Bration products! The Sale-A-Bration mini is on my side bar, altho the Pool Party & Soft Seafoam cards and envelopes have sold out (yes, already!). You can sign up easily by clicking right HERE, and the next beautiful kit's sneak peek is right here!

It makes me crazy that I tend to forget birthdays until the birthday is TODAY, but that is apparently how my brain is wired and I haven't been able to change that yet...! And I am pretty good at remembering when "today" is someone's birthday, so I suppose that's something? Anyway, I was in need of an 'emergency' card, because who knew that birthday was coming up for the past 365 days, lol, and I also knew I would need a gift pretty soon too, so I completed the Paper Pumpkin kit from Aug 2017!

First the birthday cards, (which use greetings from other past PP kits)

and then finished the kit...

to put together a gift, since that IS how it was designed!

The only other time I've used this particular set was in July 2020, which you can view HERE.
And here is what I still have left to play with on future cards or scrapbook pages!! Just in case you're not sure it's worth the price. It really is.

~~~
And since late July is a good time to review goals for the year, here's a little update on that...
in 2022, I have made a total of 86 cards, and mailed out 31 of them.
I have made a total of 148 pages (132 of them are of Disneyland!!!) and my goal for the year was 110. ahem...
and I have finished off 5 Paper Pumpkin kits! Yeay!!
Giant Ferris Wheel
Today I have another of our Disney pages for you. This one ended up a really fun layout, and I'm pretty sure that's because I scrap-lifted someone else's layout, haha! You can see that inspiration HERE.
Almost every ride we did in Disney, we alllll did together. And we hit almost every single ride! But this ferris wheel is just too high for a couple of us, lol. My youngest really, really wanted to go on it, and worse than that, haha, she wanted a swinging cart! (that's them in the center of each of the first three photos) Fortunately she has a good daddy who is not afraid of heights who was happy to join her. And it did make for some fun photos. He even got a video of her singing her heart out enjoying the view!
Supplies:
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic (retired!), Alphabet Appeal Lower (retired!)
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay
Paper: Gorgeous Grape, Bumblebee (retired!), Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Glimmer Brads (retired!), Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon (retired!)
Sale-A-Bration DP!
Today I have a fun and quick card, tho another one really featuring DP! This is another print in the Rings Of Love DP, which is only available during Sale-A-Bration, thru August 31, or while supplies last!
For this card, I used the sketch from Just Add Ink and did something a little different for me. Typically I stick to one or two stamp sets/bundles. But this time I really wanted a die from the Ranunculus dies, and I used words from the Lovely You stamp set, which all works but wasn't "designed" to!
Supplies:
Stamps: Lovely You
Ink: Poppy Parade
Paper: Whisper White & Poppy Parade card stock, Rings of Love DP
Accessories: Ranunculus Dies, Glue Dots, Big Shot (retired)
A Pelican!
Last February we took our kids to the ocean for the first time ever, and it was my first time to see a pelican, that I know of. And yesterday was the first time I've inked up this pelican image!
Today's DP is from the Sale-A-Bration freebies and it really has a lot of cute prints! It coordinates with the Ringed With Nature bundle, found on page 62 of the July-Dec Mini, and if you purchase that bundle (which is 10% off!), the pretty paper is FREE!
*Incidentally, to make this card, purchasing the Waves stamp set and die bundle also earns you this DP free!
For this card, I used the sketch from Global Design Project along with the nautical challenge from SUO Challenges and I absolutely love how this card turned out!
Supplies:
Stamps: Waves of Inspiration
Ink: Gray Granite
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Rings of Love DP
Accessories: Waves Dies, Watercolor Pencils, Baker's Twine, Circles Dies, Big Shot (retired)
Gorgeous New DP!
Today was the first chance I have had to create anything this month, and I am prepping for a class! YEAY! (It's on Tuesday if you want to RSVP!)
For this first card, I used the latest sketch from the Fusion Card Challenge and this gorgeous DP was easily the star of the show. I am the first to admit I don't love gold. I really don't. But I have two kids who like gold and shine, so I knew this DP would be great for scrapping and making cards for them. And then I saw all the pages in the pack and I love every side except one, haha! That's kind of huge!
So for now, I used both sides of one sheet, and here's what I made!
Supplies:
Stamps: Inspired Thoughts
Ink: Soft Suede
Paper: Petal Pink card stock, Texture Chic DP
Accessories: Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, Dimensionals
And here's a view with the sun shining differently so you don't see the shine.
