White Christmas Wreath

Today I have a fun idea for a card. And it fits the Inspire.Create.Challenge for Christmas, and I think it fits the Paper Players challenge for Its Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas. Altho maybe the white on white makes me think it's more clean and simple than it really is....

Twice this week I saw a similar idea- one was a suggested ornament card to make with your kids, and one was THIS card from a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. It's been stewing in my brain and I interrupted other things to sit down and make it! ha! I went off memory, and what I have, so it's not quite a copy, but strongly inspired by.

I traced a "wreath" shape (and size!) using the outer die for the wood wreath in the Encircled by Nature dies. For the dots, I know I have at least one other stamp set that has a small dot but the first one that came to mind was from like the second Paper Pumpkin kit I ever got. I stamped it in four colors a bit randomly around the wreath.
Then I die cut the wreath I have not yet used, in white, to layer on top! I added just a few dot embellishments (including those elusive Peppermint dots!) randomly and stamped a greeting from the October Paper Pumpkin kit!
And I rather love it!
Supplies:
Stamps: Oct 2024 Paper Pumpkin, very old Paper Pumpkin
Ink: Lemon Lolly, Shy Shamrock, Garden Green, Poppy Parade, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Basic White card stock
Accessories: Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots, Adhesive backed Peppermints, Encircled in Nature Dies, big shot

What do you think?
(oh, I did erase the penciled wreath, but the Cherry Cobbler ink wasn't quite dry and smudged. ....did it need erased? meh... maybe not.)

Happiest Dragonflies!

Today I've got another card using those pre-cut bits. I switched the base to another color, making the card completely different. The dies were cut to make THIS card. Swapping the blue base for the retired Sweet Sorbet, and using different stamps, completely changed the card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Happiest Day
Ink: Sweet Sorbet (retired), Flirty Flamingo, Memento Black
Paper: Sweet Sorbet (retired), Basic Black & Basic White card stock
Accessories: Circle Dies, big shot (retired)

Leftovers...!

Sometimes when I do a card class, there are people who don't come, or sometimes I cut too many or just different things happen that cause me to end up with a bunch of pre-cut supplies, that just collect. I really want to clean out my craft room and be able to work IN THERE (silly me...) so I pulled out these stacks of card supplies and threw some together!

So far this one is my favorite. You can see the original design HERE, which was really only September, haha. I did a pink forest this time.
Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Evergreens, Shepherd's Care
Ink: Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Pretty in Pink, Petal Pink
Paper: Calypso Coral, Basic White card stocks, Country Woods DP
Accessories: White Crinkled Ribbon (retired)

Father's Day x2

So last week I pulled printed photos from the box intended for the albums for my husband and I. That is usually where I scrap Mother's Days and Father's Days.

Today I have two different Father's Day's scrapped, ha. Very simple, got it done, kind of pages. I used the same pack of DP, but they won't be next to each other in the albums so it doesn't matter in the slightest. haha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Alphabest, Well Said - both retired
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue
Paper: Basic White card stock, Parker's Patterns DP (retired)
Accessories: 2023-25 In Color Dots (retired)

Supplies:
Stamps: Beside Me
Ink: Pebbled Path
Paper: Soft Seafoam card stock, Parker's Patterns DP (retired)

Halloween, long ago.

I haven't shared scrapping in over a month, but that doesn't mean I haven't been scrapping. Last week I got a lot of pages made- both digi and traditional. I'll save the Christmas themed pages for December because I usually don't get a lot of crafty time in December, ha.
But for today, here's a couple almost identical pages I made last week, of an unexpected Halloween pic of each of my now-big kiddos.

Supplies:
Paper: Basic Black, Halloween Night Specialty DP (2016?)
Accessories: Neutrals Candy Dots (long retired)

Mossy Pines!

Today I have the same Pine card as last time, but this one is in Mossy Meadow! Again, taking my color choice from this awesome DP. I might need a second pack.......!

The photos make the Mossy Meadow card stock and ink look almost black, but it really isn't. And shiny gold is difficult to photograph...
Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Evergreens, Oct 2024 Paper Pumpkin
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Paper: Season of Elegance DP, Mossy Meadow & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Iridescent Foil Gems

Dear Santa

Today's card is cute... but maybe not my favorite... The problem is I was designing for my card class, and the brown and yellow pencils are already being used. That meant I was limited to colors aside from those. It worked, it's cute, just not exactly what I was picturing today, lol.

Today I used the latest sketch from Just Add Ink. I will definitely play with this some more! (the sketch, and the stamp set!)
Supplies:
Stamps: Dear Santa
Ink: Stazon Black
Paper: Garden Green & Basic White card stock, A Little Bit Festive DP
Accessories: Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens

Pines in Peacock!

Happy Monday! Inching ever closer to the best holidays!
This time I used Pretty Peacock for these gorgeous pine trees. I wanted to make the DP work with it, and that determined my colors. However, I wasn't sure which way I wanted to use the card base and card front, so I tried both!
Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Evergreens, Oct 2024 Paper Pumpkin
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Paper: Season of Elegance DP, Pretty Peacock & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Iridescent Foil Gems

And a close up of each:

Pretty Paper

Happy Friday! I think we made it...!
Today I have another card for my upcoming class. This is such a quick card, you could crank out dozens with one pack of DP (actually, if you used this exact layout, you could make 8 cards with each sheet of 12x12 DP. That's a lot!) I like this design because it gives a chance to let the DP shine without covering the whole card. Little paper, little embellishment and a greeting and you're set!

So first, the one we'll make at my class:
Then another variation because I liked the paper:
Supplies:
Stamps: Oct 2024 Paper Pumpkin
Ink: Poppy Parade
Paper: Sentimental Christmas DP, Poppy Parade & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Iridescent Striped Trim, Dimensionals

Also, a tip on how I attached the ribbon in the middle like that, ha:
Scotch Tape is my favorite way to add ribbon to anything!
