This one was for "Hoarders". Scrapbookers are notorious for buying too many supplies and then saving them for that one special page...whatever that is supposed to mean! LOL! So we had to use up some of those supplies! Personally, I have realized that a scrapbook is is the best place for those kinds of items- a scrapbook is supposed to be kept forever. Cards people might actually *gasp* throw away! tee hee....

Scrapbook Challenges!!
Well, a part of this group participates in the Virtual Scrap Book Night (vsbn). This time they were seriously lacking hostesses, so I volunteered! eeeek! I am SO excited, and a little nervous!!! But if you go HERE you can see 16 brand new challenges to get your scrapping groove on! They all have a reality tv theme, but you'd be amazed what you can come up with for them! My challenge will be posted at 8am tomorrow! I would love for you to come play too! Post the picture to the site, to your own blog, or email me a pic! *grin
As hostess, we get to see each other's challenges a head of time so that we can get them worked on, and focus on hostessing when its our turn, instead of working. So here are my two of my challenge submissions! Expect to see more scrapping in days to come!

Cinema Mojo
Ok, wow- three weeks in a row with the Cinema Saturday Challenge! I might not be getting in any other craft time, but I am getting that one done! haha! This week the flick is Ooooklahoma! My little girl LOVES this movie, so I've seen it at least twice a month for the past year. The only trouble was finding something that worked...haha- a rooster, wheat patterend paper and gingham ribbon did it, I think!
I also used this week's Mojo Monday 135 sketch for the layout.
The best part? it'll be put in the mail later today! YEAY!

April Scrapbook Class
You can find ALL KINDS of DP in any craft store. Stampin' Up! always has a beautiful -and broad- selection, always in our fun colors. But sometimes you can't find the *right* colors, or the *right* images for the page you are trying to create. So make your own! Yeay!
So for my 12x12 page I used the apple image...
Supplies: Stamps: Tart & Tangy, Taffy Alphabet Ink: Real Red, Certainly Celery Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White Accessories: Real Red striped grosgrain ribbon
Supplies: Stamps: Tart & Tangy, Just Perfect Alphabet Ink: Real Red, Certainly Celery Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White Accessories: Real Red striped grosgrain ribbon
Same basic supplies, same basic layout, and two different looks! And SO easy to customize!

Peaceful Birthday
So, I've done the watercolored rose card a few times, and I thought I'd like to try it with this flower. I don't know what it is, I think its a lily, and so I also have no idea what it should look like. I envision it a blueish-purply color, so that's what I used! LOL!
I actually watercolored it using Ballet Blue ink, but I had no problem mounting it on Almost Amethyst card stock! These are all colors that are retiring soon, and this stamp set is on sale during April, sooo you might want to look into placing an order! *grin*

Balloons? Check!
Can you believe it- I am playing with the Cinema Challenge, two weeks in a row, ON TIME! Whoo!
This time the selected flick was "Up!". And they wanted balloons. We went as a family to see that in theaters and then my kids watched it daily after getting it for Christmas for a long time. It just happens that my little girl's birthday is this week, so I had already made the invite (below) and needed to make her a card still! Score!
I picked this particular balloon set because this is the set she ALWAYS chooses when she needs to make a card. I thought I'd paper-piece the monkey, and then used the In Colors for the bright balloons! Super simple, just really time consuming! Supplies:
Stamps: Sock Monkey Ink: Basic Black, Soft Suede Paper: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Suede Prints DPAnd here is her birthday party invitation! The set is long-retired but I like it for kid things. I let her pick which child image, and then which birthday 'accessories' to use. When I had them all stamped in black she saw and made a comment about how she hoped they would be colorful...! Made me laugh.

CAS Vintage...
It seems to me that Vintage usually means a lot of layers and embellishments. But for the Cinema Challenge this week, they asked for CAS- clean and simple.
I *had* to play along tho, since it was Sense & Sensibility, which may possibly be my very favorite movie! So, I chose some colors that I feel are part of the movie, chose my sweet new set, and a sentiment that also fits perfectly! ...and tried to keep it clean and simple! LOL!
Supplies:
Stamps: Vintage Vogue
Ink: Bordering Blue, Close to Cocoa
Paper: Bordering Blue, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Scoring Blade, Dimensionals
I scored along the Cocoa paper, vertically, about every half inch. I thought it gave it an antique feel without adding much to the card. Love the movie, happy with the card! yeay!
