New Paper!!

Okay, so the biggest draw for me to Stampin' Up! way back when was that they had BOY stuff. I had a son, I'd just finished scrapbooking my one of my younger brothers life up to that point and craft stores had nothing for boys but car stickers, and red, blue, orange and green card stock.
....and when they pass the stage of primary-colored rounded-cars...what shall we use??

This new catalog from Stampin' Up! has stamps for boys of ALL ages. Seriously, I cannot wait to get my hands on the Tool Shed background stamp for my dad! And the Need for Speed set is perfect for my brothers' birthday/fathers day cards! And my son keeps growing up on me (rude!) and no longer wants the cute trains or zoo animals that I have. So in my baby steps to acquire it all (ROFL), I purchased this fabulous, new Well Worn DP for boy/man projects. Check out the fabulous prints!
and created a scrapbook layout for my son at my workshop yesterday using it!
Supplies:
Stamps: Under the Stars
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Well Worn DP, Not Quite Navy, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze card stocks
Accessories: Twill Tape

now all I need is the Daring Adventure stamp set, the denim ribbons, the mini brads..........and then I can make the adorable things found on page 144! And my boys will love it as much as me! :D

The card I gave him I actually posted in May, but here's the cropped version....

And then here's the final card from my "father's day" card class. I made it a birthday card instead...
The idea is a near-CASE of THIS one on SCS.

Ink: Basic Black, Soft Suede
Paper: More Mustard, Basic Black, Soft Suede, Whisper White

Random Fun

This digital page has un-related photos of my son enjoying life throughout one month. So its just some random fun. :) I love these fun froggies for a playful touch. That's whats so great about My Digital Studio- these frogs came from a simply scrappin kit a few years ago but on the software they never retire and you never run out!
Then, it occurred to me I never shared these new cards I made the other day to put in the men's teacher gifts. I was going for some kind of puzzle block look but couldn't make these images do exactly that. The two cards are laid out a little different, but the objects are stamped in the same inks and other wise exactly the same.
Supplies:
Stamps: Under the Stars
Ink: Basic Black, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, More Mustard
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, Whisper White

I've quit thinking my life is ever going to calm down, I am just trying to figure it all out the way it is! LOL!

Mojo Birthday

My dad's birthday was this week, so I used Julee's sketch to get me going! The photo is not wonderful because I needed it in the mail way before then, but I decided it was alright...its a yellow-y card so why not yellow-y lighting...? LOL! Supplies: Stamps: Under The Stars Ink: Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, Garden Green, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel Paper: Creamy Caramel, So Saffron & Really Rust card stocks Accessories: Linen Thread

This is the card my son made him... (I forgot to take pictures of the cards my daughter made!) You wanna know what else? Until the 31st, if you buy these sets (or any others from the Growing Up section of the new catalog -for a minimum of $35 from that section), you can get a free package of really cute buttons!!! Fun, huh?!

Workshop!

I had a workshop this weekend, so here are two of the projects I showed… First, this card turned out fabulously! Actually, I browsed Beate’s blog for some inspiration, can you tell? Hee hee! Supplies: Stamps: Congrats Ink: Chocolate Chip Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, & Kiwi Kiss card stock, Urban Garden DP Accessories: Pretties Kit, White Organza Ribbon, Wide Oval Punch, Jumbo Brads Second, this tag – it’s a very simple idea but another way of using your stamp supplies. Just add it to a gift and you’re good to go! It would work well for a masculine gift, especially if he’s a camper! LOL
Supplies: Stamps: Under The Stars Ink: Chocolate Chip, Versamark Paper: Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel, Always Artichoke cardstocks Accessories: Star Punch, Red Hemp If you are in need of any supplies, let me know. I’m submitting this order Friday!

Mosquitos!

As soon as I saw Beate's sketch for this weekend, I knew I wanted to have the card base be the patterned piece. I pulled out this set because its new and I hoped to use it. And I came up with a funny! ...which is just a tiny bit annoying because that was the OCC Challenge for last week. haha! O well....here's the card:

One thing I did a little differently today was dyed the ribbon two colors- one side is with Chocolate Chip and the other is Mellow Moss. You can't really tell, but it was fun to try that!

Supplies:

Stamps: Under The Stars, Sincere Salutations

Ink: Close to Cocoa, Mellow Moss

Paper: Mellow Moss, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla card stocks

Accessories: White grosgrain ribbon, Stamping Sponges (to dye the ribbon)

New Stamps & New Colors!

Woohooo for something new! The stamp set is actually my mom's (THANKS MOM!) but since the orders come to my house sometimes she lets me play with them first. Actually, she always lets me. I just don't always.

Originally this was going to be for Taylor's Cupcake sketch...but I missed. haha! When I saw how far off I was, I added the three brads and called it good. Its for Hunter anyway, he doesn't care if I followed a sketch. ;) Since he's taking his lunch to school I thought that at least once a week I could include a card for him. I think he'll like it a lot.

Ooo! Don't forget- this stamp set is 15% off until September 30. Its a super cute camping set, which I can always use!

Supplies: Stamps: Under The Stars Ink: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White Accessories: Silver Brads, Blender Pens, Stamping Sponges, Tag Punch

I had to give you a card to look at today after so much family stuff lately. (and plenty more to come...!) Thanks for all the comments left about the look into my real life. I was laughing about the comments most of the afternoon, long after walking away from the computer. I'll have to share more glimpses! I know I'm not alone, but it sure feels like it when you're in the moment.

Oh! Something to take note of...I added a few new blogs to my side bar that are "awesome, helpful" blogs! I suggest taking a look because I've sure enjoyed browsing them. I like helpful hints!
