Winter Scrap

In spite of everything this week, I got some scrapping done! Just a little bit, but there is definitely more to come! LOL! I think these photos were even taken this year (2009) so that's exciting too! LOL! Supplies:
Stamps: Taffy ABC, Swirling Snow? Tilda - Magnolia Stamps Ink: Baja Breeze, Pale Plum Paper: Pale Plum, Baja Breeze, Barely Banana, Whisper White card stock, Winter...? DP (retired) Accessories: Snowflake Big Shot Die!!!, Watercolor Crayons, Blender Pen And here are a couple close-ups of the details, including the snowflake die done with the Big Shot! Fun, huh??

and this adorable little girl image... (sorry about the very weird lighting, don't know what happened there!)

And a funny story...Not sure exactly who "taught" my daughter how to make a snow angel, but she moves her arms and legs as she should, and also shakes her head back and forth really quickly too....makes me laugh every time!

Mojo Thursday!

(Be sure and scroll down to see the blog candy!)

Yep, I'm reading for spring! As I'm typing this (not the day it's posting) I have three windows open, am wearing short sleeves and it is fabulous! ...snow is supposed to be coming this week tho, so we'll see how long it lasts...

So here is a fabulous, warm card for Julee's Mojo Sketch 76. I really like her sketches- they're easy for me to work with! ...however, I wonder if I over-thought this card...lol!

And a detail shot so you can see the dotty strip across the bottom!

ETA: yeah, TODAY we woke up to 4 inches of snow.......it's gotta end sometime tho, right? LOL

Red & Green!

It is really cold here so even without snow its feeling more like Christmas! So, today I have Three more festive cards!
This first one comes from the OCC Saturday Challenge, which this week was a sketch by Julee! I try to do her sketches every week already, so of course I wanted to play here too. I really liked this one! Supplies: Stamps: Holiday Tag Team (retired) Ink: Basic Black Craft, Real Red, Old Olive, More Mustard Paper: Real Red, Old Olive & Whisper White card stocks, Dashing DP (retired) Accessories: Mat Pack, BB Buttons, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Blender Pens
See, I liked the sketch so much I almost did this one to match! I just didn't come up with anything for the little accent in the lower corner.

Using stuff!

I've gotten some FUN things in the mail lately and I decided to play with them! This card has what became 5 elements from the goodie bag my friend Eve sent, previously shown here.

She showed this kind of card stock on her blog when she listed her favorite things. It really is cool because it has this sparkly, shimmery look, but it feels like regular card stock! She did the heart film-strip using that card stock. I punched the hearts out and scattered them onto the Chocolate chunk of card stock. Then she also sent that silver X charm. X as in KISS. As you may guess, this card is for my honey! hee hee! I am so lovin' that pink snowman concept that I had to use some more, and the sentiment works nicely!

Supplies: Stamps: The World Over Ink: Basic Black, Pretty in Pink Paper: White Naturals, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip & unknown card stocks Accessories: die-cuts, silver charm, silver cord, Chocolate Chip grosgrain, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pen, Stamping Sponge

Then, I signed up for the Wish-RAK group on SCS and am in love with the little Magnolia images that arrived yesterday! They are just the sweetest images! So here's this card I made yesterday afternoon!

I just love Tilda! You'll definitely be seeing some more in the days to come...!

Supplies: Stamps: Tilda with bunch of flowers, Sock Monkey Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Perfect Plum Paper: Marigold Morning, Perfect Plum & White card stock Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
