I finally got another couple pages done again. They're identical, haha! I made one of these for each of my daughters, and this page is why I bought this cute stamp set! This particular stamp image is an awful lot like my girls, so this was a perfect match.

Today I have a super simple page, but it's done and it's something to share. haha!

A couple years ago for the 4th of July I took the big kids on a short hike which ends with a small waterfall and pool at the end. It really is so simple- just card stock, and one stamp going across the page, haha!

6th Grade

Yep, more scrapbooking!! I'm excited how much I've gotten done lately!!
Today I have another first day of school and another Simply Scrappin' kit. But this time, I don't know what the kit was called! "Pinwheels ---" is all I have, because the label was torn. Anyway, it was a pretty full kit still so I had some fun filling in the spaces on these pages.

And here's a close up because I just cannot get a good photo of photos right now! sigh... Can't win them all.

Sending Happy

My newest Paper Pumpkin kit arrived Wednesday. I didn't even plan to get this one, but a- it is super cute, b- it is easy and c- it could not have come at a better time if they tried! It says things like "No matter the weather, we're in this together." ....on top of COVID-19 keeping us all home and inside, Wednesday there was an earthquake an hour away from us. And it's been snowy/rainy at my house ever since. Alrighty!!

Yesterday while the big kids were doing their new online school, and the little was painting with watercolors, I put the entire kit together. I used some greetings from past PP kits because I have specific people in mind for almost all twelve cards, and these are sweet sympathy cards and great birthday cards too!

And ALL the left over bits! Remember, the "birthday" kits (Paper Pumpkin's birthday) come with an additional stamp set. I didn't even use it this time, but I WILL.

I haven't bought dimensionals or glue dots in a couple years, not even kidding. They send enough in my PP kits to keep me stocked, even for classes! Love that!!

What are you doing during this time at home? I highly suggest you put some cards together and send them in the mail! Can you think of anyone that is lonely that could use something fun in the mail? Know anyone who is stressed OUT about the whole thing? Know anyone with a birthday coming up? They could all use something happy in the mail! It's like a hug, I swear! Plus it helps ME feel better knowing that I brightened someone else's day.

Lighthouse Thanks

Today I'm sharing the last of the card class creations.I don't know when I'm holding this class with circumstances as they are.... ANYWAY! Again, this uses the same sketch for all five cards. Makes it easy to design a class that way, that's for sure!

I looove this suite of products but I don't use it nearly enough. I think I need a trip to the ocean... A different day, ha. And like with other class designs- more than one greeting fits on this card so people can pick what they want.

4th Grade

Still plugging away over here, Honestly, I'm enjoying some time with the big kids home to help entertain the little one so I can get scrapping done, haha! They'll have school work required soon enough, so I've been scrapping while I can!

This day I pulled out some old Simply Scrappin kits and a lot of old photos! First up, the first day of 4th grade! ha!

Remember Simply Scrappin' Kits? apparently I didn't remember them very well- they came with sheets of card stock!! YEAY! haha! And a bunch of stickers that all work together so nicely! This was the Primary Colors kit, released in 2007. I THINK the colors are Wild Wasabi, More Mustard, Real Red and Ballet Blue?? LOL! Regardless, I am very happy with how the page turned out. And glad it's done!

St Patrick's Day Scrapping!!!

Happy St Patrick's Day to you!
Do you celebrate? We haven't really done much...the kids wear green, we usually watch Darby O'Gill and the Little People and that's pretty much it. Sometimes my husband makes colcannon or corned beef, but we really don't do a whole lot.
Growing up we did even less, haha... my mother hates the color green (her mother had green EVERYTHING and she's still sick of it, hahaha!) and my father haaates that pinching is ever acceptable, and I don't think we knew we had actual Irish heritage until the about two years ago.
My husband's father has Irish ancestry not too far back and his family likes Irish food so that's where the dinners come from.
But, I totally jumped on the idea exploding all over facebook to hang some kind of shamrock in a window (drawn, printed, cut out, anything) and then we could all walk or drive around and find them to get out of the house, haha. We made one to hang in our front window and our back window since the back of our house faces a walking path. We'll eat corned beef, potatoes and soda bread on Sunday, haha!

All that to say that today I wanted share something festive with you today!! So last night I decided to digi scrap a couple recent years entire St Patrick's Day's.

Swim Meet!

How are things in your neck of the woods? Today is our first day off school for a couple weeks, thanks to COVID-19. The kids have a few free days and then online class work begins. *I am hoping for some serious crafting time!

This is the last of the scrapbooking I did on my birthday.
The only thing here that uses Stampin' Up! is the Whisper White card stock base, but we have banner stamps and big label things you could use if you liked this layout.

Hello again!! Today I have card number 4 for my upcoming class with one sketch! What do you think?

This card uses the Power of Hope Sale-A-Bration bundle, which is still available for just a couple more weeks. Also I turned the orientation of the card to mix things up a bit more.

Here's the third card for my upcoming class with the same sketch as the last two. (the guitar card on page 57 of the Occasions Mini)
For this card, I used the color combination from TGIF Challenges. Again, I had picked something similar and then I made it work for this specific challenge! I wanted to use this cute Sale-A-Bration greeting set, so I'm going to let people choose their own phrase to make the card their own.

Here is the second card from my upcoming class- using the same sketch, (from page 57 of the Occasions Mini) but with a totally different flair! I had picked a few bright shades to make my card, then I found a color challenge at The Paper Players that was similar, so I switched it out to make it count for the challenge!

Beautiful Moments

Look! I made cards! I actually made several, so you'll have some card inspiration for a few days, haha!

I saw an idea to do a card class where you use one sketch for every card to show how any layout will work with any supplies. Sketches ARE my favorite way to start any papercrafting project so that was definitely something I wanted to try. I used the sketch from the guitar card on page 57 of the Occasions Mini. I've got five cards using that sketch that all have a totally different feel, in my opinion.

I've really wanted to play with this new stamp set and I couldn't make up my mind which DP to use so I went ahead and used both ideas! Those who attend my class can use the side of DP they like best and color their girl however they like. Since these cards are colored, I'm putting it with the SUO Challenge of "coloring".

Team Day!

I am hoping to make some cards today, but I've been working on my son's book. I say book...the boy has 8 full albums right now, its just that it's only maaaaybe half of his life...but I doubt it's really half! So I still have pages to share right now.

Today's is a fun one, but it's a total throw back. Only the Vanilla card stock base is still around! Although I would consider the pictures recent, haha!

We lived in a townhouse complex for many years and had a group of friends who were there most of the time we were. The kids called their own little circles of friends their "team". Now that everyone has moved away (some have moved out of state), we try to get everyone together for a day in the summer. My kids look forward to this day so much!

Back to School!

This week I turned 40. I'm fine with that, haha. I totally feel "old" some days and most of the time it's just fine. But to celebrate, I decided to spend the day scrapbooking!! That's great...but I am still the mom, and I have a three year old full time, haha, so I didn't get to scrap the entire day. But I did get seven pages done and I am very happy about that! And if you recall, I'm cramming to get my son's books "done" before he graduates in a couple months. That means I have pages, not cards, to share right now.

Three of the pages I did on my birthday were back-to-school pages. Three different years of the first day of school! And I'm not done with that topic either! The pages are pretty simple but they're done and that is the point.

This page uses a Simply Sent kit which is so old I wasn't even blogging when it came out!

Finally, the DP strip and the stickers came from the local store, but it's exactly my son's school sooooo I couldn't exactly resist....

The supplies are the same for both, other than the base card stock. I got to be the photographer again which was fun, and handy! And I'm happy I got the whole thing scrapped and in his book!
I met my scrapping goal in February and I hope to exceed it in March! 

We Create Blog Hop: Swing Into Spring

Happy March! It's cold and gray here again but there has been sunshine for over a week, so spring must be on it's way!

For my project today, I created this sweet little card that I think will probably end up in someone's lunch box! I used the color challenge from the Just Add Ink blog as a starting point, and I probably thought of the swinging girl image because of the theme of our blog hop, haha! I sponged a little Petal Pink on the leaves, as well as under the whole die, because I think sometimes it seems like the whole sky is pink with blooming trees! I liked the softness Smoky Slate gave to the silhouette, instead of a bold black with these shades. Finally I added just one thread of bakers twine with a simple touch to finish it off!
