And another month has flown on by...! But this time I got a tiny bit of stamp time in, and I even blogged more than once. But just barely more than once...!
Today's projects are pretty quick but they're cute! I used the Mojo Monday sketch from last week for the design.
I wanted to play with my soon-to-be-retired things, but I also discovered I have an extremely empty display board. I do have people interested in events, which means I'm going to have to get prepared for them- and that includes having a full display board. So!
Here is my card using retiring stuff.... the stamps, the card stock and the ribbon are all but gone!
Supplies:
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic
Ink: Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder
Paper: Top Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Watermelon Wonder striped ribbon, Dimensionals
And here is my card for my display board, using all things that are sticking around another catalog year!
Supplies:
Stamps: Work of Art
Ink: So Saffron, Pear Pizazz, Melon Mambo, Memento Black
Paper: So Saffron, Pear Pizazz, Very Vanilla card stocks
I made a collage for each, and used some fun, spring colors, (sort of similar colors too!) even tho the day I stamped them we had hail and rain and two streets up from me had snowy roofs...!
Anyway, it was fun to stamp and I told my family I need to do that at least once a week, haha. We'll see how well that goes...and I wouldn't hold my breath, ha.
Now, hop along to Cheryl's blog and see what she's made for your stampy inspiration. Leave us your thoughts too- we all love hearing what you think of our work!
Then, take a half hour to yourself this coming week and see what YOU can create too!

Double In Colors
Hello again!
Today's card is much more masculine than yesterdays were- this is intended for two teenage brothers who came and helped load our moving van, and unload it at the storage unit, AND load it again! Yep, even the teenagers got a thank you card in the mail!
The design came about as an attempt to use the new Peekaboo Peach color. I have been so far removed from the stamping world of late that I had a really hard time coming up with color combos. Of course I should have remembered sooner that all the colors in a group will work together- that's how Stampin' Up! designed them! Therefore, Peekaboo Peach and Dapper Denim should, and did, work together beautifully! What do you think?
Supplies:
Stamps: Work of Art
Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky, Dapper Denim
Paper: Dapper Denim, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: In Color Enamel Shapes, Dimensionals
I do like the Enamel Shapes. They're a little more slippery than the Candy Dots were, and they stick fast as soon as they lay down, but they're working well for me so far! Can't wait to play with other shapes too, haha...I've only used circles up to this point!

Blog Hop: Simply Steppin' It Up!
Hello again! Welcome to our blog hop, which also means welcome to a new month! November is here already!!
So for today, I kept it a 100% November-y card! Leaves, and a thank you! Sounds perfect to me! I also used the latest from Freshly Made Sketches as my starting point. This is one thing I love about sketches- it makes it so easy to step it up or keep it simple!
I started by keeping it super simple, cute, sweet and totally mailable!! I just changed up the colors of the leaves and the direction they are falling!

Supplies:
Stamps: Seasonal Snapshot 2015, Work of Art
Ink: Delightful Dijon, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze
Paper: Delightful Dijon, Very Vanilla card stocks
Then to step it up, I punched the leaves out with my Hexagon punch, inked up the edges and popped them up on Dimensionals! Still all the same cute, sweet and mailable with just a touch more personality. And you could make tons of these too!

TGIF Throwdown!
Happy Friday!! My boys (husband and son) have been at scout camp all week and they come home this evening- us girls are pretty excited about that! We have missed them!
Today I tried a new-to-me challenge blog that really, is fairly new to the 'net. They started up in April and I follow some of the design team blogs so it's about time I play along! Their current Throwdown challenge appealed to me so that's where I began, and then I made this:
Supplies:
Stamps: Work of Art
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride
Paper: Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Paper Doilies, White Baker's Twine, Butterfly Thinlits, Big Shot
This challenge works like the Food Network show Chopped. So from the Throwdown "basket" I used:
Butterfly Thinlits
Work of Art stamp set
Blushing Bride ink
Blackberry Bliss ink
And from the "pantry" I used:
White card stock
White Baker's Twine
Doilies
Big Shot
Paper Cutter
Clear Blocks
The butterfly was cut out of that layer of cardstock, then all the bits punched out. I stamped the large swish from the Work of Art stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on the card base, and just kept stamping off as I went across the paper! Then I used the skinny swish to add some Blushing Bride to his body, and laid the white butterfly on top. And I love how it turned out!! What do you think?

Quick and Cute!
Since we just had Father's Day, my stash of masculine cards was diminished! I have seen this idea on Pinterest quite a lot lately so I thought I'd give it a try with some of my favorite images for masculine cards! And to keep it quick, I used last week's Freshly Made Sketch.
First up, this watery ship card! I stamped the larger swishy square in the two corners in Soft Sky, then I stamped the smallest swish in the new Mint Macaron- but I stamped that one off first! I was surprised how 'dark' it looked next to Soft Sky! Then I used a phrase from the Let's Get Away Project Life (PL) stamp set! I can't wait to put that set to more use very soon!
Supplies:
Stamps: Work of Art, The Open Sea, Let's Get Away
Ink: Memento Black, Soft Sky, Mint Macaron
Paper: Soft Sky, Mint Macaron & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Subtles Candy Dots
And how cute is that?! I loved it so much I tried again with a few more colors!
Supplies:
Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Work of Art
Ink: Early Espresso, Old Olive, Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze
Paper: Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, Whsiper White card stocks
So there you go- a fun, quick way to watercolor and add backgrounds to anything!

Messy boy, Messy page!
Hello again! Today I have the last page from my scrappy night I mentioned yesterday. This one needed it's own post, haha!
These pictures are from when my son was 5. I was in the house, packing all four of us for a weekend trip with my parents and family, planning to leave as soon as my husband got home from work. My friend was out back keeping an eye on our kids. She came to the door, with him, totally mortified at what my son had done... He was BLUE. He had colored all over himself with chalk and rubbed it in reeeally well. His hair, cheeks, nose, forehead, chin, arms, hands, feet and clothes were covered! And the dust reminded me of Pig-Pen from Peanuts! It was absolutely one of those times when I had to laugh to keep from crying! And before I made him get in the tub I took these pics, hahaha...
My very favorite part? Click on the pic to make it bigger and check out my daughter's face- she cannot believe he did that either! hahahaaa!! And yes, he's showing off the bottoms of his feet which were also totally blue...
I used THIS sketch, and tipped it sideways for this page. And since the photos are messy, I felt getting the whole page good and grunged up was a good way to coordinate them!
Supplies:
Stamps: Skinny Mini ABC, Gorgeous Grunge, Work of Art
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Coastal Cabana, Soft Sky
Paper: Soft Sky, Very Vanilla, Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie card stocks, Sweet Taffy DP
Accessories: Big Shot, Stars Framelits
What have your kids done that made you laugh and cry at the same time? Have you scrapped any of those moments? This is not this child's first page like this...............! KIDS! hahaha....
What is retiring from today's project?

Scrapping a Picnic!
Sooo aside from my stamp blog and my food blog, I have a private family blog where I record pretty much everything. This is super handy for scrapping because I can just check dates and details... The photos I scrapped for today were taken before I started blogging....and I have been blogging since 2008... Yep, it was definitely time to get these done. And now I don't have dates and details! I am fairly certain I know which town we stopped in for this picnic, and I definitely know the trip so I can ball park the month but beyond that...uh.... hahaha!
I used the current challenge board from 123 Get Scrappy (Earth tone background, Zig Zag, Torn Corner), and plenty of retiring product to make this page.
Supplies:
Stamps: Truly Grateful, Work of Art, Skinny Mini ABC
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake
Paper: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Whisper White card stocks, Sweet Taffy DP
Accessories: Natural Chevron Ribbon, Dimensionals, stapler

Today's card was one that was thrown together as soon as I decided to do a Valentine class rather than a typical workshop! *grin It is very simple but still fun, happy and I think perfect for Valentines! We used two ink pads, and just stamped off on our scratch paper to get the paler shades of pink!
Supplies:
Stamps: Work of Art
Ink: Melon Mambo, Basic Gray
Paper: Melon Mambo, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Melon Mambo taffeta ribbon

Pink Sparkly Butterfly!
Yes, I'm posting on a Saturday thanks to my nearly vanished week, haha! And yep, this is one of those weeks I am glad to see come to an end!
Today my daughter went to a birthday party for a girl I don't know well. Her gift was a kit to make a pink necklace, so I thought a card like this would be about perfect, haha! I also used the current Nacho Average Challenge sketch for the design.
Supplies:
Stamps: Work of Art
Ink: Melon Mambo, Basic Gray
Paper: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer DP
Accessories: Butterflies Framelits, Big Shot, Hexagon Punch, Dimensionals
...I always think I have the Silver Glimmer paper, but when I pulled it out its clearly gold, haha...I'd already done all the stamping, so then I wasn't sure if it was going to work together, as nicely as it did in my head. I asked my daughter's opinion and she approved, so a gold butterfly it is!

Scrapbook Demonstration!
Oh for goodness sake! All those days with nothing posted....I could have posted this page I demo'd at my workshop in June! oh well....that's what you get today! *grin
I started by wanting to use the Work of Art stamp set in a flag design. I've seen soooo many variations of it on Pinterest and I love it! I don't really have a use for patriotic cards but I can definitely put it in a scrapbook! I chose to stamp the rectangly piece in Pacific Point and then heat emboss a white heart on it, and use the chevron piece for the stripes. Then I had to look for printed photos that worked with a flag! These shots of my son in his Bear Cub Scout uniform fit well, I thought!
Supplies:
Stamps: Work of Art, Skinny Mini Alphabet
Ink: Pacific Point, Real Red, Versamark
Paper: Real Red, Pacific Point & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: White embossing powder, Heat Tool
Also, I got to use a brand new alphabet stamp set that I just have to rave about! First of all- the worst part of alphabet stamp sets is the assembling. It is just so tedious putting together 26+ stamps! Guess what? This one is photopolymer and! is ready to go as soon as it shows up at your door!!! YEAY!!
Also, since its completely clear, you can line up stamps and make a word!! Sweet!!! You can fiddle with each letter to get them as straight as you want and just flip the block over to check. I love it! Alphabet sets always get a lot of use at my house but I think these will become my go-to letters!
What do you think? Have you tried any photopolymer stamp sets? This is a great place to start!!

A different idea...
Remember the gorgeous Watercolor Wonder DP from the Occasions Mini that made THESE cards? That is what inspired me to create these next cards.

Then I used the same flower punch (and the current Viva La Verve sketch) and made this card...
and I used the butterfly punch (and last week's Retro Sketch) to make this card!
And I have tons of paper left to punch more watercolored images out with!

CAS Work of Art Set!
So the other day, I got to stamp a whole bunch of cards! This ended up kind of a set...I liked this Clean & Simple sketch a lot and I wanted to try different color combos, so the cards are identical except for colors.

This was the first one I made- mostly becuase I had the Melon Mambo ribbon!
Supplies:
Stamps: Work of Art
Ink: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray
Paper: Daffodil Delight & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Melon Mambo Taffeta Ribbon
This card has a totally different feel with the soft, monochromatic colors:
Ink: Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana, Soft Sky, Basic Gray
Paper: Coastal Cabana & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Soft Sky seam binding ribbon
And here is a more masculine version:
Supplies:
Stamps: Work of Art
Ink: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Hello Honey & Basic Gray
Paper: Old Olive & Whisper White card stock
Which one is your favorite? *grin
