Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to you!
Today I have kind of a bonus post. My little one found our cookie cutters this summer and wanted to make Halloween cut out cookies ever since. We finally did it this week and since that makes a TON of cookies we shared some with neighbors too! I {almost} never make tags but I have a lot of Paper Pumpkin Halloween supplies that are kind of perfect for tag making so I used some up to make these plates even cuter!

The tags used two different kits, Sept 2014 and Sept 2016, and the pumpkin tags used the Holiday Home stamp set which was released in 2014 for the little jack o'lantern faces...which you can hardly see! I layered them onto Old Olive rectangles and then just taped that onto the cookie plates!

And finally, here's my cute Little Red Riding Hood who got to dress up for her preschool party this week!

More Halloween!

Happy Friday!
I had a few more Halloween cards I mailed out, but I wanted to wait til they were in the mail before I posted.
These were so quick to throw together once I got going! I chose the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I just used one pack of old paper, two sheets in fact, and a few old words!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sept 2014 Paper Pumpkin Kit
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive card stock, Halloween Night DP (retired)
Supplies:
Stamps: Wonderfully Wicked (retired)
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Pumpkin Pie card stock, Halloween Night DP (retired)

October's Paper Pumpkin

Happy Friday!
It is a lot colder here now than it was Wednesday, like, 25*+ colder.  That's okay, because the Paper Pumpkin kit that arrived earlier this week is all about Christmas!
I started by making the cards exactly as they are designed.
and a close up....

Then, I made this one with a different greeting, and no twine. I didn't pick "one little word" this year, but in the last few weeks I've been trying to focus on JOY as my personal theme, sooo this was a perfect match, haha!
And the last one I made that day is this card to send to my German friend! The die cuts come in English, French and German which is fun, or in my case, actually useful!
There are four more card bases/supplies, but there's always a bit left over and I'm excited to keep playing!
Honestly I was super excited I got to make so many things this week, after so many weeks of nothing! Have you made anything this week? Stick it in the mail and send someone a paper hug!

Sugary Holiday!

Today I have a two-fer, because I couldn't pick which plaid DP to use! I love them all! haha!
I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps, and I used the cookies from the Paper Players challenge! And for a little bonus touch to these cards, can you see that I used the Subtle embossing folder on the plaid?? I have liked that folder ever since it was released and when I ordered this plaid DP I figured I couldn't wait any longer- it needed to look like fabric!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Nothing's Better Than, Itty Bitty Christmas
Ink: Memento Black, Bumblebee, Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry & Crumb Cake card stock, Plaid Tidings DP
Accessories: Bumblebee Ribbon, Love You More Than dies, Subtle Embossing Folder, Glue Dots
Supplies:
Stamps: Nothing's Better Than, Itty Bitty Christmas
Ink: Memento Black, Seaside Spray, Pretty Peacock
Paper: Whisper White, Seaside Spray & Crumb Cake card stock, Plaid Tidings DP
Accessories: Seaside Spray metallic Ribbon, Love You More Than dies, Subtle Embossing Folder, Glue Dots

Which color combo do you like best? Either way, they look cozy to me! It' supposed to freeze this weekend and some areas nearby should get snow. We are looking forward to hot chocolate weather, that's for sure!

Thinking Of You

This is a very simple card but I really kind of love it. I had seen something the other day that made me want to try a soft brown, dark blue and vanilla card and then the CAS Colour challenge is pretty much exactly that! I used the colors and then just this one flower image falling across the card because I don't have a current leaf stamp, haha! Then just a simple greeting and it's good!

Supplies:
Stamps: Field of Flowers
Ink: Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake
Paper: Very Vanilla & Misty Moonlight card stocks

A Retired Halloween!

I don't typically make very many Halloween cards unless I'm helping my mom. She has about 40-too-many things going on right now but she has two aunts that could seriously use some Halloween cheer. Neither ever married, one has stayed home much of the Covid year and the other is in a rest home, and we know she's not getting any visitors of any kind. So, I had my little one color some halloweeny pictures of her choice and I made a card to send both of them! Their sister, my grandmother, is why my mom sends Halloween cards in the first place!

I didn't buy any of the new Halloween things, and I don't have anything current at all to use, so how handy was it that the Retro Rubber Challenge was to do black, orange and white when I had to use long-retired stamps to make my cards? haha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Sparkly Seasons, Happy Scenes (both retired, both released in 2015)
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Peach Parfait (retired)
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie card stocks
Accessories: Dimensionals, Seasonal Frames Dies (retired)

This second card still works perfectly with the Retro Rubber Challenge, but it also uses the photo inspiration from Inkspirational Challenges, with the trees and the witch. This time I used a witch hat from the Paper Pumpkin kit that came in Sept 2016.
Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Scenes (released in 2015), Paper Pumpkin 2016 (both retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Whisper White, Basick Black & Pumpkin Pie card stocks
Accessories: Watercolor Pencils, Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin Blend Marker

And they're going in the mail today!

A Birthday Card!

It feels like it's been forever since I stamped anything! I really needed a guy birthday card so this is what I put together. It was pretty simple, but I find that best when I'm "coming back to stamping", haha!
I used the sketch from TGIF Challenges, and it also goes for the SUO Challenge to make a birthday card! And it's going out in the mail today too!
Supplies:
Stamps: A Good Man
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Paper: Mango Melody & Whisper White card stocks, Plaid Tidings DP
Accessories: Linen Thread, Dimensionals

We Create Bloggers: You Go, Ghoul!

October is here! The holidays are upon us and I spent the morning decorating for Halloween because the neighbors already did and my little one can't wait another minute!
For our blog hop today we tried to go with Halloween or Harvest as a theme for our projects. I don't have a lot of current supplies with either topic but I do love the changing leaves of this season so that is what I went with. I am really hoping to get up into a canyon soon!

So for my card, I used the Color Throwdown challenge, and combined it with the Inspire. Create. sketch, and I even made it work (I think!) with the TGIF Challenge to ink blend! ...altho I watercolored, more than "blended"...

I used a watercolor brush that came in a Paper Pumpkin kit to add the colored leaves to the trees. I also used that shadow image, stamped off, which I don't often do. I like it tho!! Also, that plaid!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Winter Woods
Ink: Stazon Black, Cherry Cobbler, Rich Razzleberry, Cinnamon Cider
Paper: Very Vanilla card stocks, Plaid Tidings DP
Accessories: Natural Ribbon, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Watercolor Brush
