One Amazing CASE!

CASE means CopyAndShareEverything ...and a couple other things that are similar. This card is darn close to case'd from a tutorial Beate did on Splitcoast. I tried to change up the images (tho I used the same set!) and follow Jen's sketch instead of Beate's exact card. Plus, Beate would never stamp a greeting crooked! haha! I didn't notice that til everything was glued down. ...sigh.... O well, its still purty! And yes, it uses the Blurred Vision Watercolor technique! Super easy, but I think it would look better in something besides yellow.... Supplies: Stamps: Pretty Amazing, Fresh Cuts ~ Ink: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Real Red ~ Paper: Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Whisper White ~ Accessories: Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 inch circle punch, Blender Pens

Autumn Colors

I had a few minutes today so I put this card together. I wanted to play with my Tangerine Tango ink since its the only new color I have yet.

The base is Tangerine and I stamped the flower trio across the bottom in Tangerine ink. I have a strip of Chocolate Chip and then So Saffron crossing the other way. I stamped the vine with Chocolate Chip ink to make it more like a branch. The butterflies are stamped in Tangerine ink onto So Saffron card stock and cut out. Then I just stamped the word in Chocolate ink. Fun and simple and perfect for Autumn!

I've been perusing the new catalog every spare second I can find and have come up with some fun workshop plans and some upcoming classes. I am really excited! With school starting back up I'll be able to offer classes in the mornings again, so that will work better for some of you.

Purple & Green!

Wow... I am surrendering to the need to cut things out! Who'd have ever seen that one coming??
This basically comes from Lauren's Saturday sketch, but it's also a little bit from Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge for Purple Flowers! When I checked the sketch, I had a pinky kind of card in my head but when I went to select a shade, I picked Elegant Eggplant instead. I LOVE this color and I don't use it very much... I added Pale Plum and Certainly Celery as my accent colors on this card, and then chose Very Vanilla instead of Whisper White. I wanted to use a roundish image cut out for that top corner and I've never used this particular flower before (I don't think, anyway!). So it's popped up, on a whole bunch of dimensional edges, so it won't get squashed down! I also have some Celery brads and Celery ribbon, and this butterfly's wings are cut out and popped up on dimensionals as well! Here's a different view for detail:

Challenges!

Two posts in one day! That's because kwerner's color challenge #15 is due in 25 minutes! Since I'm participating on time, I should post it on time, right? She challenged us to use Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. I got them all in there!

I also used the OCC sketch from Saturday for the layout! So, I have my Close to Cocoa card stock base, and I stamped the Canvas background on it with Chocolate Chip ink. Next is the layer of Really Rust card stock and I stamped the flowers from Pretty Amazing in Rust ink on that. Then a super thin layer of Certainly Celery card stock beneath the white, which is stamped with the vines and Celery ink. I cut out the two Rust butterflies (...because I didn't get enough cutting in last night?) and tied on some Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon! And I'm posting just in time!

Stamped Candles

Things have been really busy around here, so stamping and blogging has been moved to the "to-do-later" list. But here are two candles I made to sell at a booth I had yesterday. The first one uses an old stamp set called Garden Collage. I just stamped the whole thing in Close to Cocoa ink and colored the bird with the Bashful Blue marker.

This second one uses Pretty Amazing. I love that set! I stamped the leafy image in Mellow Moss ink and the butterfly in Cameo Coral ink. I like doing these candles because they are fast and easy and always look so nice.

I missed several sketches and challenges so hopefully tomorrow I'll get some time to stamp!

"Pretty Amazing"

This set is fabulous! My mom just got it and I got to play with it this weekend! These are two more cards for her to take next summer, so there aren't greetings on them. I used Close to Cocoa for the base of the card, then a piece of Cameo Coral, which I put in different spots on the cards. I stamped the butterflies in Coral on Whisper White and cut them out. The floral branch is stamped in Close to Cocoa. I think they turned out simply pretty.
