Braces Off!

Here's another fun layout. This one was a CASE of a page on Splitcoaststampers.com, which is where I'm part of a scrapbooking group. You can see the original page HERE. The inspiration page was digital and I used paper supplies, so I did things a little bit differently. I think it followed her idea tho, and either way, it's perfect for my son!
Supplies:
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Capture the Good
Ink: Crushed Curry, So Saffron, Dapper Denim
Paper: Sarah DP, So Saffron, Dapper Denim card stock

Llamas at the Library!

Another day, another layout!
We are big fans of the library. We visit at least every other week, but sometimes more often than that. And we go to a lot of library activities. I usually plan to scrap it, tho I haven't gotten all of them done. This was a crazy library event, ha. It was based off the book "Llama Llama Red Pajama" so it was a pj party. They scheduled llamas to come from a local Krishna temple so the kids could see them up close. Then they brought the llamas inside!! What?! haha!!
Fortunately, I have some (long retired) llama "themed" DP, ha! (it's really llama looking piƱatas with fiesta images) I didn't buy the coordinating stamp set, but I think the paper worked just fine.
Supplies:
Paper: Emerald Envy card stock (retired), Festive Birthday DP (retired)
Accessories: Alphabet a la Mode Dies, 2023-25 In Color Dots (retired), big shot (retired)
Journaling Font: Alasassy Caps.

This is how I did the title:
What are you making this summer?

June Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Happy Monday to you! Hoping to have a few things to post this coming week...!

This Paper Pumpkin kit came in spite of me planning to skip it... However, it IS cute, and I whipped these two up to give my aunt, to send to her sister (yes, a different aunt, lol). My cards are not the way it was planned, (typical, ha!) but they use the same supplies for each card.

I do really like these new In Colors, which is what they featured in this kit. And the fruit is cute too. The words are sparkly, I just am not sure what I'll use the Congrats cards for, which is the third design. That's one thing I've really determined lately, going thru my box of stash- I'm tired of making cards I am never going to use, lol. And other than an occasional graduation, I really don't use "congrats!". Do you?

Backyard Campout!

 I forgot to hit publish!
~~~
Happy Saturday! Man, summer is busy!!
Today I have a page I put together last month. This campout was a big request last summer, so my youngest and I slept out back! I "made my own DP" by randomly stamping the very-long-retired camping images on paper. If I didn't get this stamp set with my starter kit, it was the next thing I ordered, ha.
Supplies:
Stamps: Roughing It, Alphabest
Ink: Real Red, Gray Granite, Pebbled Path, Pecan Pie, Blueberry Bushel, Memento Black
Paper: Bumblebee, Basic White card stocks
Journaling Font: Artistamp Medium
Here's a close up of the stamping if you're curious.
Cards for a Kid
When I first started with Stampin' Up! my oldest was not yet one. Back when we had "classic ink pads" that were stacks of linen, and the stamps were on wood blocks, I let my little kids stamp. They made cards for grandparents and each other and sometimes friends... And then about the time we switched to the rubber with the labels that didn't stick to the stamp or the block, they lost interest. That was fine with me. I felt like it was more tricky with the clear mount stamps and switching them out onto clear blocks and keeping track of them all.
This means I have really not let my youngest ever stamp! Even tho when she was born, the stamps were much more tacky and less inclined to fall off and away, ha. I don't remember if she started asking for a personal card class last summer or if it was during the school year, but! Today was the day!! She has pulled out stacks of "favorite ink colors" a handful of times, so today I told her to choose ten colors. I got the card stocks for them and we dragged it all to the kitchen table. I did ask what kind of cards she wanted to make, and she wanted to keep them for herself, so we did card fronts (with her approval), and I made them up on the fly! ha!
First she wanted to use butterflies. This retired set is on wood blocks. We used the matching inks with the card stock, which she was amazed was a thing, haha. Her card is shown first on this set, and she wanted to add the sunshine behind the strips.
Supplies:
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic (retired)
Ink: Tahitain Tide (retired), Gorgeous Grape, Bubble Bath, Cucumber Crush (retired)
Paper: Basic White, Tahitain Tide (retired), Gorgeous Grape, Bubble Bath card stocks
This one I thought we'd tear some card stock for the top, and I probably will for mine, (the second one) but she loved this layered look. At first she thought it was going to be "way too complicated" but she was pleasantly surprised.
Supplies:
Stamps: March 2024 Paper Pumpkin bonus stamp
Ink: Memento Black, Melon Mambo, Sweet Sorbet (retired), Emerald Envy (retired), Daffodil Delight
Paper: Basic White card stock
Finally, I suggested this new-to-me set because I thought she'd enjoy the rainbows. She definitely did, and she said that "even tho rainbows don't have brown, Cinnamon Cider just needed to go with this!" So it did! This time hers is the second card...
The other thing that made me laugh is that this girl is all about texture in most aspects of her life. You should have seen the side eye she gave when I showed her how to tear the edge. And then I had the nerve to just leave it torn?! Ugh. She "likes her art to be neat." hahaha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Happiest Day
Ink: Cinnamon Cider, Melon Mambo, Bubble Bath, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Basic White, Daffodil Delight card stocks
And the very proud little card maker!
We just might do this another hot summer day...!
