Christmas Shepherd

Good morning! I think today I have my first Christmas card this year! I ordered this set several weeks ago and haven't gotten to use it til now. There are other sets I want, but I snagged this one first. It's so quick and simple to make a beautiful card with!
Once again I used a color challenge from Splitcoaststampers.com.
Supplies:
Stamps: Shepherd's Care
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Pool Party
Paper: Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock, Basic White
Accessories: Tinsel Gems Three Pack

Trick or Treat!

A bonus weekend post for you!
This time I combined the SUO Challenge for "tricks or treats" with the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments.
I pulled out a long retired greeting set because its just SO perfect, lol. Annnd I think this card is a bit too busy for me, lol, which is why I added the layer of Pecan Pie. But that's okay, I'm going to send it to someone and then it doesn't matter what I think. hahaha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Kiddin' Around, Good Greetings (retired)
Ink: Memento Black
Stampin Blends: Bronze, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light & Dark Night of Navy, Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie, Ivory, Light Flirty Flamingo, Color Lifter
Paper: Basic White, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie & Pecan Pie card stock, Full of Life DP
Accessories: Dimensionals

Pumpkin Patch

Good morning!
I really love how today's card turned out! I combined the Freshly Made Sketch with the Color Throwdown (altho I used two shades of orange) and this is the fun, festive result! It also fits the TGIF Challenge, because this is about as Halloweeny as I'm going to get this year. The card is quick and cute and that's my favorite kind anyway!
Supplies:
Stamps: Scenic Pumpkin Patch, Simply Said
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Peach Pie, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige
Paper: Peach Pie & Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: 2024-2026 Resin Dots

Then I decided to make a slightly different version, that we'll do at my upcoming card class!
Supplies:
Stamps: Scenic Pumpkin Patch, Simply Said
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Peach Pie, Basic Beige, Lemon Lime Twist
Paper: Pumpkin Pie & Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots

Thank you or Christmas?

So, I have a card class this week, and since it's still "only" October, I did more of a thank you theme. I do have one Christmas card and then this one has the option of being whatever they need more of right now!

This time I used the prompt from The Paper Players to make a tag, but I do not ever use tags so I stuck it on a card, haha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Evergreens, Oct 2024 Paper Pumpkin / Simply Said
Ink: Old Olive, Real Red/Copper Clay
Paper: Basic White, Old Olive card stocks
Accessories: Iridescent Striped Trim, Exposed Brick embossing folder, Dimensionals, big shot, stapler

The line of trees is a little hard to see behind the tag, but I still think it adds something.

I think it also shows a bit of versatility in these pines- it doesn't just have to be a wintery, Christmas card.

But I'll show you something... I was struggling to decide which color I wanted to use for this class vs next month's class (because of COURSE we will use this stamp set for a Christmas card class!) so I decided to test it out. I "tested" it with all the greens, blues, grays and browns I own, plus some purples! I like a LOT of the results and I might like more if I used the right supplies, haha..... I think I need to play with this tree set more than I usually get to play with a single set! It's gonna be FUN.

Autumn Wreath!

Another day, another leaf, haha!
This time I used another color challenge from Splitcoaststampers.com. Honestly, I haven't had a lot of luck with their color combinations, but I used a few this week!
I am definitely using this for my upcoming card class! I love the pop of blue here!
Supplies:
Stamps: Encircled In Nature
Ink: Cajun Craze
Paper: Crushed Curry, Basic White, Coastal Cabana card stocks
Accessories: Earth Tones Shimmer Gems, Encircled In Nature Dies, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, big shot

Just a tip for you- I add glue dots to the wider part of the dies, so in this case, on the leaves, and on the sticks in the wider sections where they branch off. You can see the part I hadn't peeled off below, and if you reeeally look closely, you might see the other one on the third leaf from the top. I only used two per die on this card and it will stay just fine.
You can also use glue dots when the adhesive just won't stick to the dot embellishments we have so many of right now. That happens sometimes...

Leafy Thanks

Hello! Today I have a simple autumny card for you!
I used the sketch from Inspire.Create.Challenges, along with a color challenge from Splitcoaststampers.com.

And I think this is going to be part of my next card class!

Stamps: Spotlight On Nature
Ink: Poppy Parade, Night of Navy
Paper: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla & Wild Wheat card stocks

Wood Flowers

Today's thank you card uses this wood DP and this flower, which I have combined before. This time I focused on that blue chippy paper. I used the latest SUO Challenge, and CASED the red package actually... on the top right. But I made mine a card.
Supplies:
Stamps: Spotlight On Nature, Simply Said
Ink: Pool Party, Wild Wheat
Paper: Basic White card stock, Country Woods DP
Accessories: White Baker's Twine, Brass Butterflies, Dimensionals

Butterfly Birthday

Today's quick and simple card uses the latest sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches. I cut out the strip separating the corner, and added a bit of ribbon in there too.
Supplies:
Stamps: Butterfly Basics (retired), Places You'll Go (retired)
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Blackberry Bliss
Paper: Basic White, Gorgeous Grape card stocks
Accessories: Gingham Ribbon (retired)

Pines at Sunset

I really need more thank you cards, so today I combined the colors from The Paper Players with the sketch from TGIF Challenges. It is also a perfect match for the Just Add Ink challenge since I used trees and ink blending!

I ended up doing the rectangles too tall to fit a standard card, so I made a slimline card- maybe for the first time? I really don't like non-standard size cards because I don't know how to cut the cardstock without wasting too much... But I'd already stamped and blended this bit so thaaat's what I had to do! haha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Evergreens, Layers of Beauty
Ink: Early Espresso, Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Copper Clay
Paper: Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Earth Tones Shimmer Gems

Cactus Scrapbooking

Happy Thursday! Still hot here.... soooo wishing for autumn to arrive on the tenth of October....! But we have Halloween decorations up now, so that much can feel like autumn.

Anyway, I have a scrapbook layout for you today. These photos are several years old, so it was way past time to get them scrapped. This is the last time we went to my grandparents house, it was the trip for my grandmother's funeral. And then her kids went thru all the things and that was that. My grandparents lived in Arizona so these retired cactus stamps were absolutely required. I just fussy cut them all out and layered them on the page.

Supplies:
Stamps: Flowering Desert (retired), Desert Details (retired)
Ink: Pebbled Path, Mossy Meadow, Garden Green, Peach Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Parakeet Party(retired), Cucumber Crush(retired), Soft Succulent (retired)
Paper: Parakeet Party (retired), Peach Pie card stocks
Journaling Font: Garamond

I "need" to print hundreds of photos, because we just keep living life and doing things, but I also still have hundreds of photos printed from years ago for my older kids... And since I was in a scrapping mood, that's what I worked on. I did a few pages for my son and then discovered all of his books are full and his shelf is stuffed. Annnnd then after just setting the pages in one of his books to keep them flat and safe....his shelf collapsed. super. haha..... Guess what I'm asking for for Christmas?
If you're curious, my girls share the bottom shelf, altho my youngest's current album is the sideways one at the top of this photo....
and my son has the collapsed shelf all to himself.

Yeay scrapbooking!!

Autumn Leaves!

I have not yet made it up to the mountains, where the leaves are usually much more colorful, and I am totally disappointed about that. I'm afraid I have missed our teeny window of color... There are trees around me, but for some reason the trees in our park strip tend to stay green and fall off in a heavy snow storm... weird.
But today my card is full of colorful leaves! This is for the latest SUO Challenge (rats! I'm too late for this one too!) and the colors are all pulled from their inspiration photo. Like I actually held my ink pads up to the photo to pick the right shades. HA.
Supplies:
Stamps: Spotlight on Nature
Ink: Petunia Pop, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Lost Lagoon, Crushed Curry
Paper: Cajun Craze, Basic White
Accessories: Linen Thread, Dimensionals

Pastel Autumn!

Happy Monday once again! So many things going on in my world right now! (too much actually, white flag is up!) But I am in need of some thank yous so here I go!

Today's card combined the Color Throwdown with the latest Freshly Made Sketch, and the theme for Inspire.Create.Challenges to do something for Autumn! Altho I just missed the deadline for FMS... I think it's fun and something a little different.
Supplies:
Stamps: Simply Said
Ink: Lemon Lolly, Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Basic White, Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie
Accessories: 2024-26 In Color Dots, Encircled in Nature dies, Glue Dots, Blending Brush, Stampin' Sponge (retired), big shot (retired)

I used a Blending Brush to ink up the rectangle shape, and I used a retired Stampin' Sponge to add Peach Pie ink to the Peach Pie leaves.

100 Years!!!

In just a couple of weeks, my father in law turns 100. Really, really. I shared about his 90th birthday celebration HERE, and there will be a celebration once again.

I had discussed an idea with my husband and selected the paper and stamps I wanted to use to make him a birthday card, but hadn't sat down and done it. Then I saw the Color Throwdown colors and knew that was a match, so I got to work! Ordinarily, I probably wouldn't call Copper Clay a shade of red, but on the top strip of DP I think that looks red, so that makes it fit! These were the DP sheets I had planned to include!

The stamps and dies are long retired, but the DP is in this catalog, haha... We do have current number dies (which I own, but they were too small for this design), and a current airplane stamp available, but this is what I used.
Supplies:
Stamps: Sky Is the Limit (retired)
Ink: Copper Clay
Paper: Boho Blue, Night of Navy & Basic White card stocks, Take to the Sky DP
Accessories: 2023-25 In Color Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Large Numbers Framelits Dies (retired), big shot (retired)
Font: Courier New

I actually stacked three sets of the 1-0-0 to make it bolder. The plane is popped up on Dimensionals, and the banner the plane is pulling was typed on the computer. I put a lot of time and thought into this card and got a couple other opinions too, ha. My FIL will simply love the thought, but I think the pressure was on because I've never made a 100th birthday card before! Have you?

Pink Pumpkins!

Happy Friday! I hope your day is better than mine.... I get to have some dental work done which I am dreading. Maybe that's an understatement.....

Anyway! Today's card combines the latest Festive Friday challenge (pink, brown, cream and ribbon) with the latest SCS Sketch Challenge. I'm not actually loving how the wreath turned out, stamped in layers, but it works and it's another needed Thank You on it's way to the mailbox!
Supplies:
Stamps: Encircled In Nature, Scenic Pumpkin Patch, Simply Said
Ink: Crumb Cake, Bubble Bath
Paper: Bubble Bath, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Iridescent Striped Trim, Iridescent Foil Gems

Colorful Forest

This is from the Inspire.Create.Challenges to CASE the designer. CASE in today's case, means "Copy And Selectively Edit". I used the sketch, but altered the angles, and I used the same colors for the trees, and changed the greeting. I could have die-cut them, but I wanted to stamp it instead. But you can definitely see the inspiration.

Supplies:
Stamps: Encircled In Nature, Beside Me
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil delight, Soft Seafoam, Fresh Freesia
Paper: Basic White & Misty Moonlight card stock, Country Woods DP
Accessories: Tinsel Gems Three Pack, Dimensionals, Circle Dies (retired), big shot (retired)

All the pinks!

Today's card ended up more chaotic than I expected, but it will work for the birthday girl, haha.

This one uses the sketch from The Paper Players and a whoooole lotta DP prints, lol. Three of them, in fact. I liked the strip that looks like a paint palette with this little artist, and I liked the watercolory-looking sheets too. But it's kind of a lot...!
Supplies:
Stamps: Kiddin' Around
Ink: Memento Black
Stampin' Blends: Dark & Light Flirty Flamingo, Dark & Light Granny Apple Green, Light Petal Pink, Bronze, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Melon Mambo
Paper: Basic White card stock, Full of Life DP
Accessories: Dimensionals, Kiddin' Around Dies, big shot

Flower Die Cut

Hello! I am so excited for autumn! It started to cool off, and then it forgot to be autumn and should be around 90 most of this week. Rude. But the mountains are turning red and yellow so that's happy!

Today's card uses the sketch from CAS Colours and Sketches, along with the theme (wellll more the colors from the graphic...) from TGIF Challenges. It sort of looks like I took the sketch more literally, but really, I just stamped on a scrap rectangle, and then die cut the flowers out of that. Then I colored it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Layers of Beauty, Beside Me
Ink: Memento Black, Pecan Pie
Stampin' Blends: Dark & Light Pumpkin Pie, Dark and Light Old Olive, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Balmy Blue
Paper: Basic White, Pecan Pie card stocks
Accessories: Iridescent Striped Trim, Iridescent Foil Gems, Dimensionals, Layers of Beauty Dies, big shot

Friendship Flower

Happy Monday! Ready for a new week?

Today I have a fun and quick card. I chose two of the newest In Colors for this idea. After I glued it down I remembered I had these in a set of three markers I got on my 12th birthday (plus pink), and now all I can see is the early 90's..... hahaha! It's fiiiiine, I'll just send the card to the friend who gave me the markers, ha! She won't remember, but if she sees this, she'll laugh too.
Supplies:
Stamps: Cheerful Daisies
Ink: Summer Splash, Petunia Pop
Paper: Summer Splash, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Cheerful Daisies dies, Dimensionals, big shot

Thanks Pumpkin!

Happy Friday! We made it, again! Yeay!

Today I have a three-fer! I used the sketch from As You See It, with the colors from Color Throwdown and the theme from Hand Stamped Sentiments! And I really like the result!
Supplies:
Stamps: Scenic Pumpkin Patch, Simply Said
Ink: Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow
Paper: Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze card stocks
Accessories: Dimensionals, Vintage Crochet Trim (Retired 2017?) 1 3/8 Circle Punch (retired)

That strip of Cajun Craze card stock was in my scraps, already torn, so that's why it doesn't go the full length of the card. And that is why I keep scraps! ha! But it still fits the sketch beautifully!

Bold Birthday!

Today's card combines two challenges and I think the result is happy and fun and perfect for someone's birthday next year, ha!
I used the sketch from TGIF Challenges and the One Stamp challenge from SUO Challenges. I think it's a perfect match. Simple, but not subtle.
Supplies:
Stamps: Simply Said
Ink: Petunia Pop
Paper: Petunia Pop & Basic White card stocks, Unbounded Beauty DP
Accessories: Dimensionals

What are you making today?

Sunny Flowers!

They're not exactly sunflowers in this case, they're way too bright, haha. But I really like how today's card worked out! And what a perfect greeting for this one!
This is the final card in my upcoming class.
Supplies:
Stamps: Cheerful Daisies
Ink: Lemon Lolly, Night of Navy
Paper: Lemon Lolly, Basic White card stocks, Take To The Sky DP
Accessories: Iridescent Foil Gems, Dimensionals, Cheerful Daisies dies, big shot

The strip of DP comes from the airplane set, but I think it works beautifully with these flowers, don't you? Look at your supplies a little differently and see what you've got!

Trains!

To say that my son has been obsessed with trains his entire life is a gross understatement. My youngest tends to like a lot of the same things he likes and we have seen a lot. of trains. in our time, ha. As soon as I saw this train stamp, I wanted it, but I think between my mom and I, we own every single train Stampin' Up! has released in the 20 years I've been a demonstrator...and there is a similar one to this particular train. So similar in fact, that I pulled out my old train stamps to compare, and my son told me not to worry about it, ha! Buuuut...... I really kind of love it..... sooo here it is! Ready for classes! HA. And lots of scrapbooking!!

Anyway, my first card today comes from the latest Color Throwdown. This is the one we'll make at my upcoming class. The colors are slightly Christmasy on my card but I think also autumnal and that's what I'm going for right now.
Supplies:
Stamps: Greatest Adventure
Ink: Copper Clay
Paper: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Transparent Adhesive Dots

This second card uses the already ended TGIF Challenge colors. But I like the pop of Berry Burst with the train. I thought I had Berry dots, but I guess not...so I used these clear ones instead.
Supplies:
Stamps: Greatest Adventure
Ink: Night of Navy, Berry Burst
Paper: Crumb Cake, Berry Burst, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Transparent Adhesive Dots

Coral Flowers

We made it to Friday! But I have a packed weekend coming up so it isn't a break, haha....

I've got another card for my upcoming class. Simple but pretty.
And this one totally fits the latest challenge from Inspire.Create.Challenges- to make something "floral"!
Supplies:
Stamps: Spotlight on Nature
Ink: Calypso Coral, Wild Wheat
Paper: Calypso Coral, Basic White card stocks, Country Woods DP
Accessories: Brass Butterflies

This was the one I actually designed first. I like the idea, but this particular stamp is too thin of a line image to work on this wood grain DP. And, the Stampin' Spots didn't work out as nicely as I'd hoped and these classes are not about teaching, they're about getting their five cards done, ha, so I decided against it for now.
Supplies:
Stamps: Spotlight on Nature
Ink: Calypso Coral, Garden Green
Paper: Calypso Coral, Country Woods DP
Accessories: Brass Butterflies

Class Time!

With school back in session, I have been looking forward to holding card classes again. I missed out this spring... I got sick for a month and then life was just way too busy to fit in classes! But now it is time! (altho life is still really. busy!) That means I spent some time putting cards together, and thank goodness for challenges to kick my creativity into gear!

This card is really simple, but I find my people like to come, get it done, and get on with life, ha, so this is perfect. I used the color challenge from CAS Colours & Sketches, and I love the rich shades they suggested. Altho they're a bit too dark in this photo, to really tell.
Supplies:
Stamps: Encircled In Nature
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss & Misty Moonlight
Paper: Basic White, Mossy Meadow card stocks
Accessories: Tinsel Gems Three Pack, Encircled In Nature Dies, Dimensionals, big shot

Fireflies!

Happy Friday!

Fireflies are not common in my area at. all. I had been told they don't live here, and I absolutely believed it until about three years ago when I heard they were at a small nearby lake... I saw some as a kid, when my family took a vacation to Illinois, but not here. Not ever.

My husband's co-worker owns a farm about 20 mins from our home and she has fireflies in her field! So she does little tours and asked him if he'd like to bring his family. I told him YES HE WOULD, ha, so we went!
We learned that one reason they are so rare here is the ground has to stay moist and not freeze for the bug's life cycle under ground, which takes two years. Yeah, that's not a thing around here, ha. Each of our kids got to catch a firefly, and watching them blink across the field was really cool. It was definitely a special family night.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lighting the Way, Skinny Mini Alphabet
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent
Paper: Soft Succulent, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Lighting the Way Dies, big shot
Journaling Font: Moon Flower Bold

This firefly set that retired this spring was perfect for this page. And this page is easily in my top 10 favorites ever. I stamped the grassy-ness, and then stamped and die cut the fireflies. And I really love the result.

Another scrapbook layout for you today!
I have seen this idea a lot lately, with the strips of DP as the background and thought these photos worked well for that. Everything is very long retired, which is my favorite way to scrap, haha...

Stamps: Its a Girl Thing (2004), Girlfriend Accessories (2002), Just Perfect Alphabet (2010)
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Orchid Oasis
Paper: Flowers for You DP (2006)

I hope you are making something pretty too!

Birthday PlayTime!

Time is going faster than I think... I thought I had time to make this, but it needed to go out before I made it, darn it. But I made it and it's on it's way!

I used the sketch from Inspire.Create.Challenges. And I used the now ended Color Throwdown, altho it might be hard to tell.... that blue water takes up some space! Usually I choose colors as close as possible to the challenge image, and this time the shades aren't exact matches, and there's more than one shade for each color. But I promise the birthday girl will never notice.

Supplies:
Stamps: Kiddin' Around
Ink: Memento Black, Berry Burst
Stampin' Blends: Dark & Light Flirty Flamingo, Dark & Light Granny Apple Green, Dark & Light Balmy Blue, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Petal Pink, Light Basic Black, Dark Smoky Slate, Bronze, Ivory, SU800
Paper: Lemon Lolly, Basic White card stocks, Bright & Beautiful DP
Accessories: Dimensionals, Kiddin' Around dies, Subtles Candy Dots (retired), big shot (retired)

Cars!

I had a decent day of scrapbooking last week that I'm happy about. I managed to do at least one layout for all three of my kids, a couple got more.

One fun thing was that I scrapped both of my kids' first car purchases. They both bought their first car about seven months apart, ha.

This boy of mine loooves the color orange. He has a full set of dressier shirts for work that are orange and way more than a full set of every day orange shirts. He also has an orange jacket for days when he wants to wear something that isn't orange, ha. My mom has made him two orange-based quilts and my MIL made him one too. One wall in his room is orange. So it was NO surprise that he was thrilled to find an orange car. I am not actually a fan of printing photos thru Shutterfly, but I have, and the envelopes are a bold orange color with this little quote on the back. And this is the second scrap layout he has with this strip on it, HA.
Supplies:
Paper: Basic White card stock, Just Add Cake DP (long retired)
Accessories: 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes (retired), scrap from Shutterfly envelope

So then it was really funny that this girl who tends to choose bright, happy colors, was wearing black when she brought home her black car. HA. But it makes scrapping easier, doesn't it?
Supplies:
Stamps: Just Perfect Alphabet (retired)
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Basic Black card stock, True Love DP (retired)
Accessories: White Perfect Accents (retired)

Also, gotta say, I was excited to finish off those White Perfect Accents with this page. Not sure how old they are, but at least 4 years... Yeay for using up stash!!

Happy Friday! Two weeks in a row full of crafty posts! Hooray!

Supplies:
Stamps: Beside Me
Ink: Memento Black, Gray Granite
Stampin' Blends: Dark & Light Petal Pink, Dark & Light Granny Apple Green, Dark & Light Balmy Blue, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Dark Basic Black, Dark Smoky Slate, Bronze, Light Cherry Cobbler, Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Night of Navy
Paper: Basic White card stock, Country Woods DP (ON SALE!)

Pioneer Trek

Hello again! Another scrapbook layout today because this DP is on sale only until Saturday and I do not want you to miss out! And also once again combined with a very old stamp set, or three. I think I got the bootprints in my starter kit, which means it's 20 years old in my stash. Dude. LOL.

This layout is because in my neck of the woods, many people have great-grandparents (more greats than that...) who were actual pioneers, and there are youth activities to give them a tiny slice of a pioneer experience. My daughter went "in memory" of one of my 3rd great-grandmothers. She had to learn what information there was about her, and then they spent three days walking and pulling handcarts and its usually a really great experience. I was glad she got to do this, and she was glad too.
Supplies:
Stamps: Roughing It, Taffy Alphabet, Classic Alphabet Numbers (all long. retired.)
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso card stocks, Unbounded Beauty DP (ON SALE!!)
Accessories: Scalloped Lace Trim

So back to this DP... First of all, I was excited there was a DP in existence that matched her skirt, haha! And for the strip on the second page, I grunged it up a bit by using a Blending Brush and Crumb Cake ink to make it match her very. dirty. skirt. Can you tell?
Anyway, it's fun what you can find in your stash, both old and new. And its fun to make things work for what you need.

The Sky Is the Limit!

Today I have a layout featuring current DP (that is actually on sale for just a couple more days!!) combined with an old stamp set. I often keep my stamp sets, but this one was specifically kept because later the same year it was released, my daughter flew a plane, and I wanted to use it for her scrapbook page, ha! Right now there is a similar plane set, with really great dies available, that coordinates perfectly with this DP. You can order that if you love this suite. But I already have this one.....

Background story- when I was a child, the only occupation I felt someone 'couldn't do' based on gender, was nursing. When I was 7 and broke my arm, I was shocked that the hospital nurse was a man. In fact I told him men can't be nurses.... Men can be doctors, but only women could be nurses. Sure, women could be doctors too. But that was too weird to my child brain.
Fast forward many years and not once, but TWICE in the same year, this daughter of mine learned, that women can do anything- be a politician OR a skilled pilot! She was in such awe of a female stunt pilot at the air show, that she decided to be a pilot too. Our family has never flown anywhere, altho my husband and I have flown individually. After a few months of making big plans and big dreams to be a pilot, my husband learned she could go on a short flight with the flight school at one of the local universities. And he set a date for it!

She has since decided she no longer wants to be a pilot, but she is still so proud of this day. Over the past few years, any time there's been a get-to-know-you activity, flying a plane always comes up. So it is way past time to get this scrapped for her!
Supplies:
Stamps: Sky Is The Limit (retired)
Ink: Boho Blue, Smoky Slate
Paper: Boho Blue & Basic White card stocks, Take it to the Sky DP (on sale!)
Accessories: 2023-25 In Color Dots
Journaling Font: Aptos

Supplies:
Stamps: Layers of Beauty, Simply Said
Ink: Memento Black, Balmy Blue
Stampin' Blends: Light & Dark Granny Apple Green, Light & Dark Balmy Blue, Light & Dark Petal Pink

Trees!

Happy Monday! I managed to post every day last week and I have more this week! Yeay!!

Today's card is much too late for one of last weeks' challenges. But I didn't know it had ended when I made it, ha. So that's what you get today- a card for a man. I love this set and I haven't used it without the wreath til now.
Supplies:
Stamps: Encircled in Nature
Ink: Pecan Pie, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce

Happy Dragonflies!

This stamp set is so fun and to me, it just demands the latest In Colors. So I used them! ha! And it's quick and happy! I also used the latest CAS Colours & Sketches sketch.
Supplies:
Stamps: Happiest Day
Ink: Petunia Pop, Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink, Summer Splash, Shy Shamrock
Paper: Summer Splash, Basic White card stocks

Tho I think if I make another card like this, I'll use the In Color dots too...

Grateful

Happy Tuesday! I have another card for you!
This time I used the inspiration photo from Hand Stamped Sentiments as a layout for my card. (I finished it just minutes after the deadline, lol....) It's not exact, but you can definitely see it. I used the little flowers from the Layers of Beauty stamp set, and this fantastic DP that is on sale this month!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Layers of Beauty
Ink: Smoky Slate, Pretty in Pink
Paper: Basic White, Pretty in Pink, Country Woods DP
Accessories: Tinsel Gems Three Pack

This card is a bit random, but I like how it turned out. What do you think?

Sunflowers

Okay, you get a two-fer today, because I wanted to play along with this challenge before it ends, ha.
The Color Throwdown ends very soon (hour?) so I'm posting now, ha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Cheerful Daisies, Simply Said
Ink: Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie
Paper: Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie card stocks
Accessories: Brass Butterflies

The photo is a bit dark, but the words are in Mossy Meadow. I like these flowers in autumny shades too!
