Christmas Play!

Happy Monday! I have more projects for you this week!
Today I have an event from last December, but for my younger daughter. This page was made in June. The children in our church congregation did a bit of a nativity play for a local assisted living center, and my little one was asked to be a sheep. She was terribly upset about that, and then decided she could be a lamb. ha. Whatever it takes!
Supplies:
Stamps: Alphabest, For Unto Us, Joyful Nativity, God's Peace
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Delicata Gold
Paper: Very Vanilla & Cherry Cobbler card stock, All is Bright DP
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic ribbon, Festive Pearls
Journaling Font: Fairwater Script

and a smidge of a close up

Peter Pan's Flight Ride

Okay, this month ended up crazier than I expected! But now I've got some things scheduled to inspire you!

Today, I'm back to our Disneyland book(s)...! This page is pretty simple, but I still wanted to share the clean line layout and the fun idea with the star stamps! To get to Neverland, in case you don't know, you "just follow the second star to the right and straight on til morning", so I used two stars together a few times on the page.
Everything here is long retired except the Pear Pizazz ink, lol!

Supplies:
Stamps: Making Christmas Bright (tiny star), Joyful Nativity (long star), For Unto Us (outline long star)
Ink: Pear Pizazz, Delicata Gold
Paper: Certainly Celery
Accessories: Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon, Lucky Limeade Everyday Enchantment Organdy ribbon
Journaling Font: Viner Hand ITC

Here's a close up of the three stars, haha. The gold outline is hard to see in the photo, but it is there and adds a tiny touch of shine.
How about you? Are you surviving the end of school? If you're set, haha, what are you making??

Cute Little Christmas Tree

That's right, I got to make a Christmas card too! Today's card uses the color combo from Global Design Project, and it fits the theme for the latest SUO Challenge.

This is the first time I've gotten to use this cute little girl! And this set IS retiring, so if you love it, you'll want to place an order of $150 or more, or host a workshop so you can earn this one for free! You could decide to add this greeting set to your order to reach your $150 because it too is retiring! AND, today only, there is FREE SHIPPING available on orders over $50, so today is a great day to place your order!

This time I used blender pens and ink pads to color her. Not my favorite method, but it works okay, and that's where I have the colors for this challenge, haha. I did add two colors, but I think the yellow and brown were required here, don't you?

Supplies:
Stamps: Seasons of Fun - Hostess Only, For Unto Us (both retiring)
Ink: Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Mint Macaron, Garden Green, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler/Gold Ribbon, Blender Pens

Is there snow at your house?? It's plenty cold and supposed to get a lot colder but there is no snow... only over Fall Break for a minute... Even my kid who doesn't like snow is ready for a good, solid blizzard! Come on winter!! They're saying maybe tomorrow and I am sure hoping!!

We Create Blog Hop: Holiday Quickies

And just like that, December has arrived! Can you even believe it?? I cannot.

A new month means a new blog hop, so here we are with some inspiration for quick projects! For mine, I did a few quick Christmas cards, because I am way behind in my Christmas card making... Also it works nicely with the current SUO Challenge.
The fastest way *I know to make a beautiful card is by featuring some beautiful DP and adding a quick something. This time I used roughly half a sheet of the stunning Peaceful Place DP and cut it into three equal sections, perfect for a card front. I used three colors for the ink and paper based on ribbons I had. They're flat, they're still pretty and they are perfectly mailable! I got these three cards cut, stamped, assembled and photographed in about 20 minutes.

Supplies:
Stamps: For Unto Us
Ink: Real Red
Paper: Real Red card stock, Peaceful Place DP
Accessories: Gingham Ribbon
Supplies:
Stamps: For Unto Us
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Paper: Misty Moonlight card stock, Peaceful Place DP
Accessories: Flowers For All Seasons Ribbon
Supplies:
Stamps: For Unto Us
Ink: Soft Succulent
Paper: Soft Succulent card stock, Peaceful Place DP
Accessories: Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon

Which one do you like best?
Now hop along over to Kimberly's blog and see what she's got for you. Then continue on through (we're a very small group this time) and let us know what you think!
I hope you get some time to create something pretty this week too!

Christmas..?

...is not actually next, but as soon as I saw the Merry Melody embossing folder, I wanted to combine it with this stamp set that happily carried over from last year. And I finally got time to try it out!
I used the latest Sunday Stamps sketch and I think it worked out really lovely. I tried a few different colors and I like them all! Do you have a favorite?

Supplies:
Stamps: For Unto Us
Ink: Cherry Cobbler / Shaded Spruce / Memento Black
Paper: Very Vanilla card stock, Metallic Specialty Paper (from the annual catalog page 135, #7)
Accessories: Merry Melody Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

I also used a lot of Dimensionals on these, because each layer is popped up from the next, to make the "white on white" look pop!

Tips: For using up the 6x6 paper (which I struggle with!!) Trim 2" off one end, flip it the other direction and cut 2" strips. Altho for this card I wanted the music to show, so I only used 1" strips of the gold paper.

We Create Bloggers: Happy Holidays!

Welcome to December! My next favorite month of the year! This month is my favorite holiday: Christmas! It is cold here, but most of the snow has melted, even from the mountains! But a new month means a new blog hop and we are ready to inspire you with holiday themed projects!
My card today was a very quick one to put together- especially since the strips were actually scraps were from another crafting day! I keep my scraps of DP in the same package just incase I find a cute way to use them, and I did! My card design comes from last week's Freshly Made Sketch. And since I have a Christmas card for you, it fits the current SUO Challenge and the TGIF Challenge! So here's my card...
Supplies:
Stamps: For Unto Us
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Paper: Whisper White, Seaside Spray card stocks, Feels Like Frost DP
Accessories: Metallic Pearls, Dimensionals

annnd I decided it was maybe a bit too plain. It still needed something. So I made a second one! This time I embossed the Seaside Spray card stock, I added a bit of ribbon to the bottom of the words, and I changed the pearls I used!
Supplies:
Stamps: For Unto Us
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Paper: Whisper White, Seaside Spray card stocks, Feels Like Frost DP
Accessories: Pearls, Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon, Subtle Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Yep, I like that one better! But they're both nice and mailable, and I really like the silver with the cool blue, makes it look like it feels outside, only prettier, haha!

Now hop on over to Tricia's blog using the button below. Then hop on through the whole group. There aren't a lot of us. And let us know what you think, everyone loves feedback!
And make a card to mail out to someone this week! People love paper hugs!!
