Seriously, when have you ever seen a bow on my work? That's because my bows always turn out totally wonky and weird. always. on shoes, little girl dresses, whatever, my bows do not work. Today's model is actually a looped ribbon with another bit of ribbon secured around the middle to make it look all purty. Yeay!
The card uses last week's Mojo Monday sketch and some autumny but kind of weird colors. lol!

Different Birthday!
These fun birthday pages are of the same child as a few days ago, and use the same stamp set, but the photos are a few years old. That is why they are 8x11 size. I have decided I really don't like working with this size anymore! I'm so glad I've moved all of our books to 12x12, even tho the albums cost more!
Oh, this is also designed around a challenge to scrap summertime fun, family and food. Check, check and check!

Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Pool Party inks & markers

Autumn page
I got a huge snapfish order last week so definitely expect some scrapbook pages in the next little while!
These pictures are from last year and are so much fun! There was a challenge to make an autumn-themed page and these photos were too perfect! I don't know where the little leaves came from, they were a gift that has been hanging around my stash for a little while. Both the letters and the swirl stamps are retired but they fit the page well.
Supplies:
Stamps: Priceless (retired), Taffy Alphabet (retired)
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Textured Pumpkin Pie & So Saffron card stocks
Accessories: unknown leaves

Elegant Thanks
Today I take a different direction with a rather elegant/sophisticated card to share. I used Susan's sketch and the Timeless Portrait DP. It must be a week for me to use colors I usually struggle with becuase River Rock has never been my favorite shade, but wow, I sure love it with black! The greeting is almost too wide to be on the card this direction, but I really like it hanging over. I embossed the words it to make it look more striking. I also totally love this fabulous paper! While cutting it up I realized I have a fabulous idea for a scrapbook page which I will create and share very soon. *squeal*
Supplies:
Stamps: Heard from the Heart
Ink: Versamark
Paper: River Rock & Basic Black card stocks, Timeless Portrait DP
Accessories: Basic Black grosgrain ribbon, Black embossing powder, Heat Tool

Pages for a Birthday!
I ended up with four pages for this birthday party! These pages are very "Clean & Simple", which is usually my style, but with white card stock it seems to be even more so. The stamping is a lot more vibrant in real life, but it is on textured card stock so that's why it looks grainy in the photos. Feel free to click for a closeup on the stamping, and at the end I'll throw in a picture of that awesome cake my husband decorated!
Supplies:
Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Real Red, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Whisper White textured card stock
Accessories: Brights Buttons, Mini Glue Dots
I do need to add in a bit of journaling, and I may still outline the photos with a marker...I haven't decided. But the party is now in the book and that is a good thing.
Now about that cake............. my husband seriously rocks at cake decorating!! Just ignore my blurring out the gist of the boy's name.....*wink*

Punches!!
Hello again! Today's card used a fun sketch and three punches! I actually had a 4th punch out but decided that would make the flower piece too big. I saw Sherri use this Blossom Bouquet Punch with either this same color combination or Not Quite Navy was the blue, and loved it like that so I have been looking for an excuse to use it again. It also gave me another chance to try making the Island Indigo work. And I paired it with the Timeless Portrait DP for two of the pieces here. I love how this card turned out!

What a Difference...
This page sort of used a sketch found HERE and a challenge to use the phrase "what a difference" on the page. This day marked a huge change for my kids...one had been in a toddler bed for four years and the other was in a crib, and suddenly they had bunk beds! Big twin sized beds with headboards (the beds were made by my father) and a ladder and new sheets and huge quilts (made by my mother in law). The whole room had to be rearranged and they felt so grown up! What a difference a big kid bed makes!
I added a stitched look to the page by using the Mat Pack to make the dots and connecting every other one.
Ink: Pear Pizazz & Night of Navy markers
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Banbury DP (retired!)
Accessories: Mat Pack, Mini Glue Dots, retired buttons

Today's page uses the same retired DP as yesterday, it was made for the same child's book and the pictures were taken at the house of the same friend! haha! This page sketch comes from HERE and I loved finding a sketch that allowed for so many photos on one page!
The story behind the pictures is that she loves the Chronicles of Narnia movies and was thrilled to find her friend owned a toy bow & arrow so she could pretend to be Susan. Cracked me up.
Supplies:
Stamps: none
Ink: Bravo Burgundy Marker
Paper: Pretty in Pink card stock, Sending Love DP (retired!)
Accessories: 1/8 inch Real Red taffeta ribbon

Here's an idea....square card sketches are * perfect * scrapbook sketches! This page uses the latest Mojo Monday sketch! I only had this one little picture but its so sweet- it had to be in a book!
My friend loves to be funny to get her kids to do funny things. She asked her son to give my daughter a kiss and the picture was priceless! They were almost 3 so its just sweet, and pretty funny! I did use retired supplies but hey, I finished those fabulous brads! One less container hanging around! WHOO!

Stamps: none
Ink: Chocolate Chip Marker

Island Indigo
Yes, I am back! hee hee! I've just been so busy with life that I haven't had much time for crafting. I want to, I just have too many other things to do, darn that 'sponsibility. But today I managed to get a few projects ready to share with you!
This color is a challenge for me to use! I did use it on the baby shower invites, and that's it. But I love this TImeless Portrait DP, and it has plenty of Island Indigo in it...and today I used it for a beachy kind of feel, paired with this lovely lighthouse. This is going to be my grandmother's birthday card. She's turning 80 in a few days. Wow... She loves lighthouses tho, (and so do I) and hopefully the DP doesn't make the card too busy....
the Stamping 411 sketch I used required a circle in the middle of a rectangle. I went for something a little more out-of-the-box and stamped the lighthouse twice, but only colored one, and punched the circle out of the colored one and layered it right on top of the b/w one. Turned out nice, I think.
and a close- up... can you see the punched layer?
Supplies:
Stamps: Unchartered Territory
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: River Rock, Island Indigo & Whisper White card stocks, Timeless Portrait DP
Accessories: Linen Thread, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens

MDS is a blog solution!
So a few days ago I mentioned that I couldn't add the new Holiday Mini link to my sidebar. Blogger says I have used up my photo quota. I actually had seven blogs that day and since then discovered how to restore some photo quota....but apparently not enough to add photos to my sidebar!
I also came up with some clever ideas for "keeping" my blog posts, and adding storage space! Blogger and other programs exist that allow you to print off your blog, say at the end of a year. However, I already own My Digital Studio software and what a quick way for me to make scrapbook pages out of blog posts! For family posts, I've already typed out the story, I just need to put it on a page! I can arrange it however I like and for whatever I like. My food blog can be assembled and printed as a wedding or shower gift!
So here's my first page-from-a-blog. This blog no longer exists (as of yesterday) because it was designed for family reunion plans for a reunion that happened two summers ago. Super, duper easy, but keeps the work I did and the info shared in one safe location!

Simple & perfect!
Do you ever create something and just have to sit back and love it for a while? LOL! I don't know how to explain this, but I {heart} this page!!!
I wanted to play with a sketch to get some pages done and kept finding 3-photo sketches and 4, 7 or 8 photo events...sigh.... Then I found these pictures and wondered what paper I could put with it and it all fell into place and I LOVE it!! The DP and stickers are *super* old. The copyright date say 2006. I got two of these kits I loved it so much. I loved it because it came with this tiny flowery paper and this stripey paper- perfect for either of my kids. And now perfect for this fun day!
The above page is for my daughter and this page is for my son.I used the same sketch, found HERE. He still needs a title, but my larger letter stamps are at my mom's house right now...
It was such a funny, random thing...my husband came home from a Saturday morning event he had to run, and rang the doorbell when he got home? He handed me a grocery sack and squirted me with a water gun! In the sack was three little squirt guns, just like what he was holding, and a family water fight ensued! When my gun was out of water I ran in to grab the camera and he was showering them with a bottle of water, while they squirted back! The kids had SO much fun, and it only lasted about 5 minutes! I was glad I got a couple shots to be able to scrapbook the event, so that they don't forget.
Supplies:
Stamps: none!
Ink: Chocolate Chip Marker
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Friends & Flowers Simply Scrappin Kit, Hemp twine

Love birds!
Here's a sweet little card from my Wedding/Baby class this week.
I borrowed the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set from my friend, and its obvious that's what I used behind the birds, but I also used it ON the birds. I stamped that flourishy heart with Pretty in Pink ink on white card stock and punched out the birds! I had the class attendees' mount their birds on Dimensionals tho, and they stood out much better that way. The wings were punched out of plain white card stock.
Supplies:
Stamps: I {Heart} Hearts, Heard from the Heart
Ink: Real Red, Pretty in Pink
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Bird Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, thin Red Taffeta Ribbon
