Anniversary!

Ok, this was too fun! On SCS there was a bunch of scrap challenges to do pages on yourself. The point is we are always taking pictures of and therefore scrapping our family and loved ones, and we rarely show up in pictures, much less pages. I was excited about these challenges, I just don't have the photos printed for these pages... Buuuut...!!! This week was my 10th wedding anniversary and I snapped this picture of us. I love it, love it, love it! Now...what to do with it to make it special? Find a challenge about Then and Now and find a wonderful wedding picture as the contrast!!! WHOO! (and while looking, I found this cute FIRST picture of us!) So HERE is what I made!!!
Really, I really love it. It was a lousy evening, but I was dancing while sitting on the floor putting this together! Our wedding colors were dark green and a cream color, and the flowers were white daisies and yellow roses. Well, guess who has been hoarding some yellowy paper with white daises on it? That's right! LOL! Goodness, I love it! haha! Supplies:
Stamps: Taffy ABC, Ever After Ink: Chocolate Chip, So Saffron Paper: Kraft, Barely Banana & Chocolate Chip card stocks, Spring Showers DP (retired) Accessories: Loads of Letters Chipboard, Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon, Pretties Kit, Button Latte, Jumbo Brads, Linen Thread

Workshop Cards

We had a really fun workshop this weekend! These are the cards we made, tomorrow I'll share something else. First I showed this card, which is totally inspired and based on THIS card by Heather Telford. I *really* loved her white on white card. In my case, however, I stamped the image from Lovely As A Tree in two colors of ink and combined it.

Supplies: Stamps: Lovely As A Tree Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red Paper: Very Vanilla card stock Accessories: Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals This second card was the make & take project. The workshop was outside and it was getting late, so I didn't get all the flowers colored in. And I photo'd it and then gave it away, so it never was completed! But you get the idea...! Supplies: Stamps: Ever After, Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel Ink: Chocolate Chip Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery card stock Accessories: Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens

Saffron & Buttons

So since the new catalog came out three weeks ago, (LOVE it, btw!) I cleared off my sample board of all discontinued and retired product. HMM. That left me with a mighty sparse board and that gives me a LOT of work to do! So! I'm going thru sites that have sketches and hoping to get many cards done in the next little bit. Then I'll actually be ready for my upcoming workshops! LOL!

I got to play with Jen's SSFYTT and I LOVE the result...

Ever After!

"...ever after!" ...its another song in my head, lol. that one comes from Into The Woods...or maybe the Cinema Challenge two weeks ago...or maybe the stamp set I used on the card! haha!

Well, for the challenge you were supposed to use a flourish. My flourish image is being loaned out at the moment so um, you get distressed...? haha.

This is one of those movies I love but I never watch. I am obnoxiously emotional so the whole little girl-daddy thing kills me, and then the shoes/book dilemma... so I just avoid the flick, even tho its downstairs and I really do love it. Yup, I'm cool like that.

So anyway, I picked this awesome Friendly Words wheel because its got that old fashioned touch, but also, Danielle is a loyal friend and its her friends who get her thru it all. Even when her prince is a jerk, she's got her friends. I added the bluebell stamp because it worked. Its just funny that it comes from a set called Ever After. *giggle* I tried to mix in distressed edges because there is that rustic-ness to the movie.

Supplies:

Stamps: Ever After, Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel Ink: Chocolate Chip ink cartridge, Almost Amethyst Paper: Almost Amethyst, Close to Cocoa Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Mat Pack, Jumbo Brads

Stretching!

This card is not exactly my usual style. Its like the ones I admire but never seem to emulate. Well, I made this one using Jen's SSFYTT and also, for my parents 30th wedding anniversary! So I really wanted it to be PRETTY. I wanted to use all of these elements...the ribbon, the embossed heart, and that particular DP. I am very happy with the end result! I need to "stretch" more often! And I think this new stamp set will help me do that!

Supplies: Stamps: Ever After Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Versamark, White Craft paper: Bravo Burgundy, Pink Pirouette, Parisian Summer DP (retired) Accessories: White embossing Powder, Heat Tool, White Taffeta Ribbon
