Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to you!
Today I have kind of a bonus post. My little one found our cookie cutters this summer and wanted to make Halloween cut out cookies ever since. We finally did it this week and since that makes a TON of cookies we shared some with neighbors too! I {almost} never make tags but I have a lot of Paper Pumpkin Halloween supplies that are kind of perfect for tag making so I used some up to make these plates even cuter!

The tags used two different kits, Sept 2014 and Sept 2016, and the pumpkin tags used the Holiday Home stamp set which was released in 2014 for the little jack o'lantern faces...which you can hardly see! I layered them onto Old Olive rectangles and then just taped that onto the cookie plates!

And finally, here's my cute Little Red Riding Hood who got to dress up for her preschool party this week!

Snowy Houses

Today's Christmas card is a two-fer!
This is the card I sent out for the Cards in the Mail swap, for November/December. It wasn't difficult to mass-produce and honestly I loved how it turned out! I assembled them all before adding the Dazzling Detail "snow", and then had them all spread out to dry, haha! Click on the picture for a better view...
Then crunch time hit for my card class, and I decided we could make this one too!
Supplies:
Stamps: Holiday Home
Ink: Soft Suede, Versamark
Paper: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Pool Party
Accessories: Chevron ribbon, Homemade Holiday Framelits, Big Shot, Dazzling Details, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

How are your Christmas cards coming along? The last couple years we've done a photo card, so you'd think I'd have quite a stash acquired...but you'd be wrong, haha! I still need to complete a dozen or so more, and I was hoping to have them all mailed out tomorrow....hmmmm! Guess how I'll be spending my day...? hee hee....

A Christmas Home

Today's a card I am particularly happy with, haha! I used the current Mojo Monday sketch for this one, and YES it is one we'll make at the card classes!!

The house is stamped in Basic Gray and then cut out with the Big Shot. I put the string of lights on before cutting, and stamped the wreath right on top of the door - most of the samples I've seen, the wreath was cut out. I colored the house with Smoky Slate, and lit up a window because I don't know abotu your house, but its been gray for a while here! The snowman is stamped in Basic Gray too, and his scarf is Mossy Meadow. Then I used Blender Pens and the Soft Sky ink pad to add blueish shadows to the ground! I love the swirly snow pattern on this sheet of All Is Calm DP and it fit so perfectly! Finally, I picked two of the washi tape patterns for the diagonal piece of the sketch! I seriously love it!
Supplies:
Stamps: Holiday Home
Ink: Basic Gray, Soft Sky, Real Red, Mossy Meadow marker, So Saffron marker, Smoky Slate marker
Paper: Soft Sky & Whisper White card stocks, All Is Calm DP
Accessories: All Is Calm washi tape, Homemade Holiday dies, Big Shot, Dimensionals, Blender Pens

Happy Halloween!!!

Last night I took the kids to a Trunk-or-Treat at a local grocery store, so you get to see Pocahontas and a Minecraft Creeper a little bit early!
But you come for the stamping, don't you? I have tons of that today too! Last weekend I was at my parents house, and my mom had specifically asked me to bring any Halloween stuff I had, so that she could make lots of cards to mail out. Her mother always did before passing away, and her aunt does too, so my mom is carrying on the tradition! We set out the stamps we had (current and very old) and pulled up Pinterest and went to work! I've included links to where the inspiration came from if we found it online...Enjoy these no-calorie Halloween treats!

I'm starting off with maybe my favorite- this one was my mom's idea- she saw the "witch parking" words and wanted to do a fence with a bunch of brooms leaning against it! Clever, huh?!

Neighbors!

Today is my card class at my friend's house! And here is the 4th card we are going to make!
I happen to be very excited about this card! I used the current Freshly Made Sketch for the layout. My last house card, after seeing it on my blog I felt like it needed something...well, it needed a ground to sit on! So this time I made a point to have grassy lawns! haha... I used ink pads and blender pens to shade in the houses, and the door, but markers of lighter shades to do the roofs and other details.
Supplies:
Stamps: Holiday Home
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Cajun Craze; Markers: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate
Paper: Sahara Sand, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Color Me Autumn DP
Accessories: Hexagon Punch, Word Window Punch, Big Shot, Homemade Holiday Die, Blender Pen

Blog Hop: Holiday Catalog

Happy October to you! Autumn has definitely arrived at my house, we went from unseasonably hot 91* days to 58* rainy days overnight! But that's okay- autumn is my favorite season and it puts me in the mood to create for the holiday season!! And today, our blog hop is allll about the new Holiday Mini Catalog!! I posted my favorite items from the Holiday Mini in THIS post, and today you get to see the first things I've made, putting those favorite items into action!

First up, an autumny card, mostly using the NAC #109 sketch! Thanksgiving is a great autumn holiday and I like the excuse to send thank you cards to the people who do so much for me and my family all year long!
(the sketch got a little turned around, only because I wasn't paying attention to which corner got the overlapped Washi tape...)
Supplies:
Stamps: Holiday Home
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry & Cajun Craze
Paper: Crushed Curry & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Color Me Autumn Washi Tape

And next, I have a Halloween card using the current Mojo Monday sketch! Can you see the stars embossed on the black? Love!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Tee Hee Hee
Ink: Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Stars Embossing Folder, Banners Framelits Die, Big Shot

What do you think? Oh I promise there will be many more creations to come, and of course I won't forget the biggest holiday around here- Christmas! But today I thought I'd focus on the autumn holidays first. *grin.
Now go see what every one else chose to make with the products in the Holiday Mini, and be sure and leave them some comments too! Start with Cheryl's blog by clicking below!
