Today is the primary election for a few state positions, so today is a good day to share this page I made my son of his first time voting!
I had to laugh when he saw this page- he didn't know I took pictures of him in the voting booth. Dude- you had me come with, I'm gonna take pictures! haha! It's like he doesnt' even know me.....

Band Parades
This week has had a little summer fun going on with the kids, which means no crafting time for me. So, here's some more band pages today! Here are some parade pages, before parade season starts up again......
here's hoping anyway, huh??!
This first one is super basic...
Supplies:
Stamps: Skinny Mini Alphabet
Ink: Pacific Point
Paper: Whisper White, local scrapbook store dp
And this second one was for a challenge:
I took "using sunburnt country colours. Bonus if you add coral or things found in the ocean."
I used the hot yellow, cajun craze and the dark gray band paper for sunburnt colors, with a pop of blue for the ocean.
Supplies:
Stamps: Taffy Alphabet
Ink: Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Daffodil Delight & Whisper White card stocks, Adventure Bound DP (retired), local scrapbook store DP
Journaling Font: Parade

Crazy Simple
Since today marks the start of the new Marching Band season in this house, it's a good day to share some band scrapping I did, cramming to get my son's senior year scrapped. (there is a TON of band...) And that was a good thing too because now the school is saying they might not get their yearbooks til August! And since these pages are so incredibly simple I'll share more than one, haha.... You can click on them to make it bigger and maybe see it better.
This layout uses pictures the teacher shared on facebook from Band Camp week. This page was for a challenge and I used the strips of DP to represent a fence, and I used the theme of the challenge as the title for my page! The journaling that is wonky on the first page are what the teacher wrote about each day. The paragraph on the second page is what my son had to say about it.
Supplies:
Paper: Night of Navy card stock, local scrapbook store
Accessories: Navy/Sahara Sand twine
Font: Title: 1942 Report, Journaling: Narkism
And this layout is the performance for the parents and potluck dinner held at the very end of the week above! I was glad a green background worked because I literally ran out of 12x12 blue card stock by the end of his book, ha!
Supplies:
Paper: Garden Green card stock
Accessories: Glitter Enamel Dots
Font: Enviro
I've still got lots more to scrap and my littlest keeps asking to use the camera to take pictures so I have something to scrapbook for her...! (more pictures are the LAST thing I need!) What are you making right now?

June's Paper Pumpkin!
Happy Monday! This post is full of HAPPY!
I put together the entire Paper Pumpkin kit the very day it arrived! I never do that (refer to last post) haha, but I felt this would be a great one to send out right about now. This kit made two each of four cards.
This time, I happened to grab the "wrong" card base, but it still works.
This time I left off the suns that are made of the same oil-painted DP as the card bases above. I liked the gold sun!
This particular kit was designed so that you can send off the box, decorated and full of something happy for someone else entirely. So this time, there's even more extras left over!
What are you doing to share sunshine in your corner of the world? Now's a good time to send a card to someone!

Paper Pumpkin for Father's Day!
It was a rough week and I was getting desperate, haha... so! Old Paper Pumpkin kits to the rescue! Yeay!!
This one was from June of 2016
This one was from July of 2017 and I finally used it all up (using the same words as from the above kit)
by making one final Thank You card with it!
No, actually I have this much left...! I might punch some dies or something out of the left over sticker-paper....or I might toss it in a few months, LOL.
Anyway, I finally got those Father's Day cards in the mail, and I am so glad I had Paper Pumpkin kits still stashed ready to make quick and easy masculine cards with!

A Little Unique!
Wellllll, this is one of those cards that worked better in my head. But that's okay- one more done, haha!
This time I used the colors from SUO Challenges, and the sketch from TGIF Challenges. I thought about having the flowers going down the side like the sketch shows, but I decided the word fit better having the flowers at the top, so there they are! Also this card features a new catalog bundle- the stamps and the punch come together for a 10% discount!
and, darnit! That smudged dragonfly was fine, but it kept trying to rain the day I made this, and every time I'd go outside to take a picture of my cards it would spit just enough that I had to go back in. Apparently it got the card one of the times! I didn't even notice til I uploaded it here!
Supplies:
Stamps: Field of Flowers
Ink: Soft Suede, Coastal Cabana
Paper: Petal Pink, Soft Suede card stocks
Accessories: Flowers for Every Season ribbon pack

Boats for Father's Day
I got a card made, and like almost everything I've been making lately, it's for a guy! It's Father's Day this weekend, and my son still needs a few more thank yous. There will be a girly card tomorrow tho. haha!
So for today's card I used the color challenge at Sunday Stamps, along with the card sketch on Splitcoaststampers this week. The DP and the twine just retired but everything else is current. And I really like the pop of Terracotta Tile! I haven't played with that color very much!
Supplies:
Stamps: Sailing Home, Well Said
Ink: Terracotta Tile, Balmy Blue
Paper: Terracotta Tile, Night of Navy & Whisper White card stocks, Come Sail Away DP (retired)
Accessories: Lovely Labels Pick A Punch, Smooth Sailing Dies, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Navy/Sahara Sand twine (retired), Big Shot (retired)

Easter Pages
I have been away from the computer a bit, so I missed blogging yesterday. But really I have tons of scrapbooking, so even if I don't get to make cards soon, I still have plenty to share!
Let's stick with this holiday theme that I started on Sunday, haha... So today it's Easter! Since I was doing sooo much scrapping for my son, I went thru my entire DP stash, which is...huge. *ahem. And I found this great, albeit really old, Simply Scrappin' kit that is so perfect for boy pages! I think I used it twice, but obviously, definitely here.
Supplies:
Stamps: Skinny Mini Alphabet (retired)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Pool Party, Bandstand Simply Scrappin' Kit (retired)
Accessories: Bandstand Simply Scrappin' Kit (retired)

St Patrick's Day, again.
Happy Sunday to you!
One of the things on my mind is that I really need to start scrapping our time "in quarantine" (tho we weren't technically) and all the weird things that have happened this year. One thing that IS done for all three kiddos is our St Patrick's Day. This page was done in MDS since I don't own anything St Patrick's Day -ish. Also that allows me to just print four copies and call it good.
The tie-in between this page and COVID-19 is that our little town had a few of these events shared thanks to the town facebook page, starting with a shamrock hunt the days leading up to the 17th!
It was meant to give people (children) something fun to do - let them color a shamrock, hang it up (ie: decorate the house for the holiday!) and then on our isolated walks or drives to get out of the house, see how many you could find! When I suggested it, my kids only wanted me to print two- one for the front yard and one for the back, and they each colored one leaf of each shamrock, haha....
(and actually, I just remembered, I used my retired heart dies to make the shamrocks they colored!)
They also held an egg hunt and a bear hunt, that will need scrapped. Eventually I want it all recorded- the hard, the fun, the good, the bad, all the things. There has been all of that since March when the world lost it's mind.... Our state has opened up rather a lot (thank heavens!!!) but my three year old still asks if people are done being sick so she can do this or that... sigh. I wish it was over...

Swim Pages!
I think we can finish up the swim pages today...
The first layout was done in March. I went to this meet.
This page was done in May, in my cram session. This was his very last high school swim meet, and we all went to it, even tho it was held over an hour away. I think we've made it to this meet every year... and this is the first time I'm getting the event scrapped...
This was the state meet, which only a few people on the team get to participate in, so he took the pics himself.
The title stamps and the DP are all long-retired Stampin' Up! supplies, but the swim themed stickers come from the local scrapbook store. And I used the same typed font (called Throw My Hands Up In The Air) for all the swim pages, which is funny because I made a point to mix them up with band pages...
Anyway. There's three more shared. I hope you get to create this weekend!

3.5 months
Today we're back to scrapbook pages. Because I have TONS. haha....
This one was obviously made for my youngest. She was so excited I made another page for her! She has also taken to asking to use my camera "so that I have pictures to put her in scrapbook....." like that's something I need.... hahaha!! It is so not.
Anyway, I loved how these pictures turned out and I used a Stashbuster Challenge for this layout. I used circles, stamps and sequins, and two different DP. And I used Calypso Coral and Blackberry Bliss ink to do a watercolor wash on watercolor paper, then I stamped the camera and fussy cut it out, and I die cut the number 3 out of the same paper.
Supplies:
Stamps: Capture The Good (retired)
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Stazon Black
Paper: Pretty in Pink (retired), Shimmery White card stocks, Wildflower Fields DP (retired), Watercolor Paper
Accessories: Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit (sequins) (retired), Big Shot, Large Numbers dies (retired), Circle Dies (retired), Watercolor Brush

Today I have lots of new stuff, wrapped into one little card! I used the latest sketch from Fab Friday, along with two new colors, one new DP, one new ribbon and one new punch! FUN! The only thing "old" is the greeting and that is because my son still needs thank you notes!
Supplies:
Stamps: A Good Man
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, World of Good DP
Accessories: Flowers for Every Season Ribbon (the twine), Lovely Labels Pick A Punch, Dimensionals

Snow Pages
Today, while it's hot, we'll play with some snow, haha. These two pages are for different kids, and are of different snow storms, but they use the very same (RETIRED) stamp sets, so I'll combine them today.
I worked on my son's scrapbook many days recently, and every time I had the scrapbook stuff out, my youngest would ask me to make a new page for her. So when I did, and she tried to show her daddy, she was very exasperated that he would stop and look at older pages- she just wanted him to see the new one!! Since school has ended, I've done a couple layouts for her.
Supplies:
Stamps: Bundle Up (retired), Whimsical Upper (retired)
Ink: Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green
Paper: Very Vanilla, Granny Apple Green card stocks
Supplies:
Stamps: Bundle Up (retired), Whimsical Upper (retired)
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo
Paper: Purple Posy, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Metallic Sequins (retired)

Swim Pages!
Today's the day!! The brand new catalog begins at noon today!! If you don't already have a copy in your hot little hands, I'll link it up right at noon for you here on my sidebar!
~~~
That was a bunch of cards over the last few days! Now let's go back to scrapbooking! I must say, I keep all my alphabet sets specifically for scrapbooking. And I love using up my huge stash of retired DP for scrapbooks too! Last time I posted a page it was for the swim banquet. Here are some of the pages that got him there....
This one was for a challenge to use something transparent like windows (clear droplets), trim (twill tape) and paneling (the three strips of DP down the side). I also pulled out another old technique- stamping on the ribbon!
Supplies:
Stamps: Just Perfect Alphabet (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White, I Am Me DP (retired)
Accessories: Clear Epoxy Droplets, Twill Tape (retired), sticker from the local store
This was just a page I made work for one of their overnight swim meets.
Supplies:
Paper: Basic Gray, Sunshine & Sprinkles DP (retired)
Accessories: Glitter Enamel Dots (retired), White Perfect Accents (retired), stickers from the local store
Journaling Font: Throw My Hands Up In The Air
It's been fun getting all these events done for him. I'm glad I trained him to take a lot of photos, haha!
Vintage Love
My inlaws will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary this week. (No, I am not that old, and really, neither is my husband. He was a surprise later in life, haha.) That means they were married in 1950. I was scanning my stamp stash wondering which set to use and I really love this couple....and then I thought if I used it in sepia tones, it would totally suite a 70th anniversary! My husband loved the idea so I got to work. And I am really happy with how it turned out!
I'm entering it in this week's SUO Challenge, which is designer's choice.
Supplies:
Stamps: Silhouette Scenes, Very Versailles
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Paper: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede card stocks
Accessories: Copper Trim (retired), Lace Trim, retired Vanilla button, Tin Tile Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Stamping Sponges
I love the subtle textures going on! I had to use a retired button, and I used a tiny scrap of Soft Suede card stock as the "thread" - an old technique but one I love!
We Create Blog Hop: Making a Splash
Hello again! Happy June! Summer is here! Ohhh how I hope we continue to improve around here and move in to "green" so that the world is much less shut down! I have plans ready in case we can't do much, but we'd love to do the plans that involve a lot more...! Fingers crossed!
In the meantime, we have a blog hop to kick off your summer celebrations! Our theme this month is Making A Splash, and whatever that means to each one of us. That says water to me, so I pulled out my Sailing Home stamp set, combined it with the color challenge from Color Throwdown, and made this for you!
(Okay, I picked Balmy Blue instead of turquoise and that is a softer blue, but I think it still works)
Supplies:
Stamps: Sailing Home
Ink: Memento Black, Balmy Blue
Paper: Balmy Blue, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Clear Epoxy Droplets
Now hop on over to Libby's blog, and then hop thru the whole group to see what we've created to inspire you! And leave us your thoughts- everyone enjoys feedback!
