Its summertime and for my family that means a lot of time outdoors! These photos are from just this past month! My family took a quick hike one Saturday morning, to a little waterfall up the canyon nearest our house. Perfect way to enjoy The Great Outdoors! This hike (which is really more of an uphill walk) has some log "bridges" to let you cross over the stream as you go, and I thought my leaf die cuts would work fabulously for this! I used some very distressed corners of the Epic Day DP to make my leaves, and then used some "coordinating but not matching" card stock to complete the project.
Supplies:
Paper: Soft Suede & Marina Mist card stock, Epic Day DP
Accessories: Big Shot, Autumn Accents Bigz Dies
I thought there could be endless possibilities for card making with a theme like The Great Outdoors! Who doesn't have flowers stamps, if nothing else, haha, and what a fabulous part of The Great Outdoors flowers are! Usually, I get my blog hop projects done early in the month but this has been a particularly crazy one so I was still scrambling yesterday to get another project done! As soon as I saw the current Freshly Made Sketch I knew what I could do with it! And I knew my bird punch would suit it fabulously!
Supplies:Stamps: Banner Greetings (hostess!)
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe Marker
Paper: Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Bird Punch, Woodgrain embossing folder, Big Shot
Please continue on and see what the rest of my blogging friends have created with The Great Outdoors! You won't be disappointed!
What a great way to use the die cut leaves! With all this heat it is making want fall. :P
ReplyDeleteTanya, both of these projects are darling! The page is for sure outdoorsy with all the leaves--Epic Day DSP gives it a fun twist!

ReplyDeleteSuch great projects! And thanks for picking such an awesome theme. I plan to continue on with it and make some masculine/nature-themed birthday cards in the next week for the FIVE men in my family who have birthdays soon! Haha. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layout! Love your card. The bird punch goes great with the wood grain background. Cute family photos too!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty card. Love the colors and the textured woodgrain background, and the way you used the sentiment banner. Very well done! Thanks for sharing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
