I did this layout a couple weeks ago and am finally sharing something here, lol...
I wasn't kidding- LIFE! There's just too much going on.

School Picture
Today I have a school themed page for you! It's actually part of a double layout, but the second page is her class picture that year, and I'm leaving it off, ha. It's annoying to hide 25 kids and titles and all the things, so here you go.
This scrapping kit is ancient, but I loved it! I can't believe it is from 2007. Everything on this page is ancient, ha. It's good to use your stuff!! I liked More Mustard and I love it with this blue too.
Paper: Basic White c/s, Primary Colors SS Kit (2007!) (More Mustard, Brocade Blue)

Daddy Daughter Date
Today I have a super quick layout for you!
This one is a page for my daughter. The paper almost matched her shirt so of course I had to use that, ha. And the title was kinda fun too, haha!

Summer Fun!
Hello again! Today I have the digital images of some scrapbook pages I've been putting together.
A couple years ago, two of my children loudly complained that "we didn't even do anything fun all summer" ...and they got a LOOK, and handed our list that we had come up with to maybe do over the summer, and all the things crossed out with a highlighter were things that we had done! Sheesh!
With that in mind, I made a four page layout for my youngest (one of the complainers) of the fun she had this summer. I chose one photo a day (two photos, twice), and skipped some days, including our big trip, and it looks like she did lots of fun stuff to meeee! This does not include countless afternoons out with neighborhood friends, nor a few bigger activities she went to elsewhere without me, that I don't have pictures of.
I also used a lot of images of the sun to fit Challenge #1 on Splitcoaststampers.com to put the sun or flames on a page. It was a perfect match, ha!
Supplies:
Accessories: Baja Breeze grosgrain ribbon, knot

So today I have a triple page layout I made a few months ago. It is photos of years ago... and every single thing here is long retired. I love using my stash for scrapping!

Petroglyphs!
I didn't mean to drop off the face of the earth. We spent an amazing week in Oregon, and then came home to me "having" to make peach jam for two days and my husband and big kids started framing the rest of the basement. We have two bedrooms finished down there and the rest is unfinished. But it's on it's way now! Also elementary school started this week and college starts next week and there's just been a LOT going on!!
Today was the first time in a while I've gotten to be crafty! I made some more pages of a trip we took last year, because of course I really want to do the latest trip, haha!
This was our second stop on this trip. We found several panels of petroglyphs, and the internet says they are from four different times periods, so that's pretty cool to me. We couldn't find the mining ghost town, but we did find it's cemetery.

That's all, folks!
Time to make a little announcement here.
After 21 years and five months, I am choosing to no longer be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Look how little some of us used to be when I started this journey!

Sand Hill!
The title has been in my head since I created this page so it had to be done! It comes from a Wiggles song of the same title, haha! Some of my kids were huge fans of The Wiggles.
This page was also for a challenge to use hot colors, liiike red, orange and yellow. DONE! I actually scanned in the now-retired Delicate Desert DP for the background. Then I added digital mats in Calypso Coral, and the cardstock for the title is also Calypso Coral.
Ink: Calypso Coral mats
Paper: Calypso Coral, Delicate Desert - scanned in

Summer!
Today's layout looks more like today, that's for sure.
This is actually of the last two days of school this past May. I helped at what was supposed to be a beach-theme party, but I was the only parent who signed up that day (they had a LOT going on and other parents signed up for other things, just not that day). I decided to sort of "dress up" like I was at the beach to help make it a little bit more fun. That meant I had to go to the store and buy a floppy beachy sort of sun hat, and exaggerated sunglasses. I didn't find a shirt or skirt... Mostly I just felt like an idiot, but that's how I remember class parties when I was a kid, so whatever, ha. The kids were seated on their beach towels instead of desks, and we played several rounds of bingo. I had bought prizes and the teacher had some too, and I think they all got two, maybe three, lol.
The second page was the last day of school which was done at noon. I had bought some surprise treats to kick off summer, and I also went to the thrift store several times during May looking for some new-to-her books (contributing to incomplete series' we own) that she enjoys. She got 21 chapter books that day, ha! That would make a serious impact on summer reading! And I always let my kids choose a special treat after the first and last days of school. I used to make a treat, but this week was too busy, so she got a donut and "special" milk, and was more than happy with that, ha.

Winter Wonderland!
Actually, this was for the current SUO Challenge to CASE Christy, and she is a scrapper, so that's what I decided to CASE. I didn't scroll back too far thru her pages, really I was looking for something I had printed the the same direction and quantity as she used. So I picked THIS POST from June. I changed the colors, DP, stamps and added a couple little dots.
Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Evergreens, Whimsical Alpha Lower
Ink: Basic Gray, Smoky Slate
Paper: Basic White, Soft Sky, Basic Gray card stocks, Peaceful Place DP
Accessories: Neutrals Candy Dots
And actually, this is the second time I scrapped these photos, ha. The above layout is for my older daughter, and the one for my younger daughter was done in April and hasn't yet been shared. I used the same pack of paper, but differently, and I used different stamps.
Stamps: Roughing It (1998), Berry Christmas (2009), Just Perfect Alphabet (2010)
Paper: Basic White c/s, Peaceful Place DP
Accessories: Metallic Pearls
I always like that you can use the same layout or supplies and make something quite different from the last.

Softball!
I hope you had a safe and happy weekend, and if you live in the United States, I hope you had a great Independence Day!
Today I have a softball layout! And some memories.
The year I was 10, my mom signed me up for softball and my brother up for baseball. Same city league. He had an actual grown up coach and got a shirt and a hat and this style of picture. I got three 8th graders as coaches (big sisters of some of the team..) They wrote bubble letters in puffy paint on tshirts for our team. The contrast was stark, to say the least. But that was our only year playing this kind of sport. Actually...I took dance a few times but that was the only paid sport for me (that was FINE!). The only thing I remember "learning" was that forfeit meant you have to have enough players, otherwise your team loses by default. (we lost every game except the time the other team had to forfeit.) Also, I don't enjoy anything about softball. Please don't ever throw the ball at me, or expect me to throw it back. I'm not good at batting and I am a *slow runner, ha.
Several months ago, my kiddo informed me she wanted to try baseball. We don't sport at our house, other than some soccer. She never seen a game, we didn't own a single baseball related thing. She has seen the movie Sandlot, but not for a few years... haha! We bought her a ball and glove, and she was on a team that got a tshirt and a hat, ha, and pre-named teams. Her coach was a real grown up, (ha- altho he was younger than I am...) and he did a great job. My kid learned a lot! She improved at all of it! But she didn't love it. It was a HOT season and most of her games were played between 95* and 98*, with the late afternoon sun beating down on all of us. I don't know that she'll do it again, but it's good to try new things!
I created these in the long-retired MDS. I knew I had a softball image there, ha. I "filled" them in with a dot image that honestly looks like scribbled gum drops. I added a little stitching, and the Texture overlay, which makes the edges look like canvas. And I took my colors from her team shirt and her ball. And the season is scrapped!
Supplies:

Stamps: Great Sport, Lemonade Stand dots, Texture
Ink: Basic Black, Barely Banana, Night of Navy
Accessories: Stitching Thread

New In Colors!
Happy stampy Saturday!
Since I finally got my new catalog order, I can play along with the latest SUO Challenge to use the new In Colors! I only chose three of the colors today.
(Also I didn't even get Darling Duckling ink... It doesn't strike me as a yellow I would like and at this point, I'm only buying what *I like most. I do really like the other four colors, altho I never purchased the Strawberry Slush ink pad when it was originally an In Color...)
Supplies:
Stamps: Beautiful Butterflies, Elements of Text
Ink: Timid Tiger, Cloud Cover, Secret Sea
Paper: Timid Tiger, Cloud Cover
Accessories: 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls
I hope you're having a good Saturday and maybe doing something you want to today!

Flowery Note
Today's card is quick and cute! I took the colors and sketch from the Inspired By... blog. I don't think I've ever used this little flower image before so it was definitely time.

Colorful roses
I got a thank you card made!
I don't know about you but I intensely hate cleaning the bathroom. I am deeply grateful for indoor plumbing, but man, oh man ... I hate cleaning it.
We have company coming so it had to be done and it had to be done now... So I bribed myself that if I would hurry and get it done I could make a card, haha!
Today's card combines the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, with the inspiration photo from SUO Challenges. Although I just realized that I accidentally turned the direction of the sketch...
I even know who this card is going to!
Supplies
Stamps: Layers of Beauty, Simply Said
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Country Woods DP, Peach Pie, Basic White cardstock.
Accessories: Watercolor Pencils, Layers of Beauty dies, big shot

Purple Pie Place
Still no time to make something, but time to share something!
This is a hybrid page. I scanned in this long-retired DP for the digital background! It was more than perfect, and I needed to fit a bunch of pics, so that's what I did! I actually then started scanning in all my DP for just such a reason and then stopped after two packs....I need to find a LOT of free time to work on that, ha.
Anyway, we came upon this cute little spot and decided it was a perfect time for a treat, and here's the result!

Pizza & Games!
Look! A post two business days in a row! Crazy! Both are scrappy, ha.
This was a chill night at a motel in South Dakota. Yep- we got personal sized pizzas from Pizza Hut, and then played some family games before bed. But it was a fun evening together.

EEK!
But this week I went to my parents for a couple days and got to play with paper! My mom hoped to get a small stack of Halloween cards ready to go, ahead of schedule, so we did! A bunch!! They're not super fancy, but they're fun and that is the point.
I'll share other close ups another time, but for today, I'm sharing the one I based on the current sketch from SUO Challenges.
That purpley paper is ancient too, ha. It was Marvelous Magenta, and was in my starter kit, 21 years ago, and clearly not my favorite shade. However, it worked well with the current Petunia Pop ink, so that's what we did!

Class of 2025!
We are in the thick of graduation season!
I've had two children graduate, and I've made a number of graduation cards for cousins (my own and my kids') and friends and whoever, thru the years. But this year was the year I had the most graduation announcements come, ever! I really intended to make cards for everyone, but 2025 is killin' me Smalls, so I used cards from my stash, and nobody knows but you...HA.
A few were made with the intent to send to previous grads, but they didn't go out for one reason or another. If you still need an idea and you don't have a graduation-specific set to play with, or know their school colors, here's a few ideas, along with a few graduates peeking out, ha.
It's fine. Everything is fine.

Garage Birthday
Summer is here- it's hot, school is out, people don't wanna do chores..... Here we go!
I punted on graduation cards, (a later post) but this birthday card HAD to be made. I used the challenge from SUO Challenges to CASE the catalog...mostly. I did use strips of DP like the top card, and a couple items in place of the flowers and leaves, ha...
This birthday boy's favorite color is black, so black it is! This will also be arriving late, but I'm sending it anyway, so there! HA!

Magical Day!
This should have been mailed out already, but sometimes you do the best you can and that's all there is. This birthday girl got a blank card from me last year, so I'll be sure to write in this one, even tho it will be late ha. It is almost entirely made with retired supplies, but what does that matter if it's something you like?

Paper Pumpkin for a Picnic
My father in law passed away, and even tho he was 100 (really, really) it was still a sudden downturn, emotions have been high, it involved a lot of drive time and my house is still exhausted. I did pull out stamping a few times but I just didn't have it in me.
Yesterday I decided to make a scrapbook layout.
This picnic blanket paper came from a 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit. I am not a fan of the kit projects but I did think the paper would work nicely with picnic photos! And, by happy chance, there were die cut apples in the kit- which goes along with the picture of my youngest not quite able to eat an apple with a bunch of missing teeth!
Paper: Basic White, Poppy Parade card stock, July 2018 Picnic Paradise PP
Accessories: July 2018 Picnic Paradise PP, Transparent Dots (all retired)
Journaling Font: Century Gothic
And hopefully I'll be able to get more stamping done very soon! There are birthdays and graduations coming up that need cards!!

Make My Heart Smile
I combined the fun SUO Challenge colors, which reminded me of rainbow sherbet, with the latest Freshly Made Sketches.
I also did some heat embossing, which I haven't done in a very long time. Years, I'm pretty sure. It isn't perfect, I wondered if it would catch both layers and it didn't. The greeting is a bit shadowed too, but there's a card, lol!!
Stamps: Layers of Beauty
Ink: Peach Pie, Versamark
Paper: Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie, Soft Seafoam
Accessories: 2024-26 In Color Resin Dots, White embossing powder, heat tool
