Today's card is really bright, haha... But that is okay because it keeps trying to snow at my house, so maybe here's some sunshine? I need a number of birthday cards this week, so that's what I finally played with!
I love this new How Sweet It Is DP from the Occasions Mini, but I think it has to be used in small doses, haha! I wanted to use some of it today, and I thought the latest Mojo Monday sketch was just right! Also, since I picked these rainbow-y stripes, it fits the current Retro Rubber challenge perfectly- and the Jar of Love stamp set is from at least 2016, if not earlier. I picked the flower colors from the DP (and it sounds like a fruit salad on my desk, haha) I've been wanting to play with this pretty ribbon too.
It's not the simplest card, but overall I like it. I don't love the way the jar and the greeting panel line up a little too well, but I'd already done all the stamping and everything before I realized that, so here it is anyway. And I'm pretty sure the recipient won't mind.
Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of Love, Well Said
Ink: Memento Black, Pineapple Punch, Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana
Paper: Coastal Cabana, Whisper White card stocks, How Sweet It Is DP
Accessories: Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green Reversible Ribbon, Everyday Jars dies, Well Written dies, Big Shot, Dimensionals

Hey Love!
Today's card uses a technique I learned at the very first Stampin' Up! workshop I ever attended, waaay back in 2003. Yep. For the Make & Take, we used a stamp set that was all images, and a stamp set that was all words and repeated the word of our choice in Versamark, as subtle "patterned paper". We used one image to go along with it, and we used silver cord, haha! I didn't even realize the metallic thread connection til I typed that sentence! Anyway, back then everything I did was very much considered #simplestamping. I was trying to save money on supplies by not buying them, haha, and saving {hoarding?} what I did buy. I even know who I mailed that first card to.
For this card, I used the latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, and built the card around the stamp set I wanted to play with. This is easily the most Valentine-y card I have in my upcoming class. The colors, the jar of hearts, and the repeated sentiment make it very festive, haha! With all the pink, it is likely going to go to my daughter. But I really like how it turned out and I hope my class attendees do too!
Supplies:
Stamps: Jar Of Love
Ink: Memento Black, Berry Burst, Powder Pink
Paper: Powder Pink, Whisper White & Berry Burst card stock
Accessories: Gold Thread, Dimensionals
annnd a less washed-out view, that is too dark, ha...
Tips-
- I mounted both the "HEY," and the "Love" on the block at the same time and stamped that way.
- I inked the Powder Pink hearts before the Berry Burst. Maybe that's obvious, but maybe it isn't, but it can be important with the clear, photopolymer stamp sets.
- I don't really know how to make thread look good, haha, I just stick Dimensionals all over the back and twist the thread around. Then it's stuck! haha!

We Create: Celebrations Blog Hop
Happy July! No wonder it's so darn hot! July means summer is already 1/3 over at my house, which is both sad, and cause for celebration! haha...
Today's blog hop theme is also "celebrations", and there are lots of celebrations in July! I thought I'd go with birthdays! My first card is a sweet and simple one. I used a TGIF Challenge sketch from a couple weeks ago for the layout, and just quickly stamped a few images from the Jar of Love set.
I even stamped on the inside! -I'm not kidding when I say I almost never do this, it was even a joke at my class last week, haha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of Love
Ink: Memento Black, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Bermuda Bay & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: True Gentleman Buttons, Glue Dots
And then just for fun, I made this cute confetti card idea I've seen on Pinterest and wanted to try! It isn't a specific "celebration" card, but it looks like a party so I think it counts! This time I used the latest from Freshly Made Sketches but I tipped it on it's side.
Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of Love
Ink: Memento Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape, Pacific Point
Paper: Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Basic Black & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Metallic Sequins, Glue Dots
What are you looking forward to celebrating this month? We have a milestone birthday at our house this month, on top of other fun things like state and national holidays! Yeay July!
Hope on over to Cheryl's blog, and then hop thru to see what everyone has created for you. Then leave us your thoughts- everyone loves comments!

Blog Hop: Step It Over Style!
Another month has zoomed on by!
Although, as busy as I was, in some ways August just. kept. going.
My big kids started school and marching band and swim team and soccer...! And the preparing for all of these things and all the other stuff that happens...in some ways I'm looking forward to September to at the very least, get used to all the things. Autumn is my very favorite time of year, plus it might cool off soon!!
Today is also my wedding anniversary!
But YOU are here for the blog hop, so lets dive in to that!
Stamps: Jar of Love
Ink: Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, Soft Sky, Black
Paper: Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White card stocks, Delightful Daisy DP
Accessories: Big Shot, Everyday Jars Framelits, Dimensionals
And then a fun firefly card! I have wanted to make a firefly card since this set was first released and all over Pinterest, so it was about time!
Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of Love
Ink: Black, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy & Whisper White card stocks, Delightful Daisy DP
Accessories: Big Shot, Everyday Jars Framelits, Dimensionals
I love how easy it is to take the same supplies and mix it up to create something completely different! I've said it before- but this is exactly why I love sketches!

Today I chose to go with a "stepped over" project. I used the same package of DP, the same stamp set and dies, just mixed up the colors and the actual stamps. I used the same sketch, from the Freshly Made Sketches blog. I even have a favorite between the two..!
First up, this pink flower card.

Sympathy Flowers
Last week was a hard one. It seemed everywhere I turned I was in need of a sympathy card. I managed to find time to make two {almost} matching cards, and stuck them in the mail too.
I used the current Freshly Made Sketch, retired DP, and the colors all came from the DP. Apparently it is tricky for me to make a bouquet of flowers, but these work okay.
I even stamped on the inside of this one. You can hardly tell, but I used a good one from the Here For You stamp set. The picture I took of the inside came out really blurry, but here you at least see how I stamped inside.
Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of Love, Here For You
Ink: Soft Suede, Delightful Dijon, Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze
Paper: Petals and Paisleys DP, Soft Suede, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Big Shot, Brick Wall embossing folder, Dimensionals

Blog Hop: Stepped Over!
Happy November to you!! The holiday season has arrived!
Today I'm playing along with the Blog Hop and I'm totally feeling a day late and a dollar short-
because I'm sharing a Halloween creation...
....to inspire you next year! Ha!
For a while we've been stepping our creations up a notch, and this time I'm stepping it "over". That means I'm making the same card twice, but once with a holiday spin.
First up, I have this pretty fall card, which I barely got in the mail on time!
(seriously...a day late on everything right now...!)
And for both cards I used last week's Freshly Made Sketch.
Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of Love
Ink: Soft Suede, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze, Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Petals & Paisleys DP
Accessories: Petals & Paisleys Ribbon, Dimensionals
And then for my "stepped over" version, I have this fun Halloween card! I also added a bit to the background by heat embossing the creepy eyes, with clear embossing to make it subtle, and therefore just a little more spooky!
Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of Haunts
Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Halloween Night DP
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Dimensionals
That's all from me today! Thanks for stopping by!
Now hop on thru and see what every one else has created to inspire you!
