Big Thanks!

Today I have a fun couple of cards for you. The stamp set and Metallic Pearls are retiring, and the gorgeous DP is limited-time only and won't be in the upcoming class. I used the sketch from The Paper Players, and the theme from TGIF Challenges for these.

Supplies:
Stamps: Sunny Sentiments
Ink: Stazon Black
Paper: Basic White, Basic Black card stocks, Waves of the Ocean DP
Accessories: Metallic Pearls, Dimesionals

The only difference between the two cards is that I flipped the DP over and used different colored pearls on each.
Quick and fun! Hooray for that! Which color do you like best?
Seriously this paper is stunning, and you do not want to miss out on it!

Cinderella

Happy Monday to you! Another Disney scrap page to start off your week!

So here is a funny little fact. Most of the time I keep ALL of my stamps. But with moving in to my new craft room this past winter, I updated my box of for sale stamps, (some of which is actually linked at the top of this blog). While organizing, I found a few sets that I really never use and added them to my stack.
....then we went to Disneyland. And when I was trying to think of what I might use on this page, I realized I had the perfect stamp, in my to-sell box! haha!

Supplies:
Stamps: Making a Point
Ink: Smoky Slate
Paper: Seaside Spray, Basic White
Accessories: Wink of Stella pen, White Sequins, Silver ribbon
Journaling Font: Dreaming Outloud Script Pro

I mean seriously, a fancy, single high heel stamp? Has to be for meeting Cinderella! I stamped it in Smoky Slate and the colored it with the Wink of Stella pen. I think it turned out pretty fantastic!

Haunted Mansion

Happy Wednesday! Late blogging start to the week, but I have still been scrapping! Here's a fun one using plenty of retired product, ha!

A lonnng time ago, Stampin' Up! sold stacks of colored embossing powder. The stamped images here are all embossed in "green" embossing powder, which matched beautifully with the long-retired Emerald Envy card stock, altho they were not available at the same time.

Haunted Mansion 1
Stamps: Spooky Bingo Bits (retired!)
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Gray Granite, Perfect Plum (retired!), Emerald Envy (retired!) card stocks
Accessories: Heat Tool, Green Embossing Powder (retired!), Regals Candy Dots (retired!), 2016-18 In Color Enamel Shapes (retired!)

Red Tulips

This card is for a friend's birthday. As I looked over my stamp sets and thought of her, all I could think was she loved her red tulips, so that's what it had to be, haha! Since I kept it all red tulips, I used black as the other main color. I also sponged on some sky and grassyness.

Supplies:
Stamps: Tulip Fields
Ink: Memento Black, Pear Pizazz, Balmy Blue
Paper: Real Red, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Black Gingham Ribbon

Any fun plans for the weekend? Maybe some stamping? Remember to mail those cards too!

Here Comes The Sun!

I think spring is on it's way, even tho it has been known to snow around here til June... Honestly I'd be okay with a lot more snow, but since it's mid-March, I'll take whatever rain wants to come instead!

Today's card feels like spring coming after a long winter. I used the sketch from Global Design Project and the color combo from CAS Colours & Sketches to make it. It almost got tossed because the Navy ink smudged a lot when I sponged on some Balmy Blue sky, and I don't even know why! But then I decided it added to the stormy look, *and the weirdest part got covered with the words, haha, so it worked out after all!

Supplies:
Stamps: After The Storm
Ink: So Saffron, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy
Paper: Basic White, Night of Navy, Balmy Blue card stocks, Gold Metallic Paper
Accessories: sponge

Cookie Scrapping

I hoped to get some cards made, but instead I kept scrapping our trip! It really is a lot of fun to scrap and relive all the memories!
This page was actually made a week or so ago, but it uses more current supplies, so I'll share it today. The cookies and the red letters are stamped, but the "cookie" word is a die cut.

Supplies:
Stamps: Nothings Better Than, Calling All Heroes (retired)
Ink: Poppy Parade, Memento Black, Soft Suede
Paper: Basic White card stock
Accessories: Love You More Than dies, Big Shot
Journaling Font: Juice

These Disney pages feel particularly simple but I'm really enjoying them, and my family is too. Most of the time I ask what they remember or thought about whatever I'm working on. I'm trying to record all of it, not just my perspective. And everyone really wants to hurry back!

Simple & Stunning

Did you know that Stampin' Up! demonstrators get to see and often order products before everyone else? Today's cards come from a sneak peek we got, just before I took a trip to the ocean for the first time sooo that hit my priority list real fast, ha. But I hadn't had a chance to try it out til yesterday afternoon! And it is so simple to make a stunning card with this and I think you will love it too!! Which is handy, because you can order it now too!

First, I used the color challenge from Global Design Project to make a very simple birthday card. I've been seeing samples of this gorgeous product suite for a month now and the most commonly used technique is to ink up the stamp as always, but then sponge an additional color or two on top. That's what I did here. Then the greeting is in Garden Green.

Supplies:
Stamps: Waves of Inspiration
Ink: Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron, Garden Green
Paper: Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: sponges

Then I tried the same idea with a different challenge, and one of the dies. This one uses the inspiration photo image from Fusion Card Challenge, and I already used the sketch, haha... I used a couple shades of blue and the gold.

Supplies:
Stamps: Waves of Inspiration
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point
Paper: Coastal Cabana, Basic White card stocks, Metallic Specialty Paper
Accessories: Waves Dies, sponges, big shot

And a bit of a close up with a twisty angle to catch the shine...

So here's what you need to know- Start by clicking HERE to view the whole suite. The stamps and dies will be in the upcoming Annual Catalog. There are two packs of DP (one is a blue foil) and some colored rhinestones that are only available while supplies last or til May 2.

I KNOW I will use it on our ocean scrapbook pages. I am loving it for these cards too!! What do you think?

Wishing Well

Today I have another scrapbook layout for you, of our trip. I'm now up to 33 pages done!

I try to only share things here that I make with all Stampin' Up! products, but a friend gave me some of her crafting stash and this alphabet set (that I know nothing about) was kind of perfect for this layout. Everything else is from Stampin' Up! tho. It makes up at least 98% of my stash.
These pages are really pretty simple. Very little embellishments, really just photos and story, but sometimes you just gotta add something. Liiiike a wishing well stamp with wishing well pages...!

Supplies:
Stamps: Bright Wishes, unknown alphabet
Ink: Melon Mambo, Memento Black
Paper: Crumb Cake base, Melon Mambo mat, Whisper White card stock, Love Blossoms DP
Accessories: Watercolor Pencils
Journaling font: The Serif Hand Black

and here's a closeup of that stamping.

Supplies:
Stamps: Bugs & Kisses (retired! 2006!)
Ink: Poppy Parade, Pacific Point, Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight, Real Red
Paper: Balmy Blue, Poppy Parade, Basic White card stock

Disney Scrapping!

This has really been my focus since getting home from our trip. I am determined to get the entire thing scrapped ASAP, because I live with a house full of people ready to go back, hahaha!

This layout juuust might be my favorite so far! And I've done many so far, haha... I'm 27 pages in!
(and for a quick goal check, I'm at 37 pages and 22 cards made in 2022!) As is most often the case, I used a lot of retired supplies here. All the stamps, all the embellisments and some of the colors are long retired, but it all worked SO well on this page and I just love how it turned out!

Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Pumpkin 7/2015 (teacups), Whimsical Alphabet Lower (2005), Fresh Vintage, Collage Curios (all long retired)
Ink: Calypso Coral, Gray Granite, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder (retired), Pretty in Pink (retired)
Paper: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder (retired), Pretty In Pink (retired), Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: White Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Calypso Coral Ombre ribbon, Subtles Candy Dots (all retired)
Journaling font: Learning Curve

and here's a close up of some of those fun details!

Floral Thanks

And today I have the last of my stamp class cards. Okay, I love this one too, haha.

This one uses the marker to stamp technique. Always color the lightest shade first! In this case, it works out perfectly - do the Crushed Curry centers, then the Blackberry Bliss petals, and finish with the Mossy Meadow stems and leaves! I think the gingham ribbon is the perfect finishing touch to this simple card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Nature's Harvest
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Blackberry Bliss Marker, Mossy Meadow Marker, rushed Curry Marker
Paper: Very Vanilla, Blackberry Bliss & Crushed Curry card stocks
Accessories: Black gingham ribbon

Window Seat

This is probably my favorite card from my upcoming class. I seriously love this stamp set, but I haven't gotten to play with it much at all. I think this is my favorite image from the set. And it's totally perfect for the snowy weather we've been enjoying, and a lot of thinking of others.
I colored her with Stampin' Blends (shown below), and here's your reminder that my favorite Misty Moonlight shade is retiring very soon!
Supplies:
Stamps: In the Moment
Ink: Memento Black, Misty Moonlight, Stampin' Blends
Paper: Basic White, Petal Pink
Accessories: Heart & Home Doilies, Flowers for Every Season ribbon, Wink of Stella, Dimensionals

I also colored the window panes with a bit of Wink of Stella, which is very tricky to photograph, but you can see a hint of glimmer near her head!
What have you loved that you've made recently?
