Guardians Of The Galaxy Ride

Today I have a different style of scrapbook layout for you. Still Disneyland tho! On many of the Disney pages, I have asked my family what kinds of colors they think fit the ride, and gotten their opinions of stamps and fonts, and a lot of input on the journaling. I think I did a decent job capturing the look and feel of this ride with just the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, which is one of my favorites ever.

What used to be the Tower of Terror is now a ride based on Guardians of the Galaxy. I do not like this style of ride, but I was determined to give everything a try, and stick together, haha... My youngest started off scared of the first drop but ended up LOVING this ride and still talks about how fun it was and how everyone should go on it. We did it twice, and I am still not a fan, lol. But that's okay! The pictures turned out really nice, especially considering how dark it got.

Supplies:
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge (retired)
Ink: Real Red, Crushed Curry, Memento Black, Gold Delicata (retired)
Paper: Basic Gray
Journaling Font: Castellar

Peter Pan's Flight Ride

Okay, this month ended up crazier than I expected! But now I've got some things scheduled to inspire you!

Today, I'm back to our Disneyland book(s)...! This page is pretty simple, but I still wanted to share the clean line layout and the fun idea with the star stamps! To get to Neverland, in case you don't know, you "just follow the second star to the right and straight on til morning", so I used two stars together a few times on the page.
Everything here is long retired except the Pear Pizazz ink, lol!

Supplies:
Stamps: Making Christmas Bright (tiny star), Joyful Nativity (long star), For Unto Us (outline long star)
Ink: Pear Pizazz, Delicata Gold
Paper: Certainly Celery
Accessories: Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon, Lucky Limeade Everyday Enchantment Organdy ribbon
Journaling Font: Viner Hand ITC

Here's a close up of the three stars, haha. The gold outline is hard to see in the photo, but it is there and adds a tiny touch of shine.
How about you? Are you surviving the end of school? If you're set, haha, what are you making??

In Color Waves!

Today I have some more of the new In Colors for you. I made these cards to see which way I liked the color combo best for an upcoming card class. Either way- this is a fun set. I love that the words are fun and sincere, especially with the power of the ocean.
Supplies:
Stamps: Waves of Inspiration
Ink: Tahitian Tide
Paper: Tahitian Tide, Basic White, Starry Sky
Accessories: Waves dies, Fine Tip Glue Pen, big shot

I THINK I like the second one best... but really, I am loving anything to do with these waves!
Also, I like the new In Colors and I THINK these two shades are my favorites.

Relax!

Happy Friday!!
It's May.
That means the end of the school year, and figuring out summer and all the things that go with that.
And some "spring fever" where a lot of days nobody wants to do anything in particular, in spite of all the deadlines, etc.
And I'm trying to fit in a card class, mostly with mothers of school children.
Yep.
haha...

So for today's card, using the CAS Colors & Sketches sketch, I went with a quick and simple card. I think it also looks relaxing and that is exactly the point of this one. I haven't used Soft Sea Foam very much because it is so pale, but I felt it suited the relaxing theme today.

Supplies:
Stamps: In The Moment
Ink: Smoky Slate, Soft Sea Foam
Paper: Basic White, Soft Sea Foam
Accessories: White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon, Merry Melody embossing folder, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

Hopefully you get some time to relax! I'm looking forward to it myself, haha!

In Color Tulips!

I finally got to make something so I made two, haha! One is a stamped card and the other is a die cut card, using the same bundle and supplies. The layouts use the sketch from Global Design Project, and I used a birthday greeting because I think the happy colors just say "Happy Birthday!" so it works for the SUO Challenge too.

This super cute set is still available from the Jan-June Mini Catalog, and I definitely haven't played with it enough. So here I am, using three of the new In Colors with this set! The Pebbles are still available with the Mini as well, and they really are so cute!

Supplies:
Stamps: Tulip Fields, Inspired Thoughts
Ink: Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet
Paper: Sweet Sorbet, Basic White
Accessories: Pebbles enamel shapes

Supplies:

Hoping to make some more fun things!

My Favorite!

Good morning and happy Monday to you!
Today I have what is so far, my favorite Disneyland page yet! I just love how all the black and white elements came together for a theater with black and white Mickey Mouse cartoons! I have really been loving how many things I had in my stash for scrapping this trip!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Filmstrip (retired)
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, True Love DP (retired)
Accessories: On Film Framelit Dies (retired), Button Latte (retired)
Journaling Font: Felix Titling

Here's a close up of the fun embellishments cluster:

Hopefully I can play with some new toys this week, but if not, I have plenty more scrapping to share, haha!

Disney Characters!

Today I have two layouts for you. I did a separate page for almost every character we met.
These two are the main characters in Tangled, Disney's Rapunzel movie. And they were some amazing characters to meet! The kids are still talking about Flynn Rider three months later, haha! The title comes from the movie, and that he taught the kids to 'smolder', as shown in the bottom two pictures, haha!

Supplies:
Stamps: Classic Alphabet (retired)
Ink: Dapper Denim (retired)
Paper: Dapper Denim, Sahara Sand card stocks
Accessories: Dapper Denim ruched ribbon (retired)
Journaling Font: Belwe Lt BT

Rapunzel's page was fun too because that "best. day. ever." is an old Sale-A-Bration stamp set I think from 2015, and it's a line she says in the movie! Perfect!
Supplies:
Stamps: Best Day Ever (retired)
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Versamark
Paper: Highland Heather, Basic White, unknown gold
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool
Journaling Font: justbeautifulsimplicity

and a close up to see the shine on the gold embossing...
I also tried to use a different font for every character, to mix things up.

What are you making today?

I am having a crazy week ...month? and I haven't even gotten to try any of the new colors yet. But I HAVE scrapped 115 pages this year (mostly of our Disney trip) so I am going to share some of those! Scrapbooking may not be your favorite way to play with paper, but it is mine and maybe it will still inspire you to get your stamping toys out and have some creative fun!

Today I'll start with this very bright page, which features a stamp set from 2008. My oldest and youngest love trains and this image was perfect for this particular train! Click the image to see it better.

Ink: Poppy Parade

We Create Blog Hop: Flower Frenzy

Can you even believe it's already May?! Neither can I, this year is going so fast, but a new month means a new blog hop so here we go! This month our theme is flowers and since there are so many beautiful flowers to choose from, we're pretty sure this will be a varied hop, haha!

Today I have a bold card for you, using the latest challenge from Inspire.Create.Challenges to use black, white and one other color. Done! I die cut three silhouette style images from the Harvest dies and put them on a sunset kind of color. Also those cute Brass Butterflies! And I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Supplies:
Stamps: Nature's Harvest
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Basic White, Basic Black, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Brass Butterflies, Black Gingham Ribbon, Harvest Dies, Dimensionals, Big Shot

Now hop on over to Cheryl's blog, using the button below, and see what flowers she has used for you today! Then hop on through to see everyone's (we're a small group) and let us know what you think!

And mail out the cards you make!
