Cabin in Winter

One more time with this awesome cabin and this gorgeous DP, because it works so beautifully!
(okay, it's true, there will likely be more...!)
This card was so quick to make. The blue DP looks like a wintery forest behind the cabin. I just stamped it, die cut it and laid it on top of the forest! The greeting is super simple, and I added a tiny touch of the Misty Moonlight/White twine behind it. And I am totally in love!

Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Cabin
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Basic White card stock, Beauty Of The Earth DP
Accessories: Cabin Dies, Flowers For All Seasons ribbon, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

That paper is still on sale, are you getting some??

Autumn Leaves!

Happy Thursday!
Today's card is FULL of my new favorite things! Really really. I told you I was getting to work on these!
I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps along with the color combination from Hand Stamped Sentiments. Except...that the sketch is kind of covered up with all my stuff... and the color combo is a little mixed with whatever the DP had in it additionally...

Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Cabin
Ink: Cinnamon Cider
Paper: Whisper White, Cinnamon Cider, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive card stocks, Beauty of the Earth DP
Accessories: Inspiring Canopy Dies, Cabin Dies, Bark embossing folder, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

I mixed this Beauty of the Earth DP, with these beautiful Inspiring Canopy dies. And I'm already thinking I need to buy another pack of this paper before the sale ends! I need this sheet!! Lots of this sheet! It is beautiful and colorful and perfectly captures all the best things of autumn! I stamped this cozy cabin in Cinnamon Cider, which is a color I love. The cabin is popped up on dimensionals, and the card front is embossed with the Bark folder. So many favorite things!! I hope it didn't turn out too busy, LOL....!

What are YOUR favorite products right now? Are you playing with them?

Christmas In July!

In just a few days, a new Mini catalog is beginning, and as is often the case, my wish list is LONG... haha! We also have a second round of Sale-A-Bration starting Aug 3! Today's card features stamps, dies and ribbon from the Mini, and DP from Sale-A-Bration! And I finally got to play with it!

I also used the sketch from The Paper Players, and the theme from SUO Challenges

Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Cabin (Upcoming Mini)
Ink: Shaded Spruce
Paper: Basic White, Real Red, Basic Black, Shaded Spruce card stocks, Peaceful Prints DP (SAB only!)
Accessories: Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Cabin Dies, Wink of Stella, big shot (retired), Dimensionals

The dies are part of my FAVORITE bundle in the Mini. I have so many ideas for this bundle...I have to get going on it! I didn't realize the ribbon was so thin (narrow), but I love it anyway. And this DP is absolutely my favorite Sale-A-Bration product! I still have a long list of more products I reeally want, but until then, I'm excited to keep showing this stuff off!

Peaceful shades...

Today I have a pretty card, but actually I think it could work for a guy too. I used the color challenge from Color Throwdown, and this unique sketch from the Global Design Project
The DP sale is still happening through the end of the month and this paper is lovely. You can see it all HERE. As soon as I saw the catalog I knew I was getting this pack! And I didn't even know these two prints were part of it, haha.
I just trimmed the DP into half inch strips, and then I taped it together, haha. That layer is popped up on Dimensionals, and the greeting is too.

Supplies:
Stamps: Sunny Sentiments
Ink: Crumb Cake
Paper: Crumb Cake & Basic White card stocks, Beauty of the Earth DP
Accessories: Flowers For Every Season Ribbon, Metallic Pearls, Dimensionals

I really like this color combination actually. This is what stamping is about - making pretty things that bring peace and joy to others. Or yourself sometimes, haha. And that is okay!!

Summer Trees!

This card was actually made last week with all the others, but I never got around to stamping a greeting and taking a picture! It's been a long, busy week!

For this card, I was inspired by the current Inkspirational Challenge. Amazingly, I'm not too late to link!

I actually used two stamp sets here, but you can't see one of them, unless you look very closely. I wanted sun shining behind the trees, but the trees covered up the rays, haha! Oh well.... I ran the trees die through the Bark embossing folder to add some texture and detail. I also sponged on some sky and some grass. Finally I layered up three colors of tree leaf die cuts, scattered all over the trees!

Supplies:
Stamps: Inspired By Nature, After The Storm
Ink: Soft Suede, Balmy Blue, Pear Pizazz, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Basic White, Sahara Sand, Pear Pizazz, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green
Accessories: Inspiring Canopy, Bark embossing folder, Dimesionals, Big Shot (retired), Sponges (retired)

Birthday Colors

I needed to make birthday cards this week, and the second I saw the color challenge from Sunday Stamps I KNEW I was using it. I just had to pick a stamp set to go with it, lol! My son's favorite colors are orange and blue. His bedroom has an orange wall, and a blue wall! And his birthday is today! This could not have been a more perfect match, haha!
I based my card off the sketch from the Fusion blog, tho my greeting is on a square instead of a circle.
Supplies:
Stamps: Sailing Home, Sunny Sentiments
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Basic White
Accessories: Dimensionals

Got any crafty plans for the weekend? I think I have birthday and project plans.... but crafting would be fun! haha!

Pink Flowers!

Today's card is decidedly not mailable, and that's okay because it will just have to be hand-delivered, haha! It was also more time consuming than most things I create, but really, it was just running the dies a few times.
I used the Festive Friday challenge of Friendship Day for my card. Specifically I chose
- friendship sentiment
- ribbon
- pink
- glitter (Opal Rounds have flecks of glitter in them, and I used Wink of Stella on the word "friend")

This die set is intended to make dandelions but I felt a big pop of pink would work too. It could be a marigold or any fuller-style flower, right?
Supplies:
Stamps: Lovely You
Ink: Soft Succulent
Paper: Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon, Dandy Wishes dies, Opal Rounds, Wink of Stella

I'm loving these new In Colors, and that ribbon is so soft and pretty!!

More Strawberries!

Yesterday I made several cards, and I'm starting with this one! I used a different red and green this time on the berries.
I'm pretty sure this will be part of my next class. It's happy and summery and I love it!
This one was intended for the SUO Challenge to make whatever I wanted, and I made a thank you card to fit the challenge from Inspire.Create.
Supplies:
Stamps: Sweet Strawberry
Ink: Real Red, Just Jade
Paper: Just Jade & Basic White card stock, In Good Taste DP
Accessories: Strawberry Punch, Flowers For Every Season ribbon, Dimensionals

That cool DP is still on sale, thru August 2nd, so don't miss out! What are you making this week?

A Triple Page Layout

It's been a little while since I shared any scrapping, so that's what I'm doing today!

This layout (three pages long!) was for a challenge which required me to use the color red (card stock, ribbon, ink, and a red house in the photos!), "love" in the title, and a quote. The quote is a stamp that says "life is a beautiful ride". I think everything on these pages is retired except the card stock, but that's what I use my retired stash for!

Supplies:
Stamps: Taffy Alphabet, To Have and To Hold, Beautiful Ride (all retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Deck The Halls DP (retired)
Accessories: Resin Hearts (retired), Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon (retired)

Then, since that photo is so small, here's some close ups.

AND, the layout is for MY books, which doesn't happen often enough!

A Color Challenge

Happy Friday!!
While looking for challenges to make cards with, I knew immediately I would use this brand new stamp set with the Color Throwdown color combo. This isn't a set I've seen other stamp bloggers use but I absolutely loved it. I take pictures of the sunset at least a few times a week, and sunrays are one of my favorites. (see below. hahaha....) I also love rainy days, and I send a lot of thinking of you style cards, so this set will get a lot of mileage. It also works perfectly for the Global Design Project theme of "sky".

For the color challenge, I used two different grays to add depth, and two different yellows. I sponged a bit of Daffodil Delight to lightly fill in between the rays and in the corner where the rays are coming from.

Supplies:
Stamps: After the Storm
Ink: Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Memento Black
Paper: Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Stamping Sponge

But I also wanted to play with this other new bundle, Inspired Thoughts. I am a sucker for tree sets, haha. This was the first order my mom got from the new catalog and I hadn't gotten to play with it yet. I noticed that little circle die could be a yellowy moon (or sun) behind the trees and hey! This same color combo would work great with this set too!! Yeay for new toys! There's hardly any stamping, but I really like how this one turned out too.
Supplies:
Stamps: Inspired Thoughts
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Basic White, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight card stocks
Accessories: Inspiring Canopy dies, Dimensionals

It's fun to see the versatility of things. What have you made this week?
Oh, I almost forgot- I was going to share my favorite sunrise/sunrays picture that has been my phone's background photo since August.

Strawberries!

I haven't had a ton of crafty time this summer, but I have been itching to play with Poppy Parade. I don't know why- I only just got that ink pad a couple months ago and it's been around a while! Maybe the record breaking heat is getting to me, haha, (It's about 20 degrees hotter than normal this week) but I finally used it, with this cute stamp and punch set!
I combined it with the latest from Freshly Made Sketches, albeit a bit awkwardly. But I think it worked out anyway.

Supplies:
Stamps: Sweet Strawberry
Ink: Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green
Paper: Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Basic White
Accessories: Strawberry Builder Punch, Blender Pen, Dimensionals

One of the strawberry's center stamps was stamped off once, and it's leaf center was too. The other was fully inked. And the leaves behind the berries were colored using Blender Pens to pull the freshly-stamped ink in and fill it in just a little. It adds just a little bit more depth than is already there with the DistINKtive stamps.

We Create Blog Hop: School Daze

August already?? Holy cow the year is flying by! But, another month means another blog hop for you, so here we go!

Our hop theme this month is however we interpret "School Daze". Appropriate because we have one "real" week of summer left and then school swallows up everything else!
Anyway, I looked over my stamps and the only thing that came to mind was this brand new Sale-A-Bration stamp set and "Mary Had A Little Lamb" ...haha, so that's what I did!
I made it a birthday card because I need a bunch of those! Also, again, this gorgeous Beauty of the Earth DP is still on sale through tomorrow! So of course I used a bit more. I thought the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches worked perfectly!
This cute stamp set will be available to earn FREE, on August 3rd.

Supplies:
Stamps: Counting Sheep
Ink: Memento Black, Old Olive, Bumblebee marker, Cinnamon Cider marker
Paper: Bumblebee, Old Olive, Basic White card stock, Beauty of the Earth DP
