Different way to color...

I was asked to make some thank you cards. I love this flower, is it a lily? Well, I think it is, lol, and it seems to me it is a peaceful kind of flower. I was having trouble coloring it with ink and blender pens so I tried a sponge. FUN! So quick and its pretty and has that blurred watercolory look too!

Beautiful Love

I LOVE this card. Its about the same design as, oh, every card I make with this Eiffel Tower stamp, but this one is distressed and I used lace and different accessories. I may use this card in an upcoming class, but this exact card was put with a stack of wedding cards that was ordered.

Sparkly Valentine

This is the make & take card from Saturday's workshop. I try to provide a card that is seasonally appropriate. This one could be given to a significant other, but also to a mother, sister, friend or child. Its quick and simple, but I think its pretty cute!

Thankful Bird

This is a combination idea! I demonstrated the wheel and DP strip on a Peach Parfait base in October or whenever that was. On Saturday I used Pear Pizazz for the base instead, and added the cute little bird! Perfect demonstration to feature Stampin' Up! tools!
Stamps: Bright Blessings jumbo wheel
Ink: Chocolate Chip ink cartridge
Paper: Pear Pizazz & Very Vanilla card stocks, Sunny Garden DP

Punch Potpourri Set

I've had this set for a couple months I think, but have had hardly any time to play with it. So I got these cards made and completely love them!

This first one uses the Mojo Monday 174 sketch. It is also a variation on a card in the demonstrator magazine Stampin' Up! sends us every month. Such a cute idea! You stamp the little flowers in any classic ink color and use the blender pen to fill it in.
Stamps: Punch Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Early Espresso
Paper: So Saffron & Very Vanilla card stocks, Autumn Spice DP (just retired)
Accessories: Early Espresso Taffeta ribbon

And then this card is simply because I was asked to make some wedding cards. I thought this heart might make a cute accent- it does! I stamped the heart in Bashful Blue ink and then used a q-tip to color the subtle flower petals pink with the Pastels. LOVE!
Stamps: Punch Potpourri, Warmest Regards (retired)
Ink: Bashful Blue
Paper: Bashful Blue & Whisper White
Accessories: Stampin' Pastels, White grosgrain ribbon, Bitty Buttons, Mini Glue Dots

Birthday Pages!

Here is the page I showed at today's workshop. When I demonstrate scrapbooking I try to keep the pages simple. You can still feature your photos and preserve memories without piling on accessories or whatever. In this case, its the final page of a birthday from a few years ago. Just showing people who came to celebrate. Later I will add the journaling...
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, Just Perfect alphabet
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Pretty in Pink & Whisper White card stock, Pear Pizzazz dsp
Accessories: Mat Pack, Jumbo Brads

A Spring Card!

I don't know about your neck of the woods but I am tired of snow. So very tired of it. And the single digit temps. That could end too. So how about we pretend its spring with our creating?! I am alllll over that!!
Stamps: Pick a Petal, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz
Paper: Pear Pizzazz & Peach Parfait card stocks
Accessories: Brights Buttons, Linen Thread, Mat Pack, Word Window Punch

At my workshop last weekend, the girls really liked this stamp set in the catalog, so here's a sample with it for you! These petals are my favorite to use. I just do two petals straight across from each other until I've made a circle. Then I cover the center with something. Usually a punched circle, but a button is cuter!

Another question I got last week was how to use the mat pack. You can poke holes in these little dots, or, you can do this:
Make dots with a marker, and then draw the little lines to make it look like stitching! (yes, its called faux stitching).

So! That's me continuing my workshop a week later! Did you learn anything? how do you like the ink on my fingers? haha....

A french flair

Today was a pretty good, kid activity, playtime and two members of my family even got a nap! Since it was quiet for a little while, I decided to go make some birthday cards for my January birthday list. ahem. I missed..... LOL!

so insteeead...I made these cards with Jen's January SFYTT sketch:

Why are there two? Well...the sketch is square so I was going to do that. In my head I thought 4x4 but when I cut the card stock decided that was too small...and made a 5x5. But then...I wondered, what am I going to do with that sheet of burgundy? Ehh, I decided to just use it too! So you get a two-fer!

Stamps: Artistic Etchings, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Basic Black, Crumb Cake
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Paper Daisies, Neutral Buttons, Victoria crochet lace

Dance Recital!

Here are the pages I showed at my workshop this past weekend. I made the second page a head of time and demonstrated page 1. I featured the Glimmer Paper from the mini, the Glimmer brads, and stamping on textured card stock.
The glitter polka dots are a little funky but I was mimicking the costume.

Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Just Perfect Alphabet
Ink: Basic Black, Real Red
Paper: Textured Whisper White, Real Red, Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Glimmer Brads Brights, Mat Pack, 1 3/8 inch circle punch

Demo'd card

I had a workshop on Saturday and this is one of the cards I demo'd. I was able to show the Watercolor Wonder Crayons (which have got to be one of my favorite products), clear-mount stamps, and our fun rub-ons from the new Occasions Mini.
(sorry for the poor quality photo- its snowy!)
Stamps: Greeting Card Kids

New Products!

If you've seen the new Occasions Mini, you've seen all the brand new and really fun craft supplies available! There are so many things for Valentines, Easter, Mother's Day, birthday and more. I intend to have a lot of fun with the coming months!

For my first order, I got this fun Glimmer Paper. You only get two sheets, but I'm pretty sure I'll only use it as an accent. In this case- some glittery hearts!
The little XOXO is a rub on from the Love Impressions rub-ons. Want to hear somethign great? I didn't order it...Stampin' Up! sent one of sheet one to each demonstrater who places an order this month! YEAY for freebies!
And another detail on this card is that I used white grosgrain ribbon, and dyed it with Real Red ink refill! Handy little trick for finding just the right color of ribbon!

Stamps: None!
Ink: Real Red ink refill
Paper: Real Red & Basic Black card stocks, Glimmer Paper
Accessories: White grosgrain ribbon, Love Impressions Rub-Ons, Heart to Heart Punch

I am one of those people who really enjoys setting new goals and making to-do lists. I welcome the new year (or the new school year, or whatever) to start fresh and assess my life and where I can improve. If you spend much time in the blog world, you'll know that a word for the year is a popular concept. I've thought about doing this for the last couple years and then this year came to a strong conclusion that my word would be TIME. And I decided to scrap it. I may put it on my wall to keep my focus, we'll see...

Two random good things about this layout- it is probably the first ME layout since I got married. I scrap just about everything, but nothing is about just ME. Also, I have my standard page layouts and then I play with sketches, but I've never been inspired by something to make a page out of it. This page? I copied the layout from a loading internet screen. hahaha!

a little detail...Smooch spritz is more than a little unpredictable, but I still like it, lol!
Stamps: Sense of Time, Vintage Vogue, Taffy Alphabet - retired
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
