Valentines!

Did you have a happy Valentines day? Ours was great! Here is a myriad of this year's Valentine cards!

This is a quick one I threw together for my son's lunch box. I forgot til that morning!

These are the ones my mom made and sent us! This made me laugh...I saw how many valentine sets at the store came with pencils or stickers or whatever so I thought I'd let my son choose his own valentines instead of me making them for him. Ha! As he was finishing these up, he said "Mom, next year can I *make* my valentines??" giggle! I think I raised that boy right!

And here are three of the five valentines my girly made. She was so proud, and it was the first time I let her use glitter.

It almost killed me. *grin*

"pre-made" thank yous...

One of the things I am doing with my kids this year is for them to send many more thank you notes. I made up a selection of 'pre-made' notes for them to write something short on, but still get thank-you's sent on time, and still be able to show appreciation for people, and get to stick something in the mailbox just from them! :) Can't beat that!

Thankful Jar

What are you thankful for? We have started a little Thankful Jar in our family. It was intended to be a countdown to Thanksgiving, but I received it late, and besides, I think it should continue thru the entire holiday season. So each morning my kids are taking turns drawing out a slip of paper with a reminder of something we are thankful for, and a way to express their gratitude. Today's selection said "I am thankful for my cousins! Write a letter to one of your cousins!" ...only problem is my kids have a LOT of cousins. In fact, a good number of who they consider their cousins are actually the children of their first cousins. :) LOTS to choose from! They each chose three cousins to make a card for....and look how fun it was!
But....their choices left out a little one whose older siblings would get mail...and I didn't want her feelings hurt! So I threw together a Thankful card for her! It is extremely simple, but hey, she's a very small girl!
Here are the three cards my son did. He wrote and filled the insides. Yeay for cousins!

Holiday Quiz

yeah, like, which holiday is it? Valentines of course! haha! I had these pictures printed so I thought I'd play with them before my Christmas class supplies start arriving! I think the stamp I used is a little bit out of the box, which is such a fun thing to do... I used bits (tiny bits!) of scotch tape to cover the "thank you" word inside the hearts! This page also qualifies for a challenge to do at least 100 words of journaling. There was a story to tell here so that worked fabulously!
Supplies:
Stamps: Very Thankful, Classic ABC Numbers (retired)
Ink: Basic Black, Real Red
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Real Red Striped Grosgrain ribbon

Stamps By Mail Kit!

Saturday is WORLD CARD MAKING DAY! Did you know? Do you have a plan? Well, I have other plans actually, but I LOVE the idea...!

In honor of World Card Making Day, I am offering my own Kit! You can order the stamps and markers and I will cut your paper/ribbon supplies and mail it to you. You'll be ready to make 12 quick thank-you cards any time you want! (three of each) Thanksgiving is coming up soon, and that's a really nice time to send thank you cards...

Added bonus? Buying this set sends $2 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities!

So! Here are the cards you will make...

And for only $45, you'll have the stamps and markers to use as long as you like, plus the supplies -and instructions- to make 12 cards instantly! (If you were to buy the markers and stamp set another time, with shipping costs it would be just over $38)

Just let me know if you're interested in this cute little kit! I will put the order in on October 15th.
