Green River

Happy Monday to you!
We are going on a big fun trip so I wanted to scrap the last big fun trip before that, ha. I've got about 1/3 of it done so far, but that's something!

This first layout was done in the long-retired MDS, then printed, then I die cut the letters for the title and glued it all down! I love MDS for fitting a BUNCH of pictures on a single layout.
Supplies:
Paper: Always Artichoke card stock (retired) Everybody's Business digi recolored to Always Artichoke
Accessories: Mini Alphabet Dies

The alphabet dies are new to me, and this was the first go. I have been wanting them a while...but also hesitating because how tedious is it to cut out allll the extra letters I may never use?? (this is why I haven't bought alpha stickers in actual decades...) The first run I used a sheet about the same size as the die. But this card stock is retired, which means I have a bunnnch of scraps. This pack happened to have a number of strips that were just the right width! Handy!! I tore off strips the length of the letters I needed and voila- no extras! (there were extras, lol, but not when it got down to the end) Anyway! If you're on the fence too about this die- here's my solution for you!
Also, I used the green liquid glue or the fine tip glue pen to adhere all those letters, haha!
I hope you're off to a great new week!

Bright Scrapping!

Happy Monday to you!
Today should be busy at my house. So I've got a quick, easy scrapbook layout for you, featuring some current DP! I really like this paint swatch look, but it's kind of busy for my style... But it worked nicely in this layout!
These photos have been printed for yeears, literally collecting dust in a shoebox, waiting to be scrapped. The alphabet stamps are pretty old too.
Supplies:
Stamps: Alphabet Attitude Lower (long retired)
Ink: Melon Mambo
Paper: Full of Life DP, Melon Mambo & Basic White card stocks
Journaling Font: Ink Free

Another Easter Layout

Happy Monday!
I have a simple layout for you this morning. All of the paper here is current, which is not typical for my scrapping. The butterfly stamps are current too! The title stamps, and the dots are not.
When this girl was little, her favorite books were the little Beatrix Potter books, which is exactly what this paper looks like, so I had to get it. And then I didn't use anything particularly Beatrix Potter on her layout, lol... Its still super pretty!
Supplies:
Stamps: Beautiful Butterflies, Taffy Alpha (retired), Classic Alpha Numbers (retired)
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow
Paper: Pool Party card stock, Storybook Moments DP
Accessories: Classic Matte Dots (retired)

Here's a close up of this fun paper. I'm still debating on the stamps and dies..... The whole product suite really is SO cute!!
And here's the sheet of die cuts. There are actually two of these sheets, which is fun!
What are you making today?

Scrapbooking Kit!

So I *am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and I do have a few customers who order from me. As such, I will try out the new products if I feel they can be useful to me- ideally, so that I can point customers in that direction and answer their questions. When Close To My Heart closed their doors last year, Stampin' Up! purchase the remaining inventory and offered a deal to their Makers to join us. And Stampin' Up! decided to step back into carrying "official" scrapbooking products.

You know I've been using Stampin' Up! products almost exclusively for my scrapbooking for the last 22 years. Why not use quality and coordinating paper, ink, and alphabet stamps if nothing else- but most of their "regular" stamps work perfectly too!!
But there have been a few of these new scrapbooking kits that I have been interested in. When this one hit the Last Chance Products list, I decided that was a perfect time to give these kits a try and see what I think. I also snagged some of the Two-Tone card stock packs, altho mostly because there was a discount on 12x12 card stock, which is how I prefer to scrapbook! As I write this, this exact kit, Two-Tone card stock, and more are currently on the Last Chance Products you can find (and order from!) right HERE.

So let me show you what I cranked out the other morning, in the space of about an hour. I had selected my photos and this kit and that's all I did ahead of time. I didn't follow any of the kit instructions (helloooo Paper Pumpkin kits!) but I had fun using a bunch of little coordinating things on these pages. And the only thing I "added" was inspired by the kit. Even "suggested", if you will. ha!

These are all the same photo shoot, and they may have needed scrapped for several years... The supplies all came in the same package, but the pages still feel different!
On these two single pages, I cut the base in half at the 6inch mark, and flipped the top to the other side of the Two-Tone card stock. It's subtle, but it adds a bit of interest!

Supplies:
Autumn To Remember Scrapbooking Workshop Kit, Glue Dots
Old Olive ink, Blending Brush, Pattern Party Decorative Mask (retired)
(Crushed Curry, Petal Pink & Old Olive Two-Tone card stocks)

The only thing I added was that I pulled an old (retired) Decorative Mask and added a bit of Old Olive ink on the second page of the double, behind the photos. The idea came from the paper stripes in the kit, but it's just a thin paper, meant to be an accent, so I didn't know if it would hold up to the Blending Brush or not. The masked worked just fine. Everything else came from the kit!

And in case it sells out before you get a chance to click on the kit, here's what comes with it, so you can decide if that's worth the cost to you.
First the suggested layouts have a complete photo so you can see what you'd end up with. On the bottom of that front sheet, it tells you to select specific photos, which is cool actually.
Then it shows you exactly how to cut each sheet to get all the pretty prints on your pages!
Then it comes with all these pretty supplies:
The pretty paper- the top corner are single sided, the lower set are double sided and I showed both sides.
The top two sheets are die cuts. The smaller wood sheet is die cuts. The bottom right corner are stickers. I like all of them.
And this is the card stock that is included in this kit.
It even has photo place holder cards if you want to just make up the kit but don't have photos for it yet. Personally I don't do that, but maybe that's what works for you.

Finally, this is the Two-Tone card stock pack that coordinates, which I got, and stashed in the same pack as the kit!
It was worth it to me, even tho the last thing I need is more "pretty paper", hahaha! I have soo much in my craft room...!!

2025 Calendar 1

I hope your Christmas was safe and happy.
Now I can show gifts I made! ha!

This year I only made one calendar... I'm kind of burned out making them, and MDS is so out of date and buggy and so I made the easy one, because it's just my family and I don't have to find photos of all of my nieces and nephews, etc. So these pages are all for my FIL.

Rollercoaster Activity

This is SUCH a busy summer here! I hope you're finding a little crafty time!

Here is a page I made a couple weeks ago, of another library activity. This one was a chance to learn about rollercoasters, and they provided some supplies to try and make a rollercoaster for a marble! My kids' worked but not when the judge was watching, darnit. ha.

Whole lotta Zoo

Hello again! More scrapping for you today!
A few years ago, we took our kids to the zoo for the first time in over a decade. First time for the youngest.
I think we got a photo of every single animal we saw. It's not a huge zoo, but it does take most of the day to see it all... And that doesn't include all the other photos we took. For some reason that utterly escapes me, lol, a few months later, I printed a STACK of photos of this day. And I printed three sets so each child gets it in their book. That is a dumb lot of photos for one day...! Sooo these photos have all sat in their little shoeboxes of photos, making me feel overwhelmed and uninterested in scrapping them. ha.
Until last week when I decided it was time to put them to paper for at least one of my kiddos! I had selected the DP within a year of printing the photos, and then used pretty much all the zoo animals my mom and I have.
(We won't talk about how many days it took me to put these NINE pages together. ahem. But we will talk about not printing that many photos of a single event that isn't Christmas, ever, ever again. And we'll question printing that many for Christmas too!)

Supplies:
Stamps: Wild About You (2006), Noah (1996), Zoofari (2007), Gorgeous Grunge -all retired
Ink: wild: Flirty Flamingo, zebra: Memento Black, giraffe: Delightful Dijon, lion: More Mustard, elephant: Pebbled Path, Penguin: Balmy Blue, snake: Parakeet Party, camel; Cinnamon Cider, deer: Moody Mauve, alligator: Cucumber Crush, sheep: Chocolate Chip, birds: Melon Mambo, rhino: Pebbled Path, monkey: Pecan Pie, leopard: Mango Melody, splash: Soft Sky, bear: Seaside Spray - many retired
Paper: Cucumber Crush, Basic White card stocks, 2015-17 in color envelope paper -retired
Accessories: Alphabet a La Mode dies, Glue Dots, big shot

And at least that set is done!
(and no, I didn't use every photo I printed. A few went into her photo album, which is where not scrapped photos go, lol!)

Happy Scrapping!

I am absolutely in love with this Kiddin' Around Suite! This is the most basic way to use it in a scrapbook page, but I think it turned out cute.
I don't even know who took these pictures of my daughter laughing, or why, but I thought they were so happy and that it should be scrapped! So I added some strips of these cute kids having fun, and a couple happy phrases from the stamp set.
The tilted layout is inspired by my Scrappy friend Cheryl. Tho I guess it was originally from pagemaps. You can see her original layout HERE
And side note, I use my retired products specific for scrapbooking. So even though the focus is on this brand new product suite, there are still some retired items here.
Supplies:
Stamps: Kiddin' Around, Seasonal Snapshot 2015 (long retired)
Ink: Berry Burst
Paper: Basic White, Berry Burst card stocks, Just Kiddin' DP
Accessories: Silver Metal Edge Tags (long retired), Berry Burst baker's twine (from a PP kit), 2016-18 In Color Enamel Shapes (long retired)

Disney Parade

Since I mentioned this parade last week, I should probably share it, haha! We actually saw some of this pass three days before, while we were in line for I think Alice In Wonderland, but we didn't have any idea what it was, lol. We were excited to figure it out, haha, and catch a spot near the beginning! This was a great way to see a variety of characters, because when we were there they were still all roped off, waaay more than six feet away from us. This is the same parade Anna was part of, and she was in the bus on the top right corner, with a bunch of other princesses.

Tomorrowland - How to travel!

Happy Saturday! Oh my word, are we gonna make it thru this month?! I am *not sure! But here for now, we are with what I believe is the rest of Tomorrowland!

This page is quick and simple.

Supplies:
Stamps: Skinny Mini Alphabet
Ink: Real Red
Paper: Pineapple Punch, Berry Delightful DP
Accessories: Red 1/8 striped ribbon
Journaling Font: Arial Narrow

And this next page is actually a hybrid. Most of the page was created in the long-retired MDS, but I don't have a single digital car image and I DID have stamps, so I printed the page then added a bit of cardstock with stamped cars at the top. And the layout came from HERE

Autopia: MDS (retired)
Stamps: Let's Get Away (long retired)
Ink: Fresh Fig (retired), Gold Glimmer (retired), Perfect Plum text
Paper: Red Glimmer, White, Black
Accessories: Perfect Plum brads
Journaling Font: Copperplate Gothic

I hope that YOUR weekend is relaxing! I might relax later this week... we'll see!

Tomorrowland - Sci-Fi!

Happy Saturday! Our trip to Disneyland is really close to done, but has been left far on the back burner (literally, against the back wall of my desk, ha!) for a while. Maybe after graduation I can go back to scrapping a little of everything instead of being focused on one topic.... But we'll see what summer holds!!

In the meantime, here are a few simple pages that were all back to back. Our last morning in Disneyland we started at Tomorrowland and hit most of it! Today I'll just share the sci-fi parts.

Supplies:
Paper: Misty Moonlight, Basic Black
Accessories: Iridescent Pearls
Journaling Font: Space Bd BT

Supplies:
Paper: Basic Black card stock, World of Good DP

Actually we did Star Tours our first night in Disney, but it fits with these pages better, haha.

Other Scrapping

Posts about scrapbook pages are not usually that popular, but I have been sharing a lot of our Disney trip, and really, the whole reason I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is my passion for scrapbooking. I am still working on Disney, it isn't done, and I haven't even shared half of it here yet, haha... But at the moment, my focus has switched to scrapping as much as I can of my daughter's life, before she graduates in 70 days (yes, she's counting down) just like I did for my son.

My kids have albums throughout their lives. They each have their own shelf on the bookcase, and they each have a bunch. (my oldest has more than my youngest, which is probably obvious, even tho he was born back with film cameras, ha! So she has more photographs in existence...) But I am a recorder, and I am raising recorders, haha, and we have maybe millions of photos. My kids all still have a shoebox of printed photos. I add to this, but I try to scrap these photos, rather than just store them in the shoebox, haha. And yes, even after they graduate, I add to their books, lol... But for NOW, I want to get my daughter's school events done, especially her high school years. And while I'm at it, I am scrapping photos that have been printed, gathering dust in her shoebox.

So we'll switch gears for a bit and share a super simple couple layouts that use the most recent Sale-A-Bration DP. This was one packed day of fun over Spring Break several years ago, so the pages match.

Supplies:
Stamps: Whimsical lower, Whimsical Numbers (long retired)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Blushing Bride card stock, Dainty Flowers SAB (retired)
Accessories: Glitter Enamel Dots (long retired)
Journaling Font: Modern Love Caps

I started by just trimming that flower page in half, but I liked it better trimmed around.

A Carousel

Today I have another Disneyland layout for you. This week marks a year since our trip and I really am not done scrapping it.....! But I have been working on it again this week, so that's a plus.

With this page, I remembered an old 6x6 pack of carousel themed DP I owned, and sure enough- it was a great match! That's all it is- some DP and photos! And I think it's a pretty page just like that!

August 2023 Calendar Pages

Happy Saturday to you!
Today I've got the August calendar pages, from the Christmas gift we give our parents every year.

First the page for my inlaws, which just has our own little household:

and then the page for my parents and siblings, with as many of them on there as I can fit!
Obviously I went with hot colors for these pages. Is it hot at your house?? It's not here! We had a few little snow storms come thru yesterday and it's supposed to snow most of the weekend.

Stay cozy, friends! And make something pretty!

Halloween 2019

Halloween is only one week away so I *might do a theme this week....

For today, I have this layout I did last week. I am super happy there is a package of black card stock for a hot minute in the July-December Mini!
As is often the case with my scrapping, everything else is very. long. retired. The stamped little girl image was one of the first clear-mount sets I bought, and the alphabet was given to me from a friend, and came from before I ever heard of Stampin' Up!

Supplies:
Stamps: Greeting Card Kids, Alphabet Attitude Lower, Alphabet Attitude Numbers (1998)
Ink: Tangerine Tango
Paper: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Metallic Sequins, Glue Dots
Journaling Font: Dreaming Outloud Pro

These are the Stampin' Blends I used to color the cute little girl:

Halloween 2020

I wasn't planning on sharing more scrapping so quickly, but I decided to make a layout to go with the SUO Challenge of "Halloween" and use the perfectly Halloweeny color challenge from The Paper Players! It worked perfectly to scrap a tiny Halloween party we had in 2020.

Supplies:
Stamps: Scary Cute, Alphabest
Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, Memento Black, Crushed Curry
Paper: Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Basic White
Accessories: Gingham Ribbon, Circle Dies, big shot

So, the truth is, those are pages 1 and 3 of a set. This is the page that actually goes between the two above, but it has no stamping and the others do.
And yes, you can peek into our Batman themed bathroom there, hahaha!
And here's the journaling, explaining the photos. lol. It was a weird time!

"Halloween 2020 was an exasperating time, not knowing exactly the risks vs the reality of spreading covid by trick or treating. Mostly I felt okay about it, but I couldnt shake the nagging concern. We decided it was best to skip trick or treating if there was any doubt. Instead, we had a small Halloween party, and did a little bit of at home trick or treating! Dad was in our bedroom, -- was in --s bedroom, -- was in her bedroom, -- was in the basement, and -- was in the pantry! -- got to knock on all the doors and got a treat at every one and had SO much fun! We also played some games before the teenagers left. Dad, -- and I had pizza for dinner and watched two Disney Halloween cartoons."
