Collage of things

This page was made with My Digital Studio software and is totally inspired by a scrapbook page in the demonstrator magazine. You know, the starter kit is available for a discount thru Sale-A-Bration, which ends tomorrow! One of the fun perks of being an independent demonstrator is the magazine they send each month full of crafting ideas as well as business tips.
Also, since its the end of Sale-A-Bration, don't forget that if you purchase the MDS software, you'll get the SAB add-on disk FREE!

Have a birthday!

My daughter went to a birthday party and didn't want to make the card herself. This is the card I put together, using a sketch I found on splitcoaststampers.com. I was having issues getting the ice cream scoops and cone to line up right, but after three tries remembered this card is for a 6 year old and it really, really doesn't matter! LOL! The greeting ended up smudging too, darnit.

Supplies:
Stamps: Sweet Scoops (retired)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake
Paper: Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Fancy Flower Punch, Black grosgrain ribbon, retired buttons

A few years ago I was more involved on Splitcoast and participated in the birthday card sending. I haven't done that in quite a while, but I got this one in the mail from someone anyway! It was funny becuase I had just claimed my favorite color was red, and it was the kind of day that this card was exactly what I needed....
Supplies:
Stamps: Morning Cup
Ink: Basic Black, Riding Hood Red?
Paper: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red? Patterns DP
Accessories: Ribbon Thread Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, White grosgrain

Completed pages!

These are the pages I demonstrated at my workshop last week. I just completed it this afternoon. I was inspired by the scrapbook page in the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog on page 104, but I used Upsy Daisy instead.

Demo'd Card

Here's the card I showed to feature clear mount stamps, watercoloring, tone-on-tone stamping and a couple accessories.

I'm not completely sure if the square works with two torn edges but that's okay. *smile

You know what's great about gathering with crafty women? Teaching each other! Of course I hope to teach someone something new at each of my events, but the people who attend teach me too! For example, I have been having problems getting my clear-mount stamps to stick to the block. I don't know why...so I mentioned that it seems no one else is, but I am. One of the ladies there suggested windex because that's what she uses with her kids! Great!

ETA: I forgot to include the supplies incase you were interested!
Supplies:
Stamps: Nature Walk
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, More Mustard
Paper: Crumb Cake, More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Crochet Lace, Vintage Trinkets, Mat Pack
