Just Love It!

Okay, after yesterday's happy card being just a little sub-par, THIS one I am seriously in love with! I was a little stumped because I am lacking a variety of ribbon at this time, and wasn't sure which DP would look best as a thin strip. Then I decided this would work out the best and ohmygoodness I can't even tell you how much I love it! I used the CAS sketch and then added just a bit of subtle color...

Birthday Butterflies!

As soon as I saw this sketch I knew the card was going to be a happy one! I am mostly pleased with how it turned out, but I don't love the way the butterflies by the greeting look a little too random. Oh well... its still a cute birthday card! *smile!

Ink: Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals
Paper: Primrose Petals & Whisper White card stock, Patio Party DP

More Scrapping!

The screen saver on my computer is just all my photos, randomly showing up for about 5-10 seconds each. The other night, my kids sat in front of my computer for a good 20 minutes watching the photos and reminiscing. I'm thinking they need more scrapbooks to look at!!
I didn't want to pull out all the supplies, because I was tired and didn't expect to stay up much later, plus I had just tidied up the house for the night, lol! So I pulled up My Digital Studio...and ended up scrapping two pages just for me, LOL!!!
These pages feature my wedding anniversary, from this month, haha!

Mojo Thursday

Today I got some time to stamp! I played with a few sketches and this is the first one I'm going to share.

I used the Mojo Monday sketch and wanted to use the Eiffel Tower stamp for the focal image. But, I wanted to throw a new color in to this set- every time I use this I use shades of black/gray and crumb/espresso/suede, and occasionally a shade of burgundy/cherry cobbler! So even tho there's plenty of Crumb Cake in this card, the white and the Midnight Muse make a difference. And I love the difference!
Supplies:
Stamps: Artistic Etchings
Ink: Midnight Muse, Crumb Cake
Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse
Accessories: Neutral Buttons, White Organza Ribbon, Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots

Card for a guy!

The final card from yesterday's class flipped the rectangles on the sketch to the other side. I used some great elements for a guy card so this works as a male birthday card or father's day, or whatever you may need. However, for the first time in my demonstrator career, I did use a retired item....the DP was retired this summer! gasp!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Tool Shed, Lovely As A Tree
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso card stocks, Well Worn DP (retired)
Accessories: Denim Ribbon, Natural Buttons, Linen Thread

Mojo Scrapbook!

That's right! This week when I was thinking about how to use the Mojo Monday sketch, I thought it would be a fabulous scrapbook layout! I just had to find the right photos! I am so darn happy about how nicely this turned out, AND I got some photos scrapped from last summer! (which means someday I can work on photos from this summer, LOL!) Bonus: I used some retired supplies, thus clearing room for more!! Hooray! haha....

Supplies:
Ink: Island Indigo marker
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, So Saffron card stocks
Accessories: Paper Daisies, Brights Buttons, Regals Brads, 1 3/8 inch circle punch

Another day I'll work on page two, but for now, there's this. Enjoy it, and get some of your own scrapbooking done! *grin!

Bright birthday!

Today's card (for the class) is a bright one that would suit anyone, but maybe leans more toward masculine. Which is fine becuase goodness knows I always wish I had more on hand for little boy birthday parties! I tipped the sketch for this card and I'm really happy with how it turned out!
Supplies:
Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Island Indigo, Chocolate Chip markers
Paper: Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Real Red thin taffeta ribbon

Card #2

Obviously I kinda took the summer off of my business. Certainly I took the summer off of holding classes, with the kids home. And since its been so long since I spent much time stamping I needed an easy kind of way to get back into it. Also, I wanted to do something different with my classes...I've stuck with basic techniques for a little too long.

So while designing the cards for Friday's class, I was struck with a fun idea! I've seen lots of classes and even blog posts where a person uses the same few supplies, or the same stamp set and creates a bunch of different projects. Well, I chose to focus on the power of a sketch! The first card I made used Jen's SSFYTT so I thought, why not continue that with the rest of the cards?!

So! here is Card #2 using Jen's September Sketch, and this is the simplest card of the class I think!
Supplies:
Stamps: Make a Cake
Ink: Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse markers
Paper: Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse & Whisper White card stocks, Patio Party DP

Birthday Flowers!

I finally had a chance to sit down and create the cards for Friday's class! (Are you coming??) But since my poor blog has been so neglected in recent weeks, I'm breaking it up into separate posts!

Today's card uses Jen's SFYTT for September. Every year I start off with a goal to participate with all of her sketches and as you can guess, I have missed. lol! But here's one more done and I love how it turned out!
The card class is a birthday themed class, with some obvious birthday cards and then a couple that you can use for a birthday, or you might choose it to use for another occasion. And that is why I have not stamped a greeting on this card.
Supplies:
Stamps: Summer Silhouettes
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive
Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder card stocks, First Edition DP
Accessories: White Taffeta Ribbon, In Color Patterned Brads, Mat Pack

Let me know if you're coming on Friday so I can prep supplies for you! Hope you get to stamp this week too! Its so much fun! *grin
