Old Stash

I've got another page from our Disneyland trip for you today!
Most of these trip pages are all about fitting as many photos as I can but still being able to tell the 'story' around it. That means that in most cases there's not a lot of room for papers and embellishments, besides maybe a quick strip of ribbon or something. However, for this page I used a fun, layered look, and a bunch of really old stash!

Supplies:
Paper: Certainly Celery, Park Lane DP, Wildflower Fields DP,
Accessories: Friends & Flowers Simply Scrappin', In Color Printed Brads, Old Olive Mini Chevron ribbon
Journaling Font: French Script MT

This page might not look at all significant to you, but one of our favorite family movies ever is The Happiest Millionaire. We probably bought the dvd before any of our kids were born, and someone puts it in at least ten times a year. But not a lot of people in our circles have any idea this show exists! (It is on Disney+ if you have a spare 2.5 hours) The opening scene is a song called Fortuosity, which is the name of the shop behind my kids, and they played that song as we entered the parks every day. All the kids were super excited that it was a thing, so it had to be scrapped!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Happy first day of summer!
I'm going to start the summer off right, haha, by sharing a scrapbook layout with you! Another from our Disney book. This page was mostly done for a little while, but I finally found that train track wheel at my mom's house and finished it off! The stamps are all long retired, but the paper and ink are current!

Supplies:
Stamps: Choo Choo, Just Perfect Alphabet, Right on Track wheel
Ink: Garden Green, Cinnamon Cider, Cajun Craze, Gray Granite, Basic Black
Paper: Garden Green, Cajun Craze, Basic White
Journaling Font: Hobo Std

I actually forgot to add in the journaling that the ride kept being closed throughout this trip too, which is why it took til evening of the last day for us to finally get on it!

A do-over!

So, today I have a different idea for you. I hold card classes roughly once a month and sometimes, things come up and people aren't able to come after they planned to. This first card I first shared HERE on March 30, to feature several retiring products.

But I had two cards worth of supplies prepped and I still needed a few more Father's Day cards...so I used the exact supplies (ink included) but different, now current stamp sets and made these!

Supplies:
Stamps: Campology, Waves of Inspiration
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Smoky Slate
Paper: Smoky Slate & Basic White card stock, In Good Taste DP
Accessories: Flower For Every Season ribbon, Dimensionals

And also, I used words that meant we could use them for birthday or other cards later if they aren't selected for Father's Day this year!

Happy Father's Day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Alphabest, Well Said (retired)
Ink: Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet
Paper: Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet
Accessories: Best Label Punch, Dimensionals

Ranunculus Romance #3

And I'm back with another card with Ranunculus Romance! Some elements stayed the same, some are different, but I think the bolder colors make it feel like a very different card. What do you think?

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance
Ink: Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet
Paper: Sweet Sorbet, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Ranunculus Dies, White Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, "I" block

This is the most simple of this set of cards and I am really loving these new In Colors!!

Ranunculus Romance #2

When I first pulled out Ranunculus Romance, I had a number of color combinations in mind. I pulled the inks and card stocks to try them all but I ran out of time, lol. But I got another chance to play so I made basically the same card with slightly different colors, haha! Also I ran this panel thru my favorite embossing folder too.

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance, Inspired Thoughts
Ink: Soft Seafoam, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Seafoam, Basic White
Accessories: White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon, Basic Pearls, Timeworn Type embossing folder, Ranunculus dies, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

Boy Graduation

Happy Monday to you!
Today I am showing a fun kind of card. This could easily go for a Father's Day card (which is Sunday!) but *I am using it for a graduation card for my nephew! I just got this Campology stamp set, but I have been eyeing it for a year now. So I used the TGIF Challenge sketch, combined with the color combination from Color Throwdown, and I am very happy with the result!

Supplies:
Stamps: Campology
Ink: Garden Green
Paper: Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Garden Green
Accessories: Linen Thread, Timeworn Type embossing folder, Dimensionals, big shot

Girl Graduation

I don't often post on Saturday, but today I'm playing with a challenge, so it works out. I used the sketch from Global Design Project, which is simple and pretty.

This card is for a niece who has just graduated. I don't know her school colors, but the outfits she wore for her graduation pictures were kind of exactly Mint Macaron and Cajun Craze, haha, so that worked for me! Once again I used the inked-block method (same block this time too) as a light background for the shape of the sketch. I actually "stamped it off" before stamping it onto this piece of Basic White card stock. Then I added the only small flower I own right now that is current! goodness! Then I added the tiny star bursts from the Nothing's Better Than stamp set, and punched out a greeting. Opal rounds were the final touch!

Supplies:
Stamps: Lovely You, Nothing's Better Than, Inspired Thoughts
Ink: Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, Bermuda Bay
Paper: Mint Macaron, Basic White
Accessories: Opal Rounds, Lovely Labels Pick A Punch, Dimensionals, "I" block

Spiders!

Today's page is simple, but definitely captures the idea behind the ride! And then I wished I hadn't done it! Ha! I am really not a fan of this spider image. My mom owns the stamp set, and it was my idea, but ewww....!!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Wonderfully Wicked, ABC-123 Sketch
Ink: Real Red, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red
Journaling Font: Astonished

Ranunculus Romance!

I have wanted this bundle since the mini came out, but it took me til just this past week to finally order it. (You might want to too, because the bundled discounted price ends June 30!) But since the products carry on in the new catalog, I'm going to keep playing with them FOR. SURE.

Today I focused on Pale Papaya and Gray Granite with this bundle, and then I added in some Soft Succulent. And it totally works for the latest SUO Challenge which is a theme of flowers!

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance
Ink: Gray Granite, Pale Papaya
Paper: Gray Granite, Basic White
Accessories: White Crinkled Seam Binding, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance, Inspired Thoughts
Ink: Gray Granite, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent
Paper: Gray Granite, Basic White
Accessories: Soft Succulent Open Weave ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

There's a little bit of a technique here. For this first one, I started with sponging Gray Granite ink onto the white card stock. Then I inked the "I" block in Pale Papaya and stamped that down. Stamped the flower in Pale Papaya, die cut it out and popped up over the Papaya blocked ink. The other images were stamped in Gray Granite and it was all added to Gray Granite base.

The second card was done the same, the only difference is the Soft Succulent ink and ribbon. And the flower was stamped off once on scratch paper before stamping it here. Simple, but I think it's all very pretty!

Winnie The Pooh!

I haven't shared a lot of the digi pages I've made for this trip, partly because I am having fun showing really old supplies, haha! But I loved the scenery on this ride and I looove that first photo and I love how this layout turned out! Actually, the photo layout feels a bit wonky, but I liked how the colors worked and the cute bee. You can click on it to make it bigger.

The bee image is a digi stamp and I just used the oval punch to roughly fill in the body a brighter yellow. Just a bunch of copy/paste, plus some journaling.

When the paper matches!

Happy Monday to you! I hope your week is off to a great start! Today I have another page from our Disney trip, and this one is pretty simple.
These photos were taken one evening just before we left. But if you can click on it to see it more clearly, the pattern on Goofy's pants matches this DP almost perfectly. And the paper is at least ten years old! The buttons also match Goofy and are a different old, haha!

Supplies:
Paper: Soft Suede card stock, Manchester DP
Accessories: True Gentleman Buttons
Journaling Font: School Teacher

Hoping to create more fun things this week!
