Butterfly Birthday

Happy Monday! Ready for a new week?
I told you I needed birthday cards right now, haha, because here's another one for the SUO Challenge! This time I used the great sketch from Inspire.Create.Challenges and dug into the WABAC for a whole lotta retired supplies. One ink and the card stock is all that's current. But I needed some soft blues and a pretty butterfly, and this worked great.
Supplies:
Stamps: Happiness Abounds, Strength & Hope (both retired)
Ink: Pool Party, Soft Suede (retired)
Paper: Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Every Day Enchantment DP (retired)
Accessories: Paper Pumpkin Twine (retired)

Pretty page!

I did it! I said I'd spend this week scrapbooking, so here it is, Wednesday, and I completed a whole page! LOL! I am seriously in love with this page actually!
Supplies:
Stamps: Strength & Hope, Vintage Vogue
Ink: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip marker
Paper: So Saffron, Baja Breeze card stocks
Accessories: Paper Daisies, Subtles Buttons, Linen Thread, Basic Pearls, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

and a detail shot...
I used the butterfly from the Strength & Hope set, which is almost gone- you only have til the 30th to order it, AND donate $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Fund!

Also, for inspiration, I have a tale: I have been trying to clean out my office/craft space. In so doing, I decided it was probably time to go thru my boxes of Stampin' Success magazines...since I've been getting them since 2004. (the magazine Stampin' Up! demonstrators get every month with ideas, techniques and tips!) I literally went thru every issue from the first few years, keeping only pages of projects I would like to recreate. So this page is based on the scrapbook page on this cover:
(and yes, in the top corner it says November 2005!!!)

What have you made today?!

Another Sympathy...

Today I got a little time to craft but am now feeling quite subdued. I tell myself all the time that I should just make a stack of sympathy cards so I don't have to when I need one...and I don't ever do it. I hate sympathy cards. But, I needed one today so this is what I put together.

I used the August SFYTT Jen posted and went for softer, muted kind of colors. I don't know if a butterfly is quite...what I wanted here, but its a pretty and peaceful image sooo I suppose it works. also, I only used one retired product on the card so there you go.
I even added a touch to the inside...because I do not know what I am going to say....
Supplies:
Stamps: Strength & Hope, Thoughts & Prayers
Ink: Baja Breeze, basic Gray
Paper: Baja Breeze, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, retired ribbon

In other news, don't forget that you only have until the 31st to buy this lovely butterfly set and send $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

For today's sympathy card I was going for something pretty and bright to literally brighten the person's day. funny how the wide strip seems to make the card wider than usual... I love this card tho!

This card uses the Clean & Simple sketch, found HERE. (just wish that sentiment had come out straight!)
Supplies:

July Newsletter Information!

Here's an excerpt from my stamp newsletter I email each month:
  • You’ll want to know about the new hostess rewards program! Now when you host a workshop, you earn hostess dollars. These dollars can be spent on the exclusive hostess stamp sets (now with a listed price- but only purchase-able with hostess dollars) or any products in the catalog! Once you reach a $400 workshop, you can choose items for 50% off!
  • The starter kit has been updated! If you’re interested in running your own business, or simply getting a discount on your crafting supplies, joining Stampin’ Up! is a great idea. There are two standard options listed in the back of the catalog. But during July there’s a mini starter kit promotion available! For only $99 you can get a smaller starter kit, start your own business, join my team AND get a free Christmas Keepsake Project!

The best part of “New Catalog Season” is a chance to play with new products! I will be holding an open house from 3-5 PM, on July 9th, at my house, and everyone is invited! Come when you can, stay as long as you like! Here’s some of what you’ll get to see and do:
· A quick Make & Take, using new In-Colors and new products!
· 17 retired stamp sets for sale that day- some long-retired!
· New catalogs to peruse and purchase!
· A completed scrapbook made from My Digital Studio, and printed thru Stampin’ Up will be on display!
· Booking Incentives! (a free gift to anyone who sets a date to host a workshop with me!)
· New samples to inspire you!
· Information on upcoming classes and events!
· Yummy treats!

*I am also hoping to start up a new Stamp Club. This is when you commit to spending a given amount each month for a set period of time, and one of the months YOU are the hostess! If this interests you, please let me know. The number of club members determines the monthly cost...

And here's a fun, summer kind of card! I used Jen's July Sketch For You To Try to make this card, and the beautiful Strength & Hope stamp set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Strength & Hope
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery
Paper: So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Whisper White

New Products!

After yesterday's retiring products, how about some new things? My order was so exciting and I can't even show you everything yet! We'll start small.... hee hee....

So today's card uses a stamp set out of the summer mini that is brand new to my house. Its the Strength and Hope set, which is extra special because $2 of every sale of the set (or digital kit!) goes toward Breast Cancer Research! A good cause is a good thing to me!
The other fun thing here is the newww color of purple card stock! Its a very soft shade called Wisteria Wonder and to me it looks like grape bubble gum right out of the wrapper.
Supplies:
Stamps: Strength & Hope, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Wisteria Wonder
Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Accessories: Artichoke Seam Binding, Basic Pearls, Word Window Punch
