Wizard Birthday

Ugh- it has been a month of sickness around here. A week of migraines for me, a week of two sick kiddos, and then a week of me sick! RUDE. Hence a lack of doing anything at all, especially creating.

I did get one card made yesterday, using the latest CAS Colours & Sketches. Well... it says to put the sentiment in the middle, and I did...with a bunch of other things too. But I am seriously loving this bundle and I love what I made here:

Postage Thank You!

Happy Monday!
I'm back with more of that Detailed Dogwood stamp set, (because we're even closer to the end of Sale-A-Bration 2024) but this time I chopped it up with postage stamps! I used the colors from Color Throwdown for this one and it's already gone out in the mail!

Supplies:
Stamps: Detailed Dogwood (Sale-A-Bration), Perennial Postage
Ink: Sweet Sorbet
Paper: Crumb Cake, Basic White
Accessories: Linen Thread, Perennial Postage Dies, Dimensionals

I did scoot the cut paper in the die, to trim off one of the edges from the top larger rectangle, to make it fit better in this grid. It's not perfect, but I like it anyway.

Floral Birthday

Sale-A-Bration is fast coming to an end! Have you placed your orders and gotten your freebies? Don't forget the extra's they added in February! Let me know if you need help placing an order, so you don't miss out!

This is my favorite of the Sale-A-Bration exclusives this year- making this card perfect for the latest TGIF Challenge. It is also a gorgeous floral, making it perfect for the SUO Challenge, ha! And the colors make it perfect for a special person's birthday card! Maybe you can see the dragonflies stamped in Blackberry ink on the Blackberry card base? It is dark and trying to storm today so taking a decent picture was a trick.
Supplies:
Stamps: Detailed Dogwood, Enjoy the Rhythm (the birthday greeting)
Ink: Memento Black, Blackberry Bliss
Stampin' Blends: Bronze, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light & Dark Blackberry Bliss, Light & Dark Old Olive
Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Early Espresso, Basic White
Accessories: Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo, Glue Dots

Its Your Birthday!

I needed a card for a little girl and really, this set is so perfect! The color combo from The Paper Players, combined with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches worked beautifully! I kind of had to sneak the Smoky Slate in- but I used it to ink the edges of the rectangle with the girl.
Supplies:
Stamps: Kiddin' Around
Ink: Memento Black, Berry Burst, Smoky Slate
Stampin' Blends: Light Petal Pink
Paper: Bubble Bath & Basic White card stocks, Bright & Beautiful DP
Accessories: Watercolor Pencils (Early Espresso, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Rich Razzleberry-retired), Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Berry Burst ribbon- retired from a PP kit

Happy Scrapping!

I am absolutely in love with this Kiddin' Around Suite! This is the most basic way to use it in a scrapbook page, but I think it turned out cute.
I don't even know who took these pictures of my daughter laughing, or why, but I thought they were so happy and that it should be scrapped! So I added some strips of these cute kids having fun, and a couple happy phrases from the stamp set.
The tilted layout is inspired by my Scrappy friend Cheryl. Tho I guess it was originally from pagemaps. You can see her original layout HERE
And side note, I use my retired products specific for scrapbooking. So even though the focus is on this brand new product suite, there are still some retired items here.
Supplies:
Stamps: Kiddin' Around, Seasonal Snapshot 2015 (long retired)
Ink: Berry Burst
Paper: Basic White, Berry Burst card stocks, Just Kiddin' DP
Accessories: Silver Metal Edge Tags (long retired), Berry Burst baker's twine (from a PP kit), 2016-18 In Color Enamel Shapes (long retired)

Another Paper Pumpkin!

This kit came February 2023 and I finally got it done AND sent out a handful too!
This kit is unique in that each card is a window card on the front, and the rest of the scene is inside the card. They're super cute cards but to be totally honest, I don't love that it leaves NO room to write a message....I ended up flipping it over and writing it on the back, so do that before you add rain drops!

I did make two of this rainbow card ages ago, but I cut off the front frame/window parts. I made both of these last year:

And these I made this past week. This was made exactly how it was designed.
Of these, the center was made as designed, the others left off the epoxy rain drop stickers... and also these use stamped greetings from other sets, rather than the kit.
And of these, the first is made as designed. The other two, I left off the green hill, and the third I put a duck instead of a bunny, because I'd used the bunny on the card last year. And again the third used a different stamped greeting.
And here's what is left over for whatever else I decide!
Paper Pumpkin kits really are worth their price, and come with a stamp set and ink you can use for endless projects! And if you sign up now, you can earn FREE Sale-A-Bration items with a prepaid 3,6 or 12 month purchase!

Paper Pumpkin again!

I am in need of a few specific cards, but I really haven't had a lot of time to spend stamping. This is when those stack of old Paper Pumpkin kits are so helpful! The kit I chose to play with first arrived December 2017. ha. I did make all of one of the two original cards, and mailed them out already. But I had plenty more to play with today!

First, to finish up that first design, I made this:
It had originally been a window card with die cuts out of the Crumb Cake, and the leaves had been die cut backwards, so they sent two sets of the leaves. I layered a correct one and a mistake one on top of a freshly cut Crumb Cake base and voila!

Then, I made the second set. I'm guessing I hadn't before because it isn't a mail-able size and I really mail just about every card I send out. So I made the original design, but stuck it on a standard sized Berry Burst base instead. I did trim the glitter paper (behind the PeekABoo Peach stripes) so that I could use it elsewhere... like on the card above! And I trimmed the greetings "to size" instaed of using the whole strip.
And then I was left with this much!
Adhesive strips, envelopes too small to mail, Calypso Coral squares, one more sheet of leafy die cut, white squares, glitter strips, flagged strips, ribbon, twine, and stamps! The ink spot was long since given away because I had the full size ink pad.
That means, today I altered all five cards from the original, found and trimmed my own card bases, and got all five done in just under an hour. And I'm calling the kit COMPLETE. Not too shabby!!

Supplies:

2024 September, October & November!

Since I opted to share the calendar covers by themselves, I'm finishing off the whole calendar in this post.

For September I usually do a back to school theme:

October is, of course, Halloween themed:

And then November was all about family:

And that's the calendars we gave our families this year!

Across the miles!

Happy Friday! I think we made it!!
Today I have a card that combined the latest sketch from Global Design Project, and the color combination from Color Throwdown. To make the globe, I inked it all in Crumb Cake, and then used a sponge to add some Garden Green ink to it. It was done randomly, but it worked out pretty nicely for where the world is primarily green vs brown, haha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Watercolor World, Sending Smiles
Ink: Garden Green, Crumb Cake
Paper: Boho Blue, Crumb Cake, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Real Red & Burlap Ribbon

We Create Blog Hop: Sweet Deals

Can you believe we're already a month into this new year? Because I cannot....
But, a new month means a new blog hop, and here we are!
Today I'm featuring a couple great ways to get a "Sweet Deal" with Stampin' Up!
First- this great bundle with the postage dies and ten greetings! I am always in need of greetings. And I love postage, haha. I love mail, I love buying stamps, it's just fun for me! And this set has 9 sizes of "postage stamps", plus a few extra details! What's not to love?? The best part is that when you order a bundle, you're saving 10% right off the bat!

But also, I've said it before and I'll say it again- Sale-A-Bration is THE best time to place an order, or host, or join as a new Demonstrator! Why? Freebies, freebies and more FREEbies! And today I'm showing off one of the Sale-A-Bration exclusive sets - Detailed Dogwood. It is beautiful! And it's FREE with an order of $100 or more (before tax and shipping). That's about the cost of two great bundles!

SO today's card shows off the second biggest postage die, a lovely greeting, some pretty flowers, and for a bit of direction, I used the inspiration from TGIF Challenges to do a fun pink and red "watercolory" look.
Supplies:
Stamps: Perennial Postage, Detailed Dogwood
Ink: Memento Black, Sweet Sorbet, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo
Paper: Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Black Gingham Ribbon, Perennial Postage Dies, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

I actually tried three times to get this background. Finally, I put the Flirty Flamingo ink pad directly onto the largest acrylic block, all over it. Then I dabbed the Melon Mambo ink pad randomly. I edged the block with the Sweet Sorbet ink pad. I spritzed it with water and laid the block onto some Vanilla card stock and this is what I got when I cut it out! I think it's pretty and unique, what do you think?

Now use the button below to hop on over to Kimberley's blog and see what she's created for you! We have some new hoppers this month, so be sure and welcome them with comments!
