Daisy Birthday

Here's a sweet and quick card I am considering for an upcoming class.
Supplies:
Stamps: Enjoy The Rhythm
Ink: Moody Mauve
Paper: Basic White, Wild Wheat card stock,
Accessories: Moody Mauve textured ribbon, 2023-25 In Color Dots, Dimensionals, Glue Dot, retired circle dies, big shot (retired)

Tip: It's one small strip of ribbon, folded in half. I stuck a glue dot between the ribbon folds, then used scotch tape to attach the folded ribbon. I usually use scotch tape to attach ribbon, haha. Then I stuck a dimensionals on either side of the ribbon.

Fireflies!

Today's card uses the color combo from As You See It Challenges. I am extremely happy with how this card turned out. I don't know that I would have paired Mossy Meadow with Melon Mambo but I like it!! I also liked the depth to the grassy look here, just stamping off the inked stamp til it needed more.
Supplies:
Stamps: Lighting the Way
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo
Paper: Mossy Meadow, Melon Mambo & Basic White card stock
Accessories: Dimensionals

Kidding Around Suite!

Soo, I've been a demonstrator for nearly 20 years. Which is just mind-blowing... But that means that between my mom and I (my mom introduced me to Stampin' Up!), our stamping collection is EXTENSIVE. (one might use the word "ridiculous...") And sometimes that means I'm not so excited when I first glance thru a catalog because sometimes...how many leaves and flowers can one possibly own? (you don't want the answer to that, actually)

But are you kidding me?? I saw this set, and in spite of the fact that my mom and I each have a (long retired) stamp set of children playing, and I have at least one set of toy stamp images, this was on the MUST GET NOW list. And the coordinating paper?? Aaaahhhh! I'm gonna need a second pack!! Immediately I thought of seriously maybe a hundred scrapbook pages I could do with these!
There is a sheet of kids dressed up. Check.
Kids baking? Check.
Kids playing outside? Check!
Kids reading?? Check!!
Kids with pets? Sometimes!
And kids crafting. CHECK!
And the cutest little spaces for them to play?! YES PLEASE!
And that doesn't even touch me thinking of the birthday cards that could be made!!

So, this isn't the best card I've ever made, but I wanted to pick a few things my nephew loves for his birthday card. The inside says "so do some of your favorite things!"
Supplies:
Stamps: Kiddin' Around
Ink: Tahitian Tide
Paper: Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight, Just Kiddin' DP
Accessories: Classic Matte Dots

For real- if you have kiddos in your life, this Product Suite is pretty darn perfect!

2024 July & August

July is usually one of my favorite pages to do.
This first page, every photo came from the morning of July 4. I also recolored the paper, it's usually multicolored, but I made it all blues!

The photos from this page below span the year, but I still kept a July look for it.

This time the August trip page did happen in August, haha...
and most of these photos came from a family even in August too! handy!

Thank You Wave

A Saturday post with a card is unusual for me, but I played with a lot of challenges and need to make them fit! haha!
This time I played with the Color Throwdown for a pretty Thank You card. I used a Blending Brush to pull the pink into the sky for a sunset, and the greeting is stamped in red. I also stamped the wave off a second time just a bit to the side to add some depth.
And wow, I have got to get more current "thank you" stamps!
Supplies:
Stamps: Waves of Inspiration, Sending Smiles
Ink: Starry Sky, Flirty Flamingo, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Basic White & Flirty Flamingo card stocks
Accessories: Starry Sky Metallic Ribbon, 2022-24 In Color Pearls, Dimensionals

Also, total side note- Sale-A-Bration is a great time to make sure you're stocked up on your favorite In Colors that will be retiring in just a few months! I love Starry Sky and have it's ink pad, refill, card stock pack, and these embellishments too!

Birthday Wave

Today's card is very clean and simple but I love the way the colors worked. Also, I love this wave and need to pull it out more often!!
This time I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, and combined it with the colors from Global Design Project
Supplies:
Stamps: Waves of Inspiration
Ink: Lost Lagoon
Paper: Gray Granite, Poppy Parade & Basic White card stock
Accessories: Festive Pearls, retired circle dies, big shot (retired)

and a quick tip for you- personally I like to save paper. Possibly ridiculously. So in this case, I cut another scallopy circle out of the big one I needed for this card. I keep all the scraps in the plastic sleeve the card stock comes in, so its just there with the Poppy Parade til I decide to use it next.

Bright Flowers

Yesterday I got another small stack of cards made, so I'm set for a minute, haha!
Today's card is bright and happy! Quick and simple too- which is what I'm best at. ha!
For this one I used the latest SUO Challenge for the colors. I got them all on there without even owning the cute DP they took it from! I kept the layout very clean and simple, stamping the greeting directly on the card base. But I think it's pretty great for a January birthday card!
Supplies:
Stamps: Sending Smiles
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Petal Pink, Pool Party
Paper: Pool Party & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Classic Matte Dots

Valentines + Sale-A-Bration!

I made a few cards yesterday, so here we go!
This DP was the first thing I got with Sale-A-Bration and I played with a few variations of the patterns until I settled on one.

here's the winner, haha...
For this one, I used the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches, along with the challenge from Festive Friday, with red, foiling, {gold}pearls, love sentiment and hearts!
Supplies:
Stamps: Stamped with Love
Ink: Real Red, Memento Black
Paper: Flirty Flamingo & Basic White card stock, Most Adored DP (Sale-A-Bration only!)
Accessories: Red & Burlap Ribbon, Festive Pearls, Dimensionals

And, I think I'll use this one at an upcoming class, and maybe let people choose which papers they want to combine!
Want to see them all?

Thanksgiving layout

After Halloween comes Thanksgiving! This is also a different year than the jack o lanterns or Easter, haha.
I can't remember how old this DP is, and I know it doesn't use Merry Merlot, but I decided the card stock was close enough. And I like the corn and the apples. The ink I used also does not coordinate with that paper, although the Cajun Craze washi tape does. But coordinating is not the same as matching and in this case I think it all works. And if it doesn't, she's really the only one who will see it so it's fine

Supplies:
Stamps: Skinny Mini Alpha
Ink: Pebbled Path
Paper: Merry Merlot, Orchard Harvest DP
Accessories: Old Washi Tape

Jack-o'-lanterns

Happy Monday! Sharing some more pages I made last week.
On to the next holiday in a completely different year, haha... I think this paper was from 2016, and I really love it actually. And that's literally all I did for this page.

Supplies:
Paper: Halloween Night Specialty
Accessories: 2016-18 In Color Enamel Shapes

Simple and quick is great because it didn't take all day and I got it done, haha.
And when I did those 17 pages, my real goal was to use up patterned paper. So I would select an event and go find a paper that would work with it and glue it down! Done is done!

2024 May & June

Today I have the May and June pages to inspire your creating.

For May, I put the mom's on, and this page has the a few major events.

My kids don't love when I put things in a month it didn't happen, but we wanted a page of our trip to South Dakota, and the paper I chose worked for June best, even tho we went in September.
then dad's (and grandpa) with their kids for June for my parents.

Easter Pages!

I really am hoping to make some cards very soon, but in the meantime, I did get 17 pages done this week. I am SUPER excited about that.
I have a small shoebox for each kid of photos I print whenever the mood strikes and the price is right. Then I scrapbook as it interests me, haha... Well, this kiddo has ONE set of printed photos left after I got done this week. Yeay!! And I used almost entirely long retired stash which is always a good thing. Ahem. But I keep it FOR my scrapbooks, so it's fine.

As far as showing it off here, we'll start at the beginning of a year, ha. Here's an Easter.

Hybrid Scrapping!

Hybrid is when you do some digital and add some traditional elements. I definitely did that for these layouts. Yesterday I talked about the convenience of making one digital layout and printing the same thing several times for each person in the family. Today I have a set, haha.

Perhaps most remarkably- it is of THIS Christmas morning. I almost never scrap Christmas day. Plenty of things leading up to it, but not Christmas DAY. Seriously. I've done three December Daily style books and I skip over the gift opening... ahem. There's too many photos and too many things to deal with and just no. But for whatever reason, I thought doing it this way would get it done for once.
The photos were put together on a page in the very long retired MDS, and I kept the first photo the same for all three layouts. Then I duplicated the layout, swapping out the rest of the photos so each kid has their own gifts on the page. Once I got the printed pages home, I added two strips of DP (different for each kid), a title strip, and a ribbon, right on top of the printed page! So they're the same pages, but unique!
Home For Christmas DP (maybe 2015??)
Santa's Express DP (2022)
Christmas Around the World DP (...long retired)

And yes, I stamped it all together too, hahaha. I put a letter on two sides of a block, but still so I could see thru it, and laid it out and got it done!
Other Supplies:
Skinny Mini Alpabet, Real Red Ink, Real Red ribbon (2016ish)

Digi Scrapping

is kind of all I've done for a while... Soo that's what you get to see from me!

This is an exhibit we went to last January, and I just scrapped like on New Years Eve. I've even picked up the printed pages and stuck them in everyone's books! I do like when I can just make the page once and print it for everyone... hahaha!

It's pretty simple. I just chose a yellowy DP for the background and added some black zig-zag stitching for Charlie Brown's shirt.

I hope you get to make something pretty this week!

2024 January & February

Since there was practically no crafting in December, and hardly any so far for January, I'm going to keep sharing these calendar pages. The pages are simple, keeping the focus on the photos.

So here are the January pages:
This page below was really about cramming the grandkids into one page.
And February:
And this page below was each of the couples, and then siblings together.

Paper Pumpkin Thanks!

Happy 2024 to you! Yes, we've been here a minute, but I haven't been here, so it still counts! I hope you had a good and safe Christmas and New Years celebration. We've only just gone back to school so I am resetting to a routine again!
~~~
For a few years now I've had a goal to use up my Paper Pumpkin kits throughout the year. Last year I didn't make much of a dent on that, ha, since I did one kit. Ahem. But I needed a birthday card and really didn't have much time, so a kit was my best bet!  and this is an oldie! (August 2017!!)
So to put together a quick birthday card, I cut a white base and a Calypso Coral card front, and then found a big birthday stamp (Perfect Pennants - also very old) and used the bits from this kit. The oval, flowers and leaves came from the kit.
And then a short stack of thank you cards, because that's what was printed and I can always use those!
I do still have one more "thanks" and a few more "congrats" but mostly I'm down to sheets of the flowers and leaves and that's it! I need to use this on a scrapbook layout soon, and then it will be all used up! Yeay!
