St Patrick's Day Layout #2

Hello again! 
Today's St Patrick's Day layout uses a challenge from last summer to use three sheets of half-forgotten DP. You got it! Altho this DP did belong to my MIL for the first 15 years it existed, ha.
I don't think I've ever used blue on a St Patrick's Day layout, but I don't really know why not.

Somehow or other, it has become tradition that we eat some kind of festive food to celebrate- this year it was mashed potatoes, soda bread muffins, and some green vegetables, specifically roasted broccoli and baked zucchini. This year, the kids also woke up to skittles and gold coins, haha. And it's finally scrapped!

Happy Monday to you! 

Today kicks off my little bit of St Patrick's Day layouts. I think this might be the first year we ever took a picture of St Patrick's Day "wearin' o' the green". It was just funny because both green tshirts belonged to my son. My daughter is wearing a Minecraft shirt and he is wearing Legends of Zelda, ha. But, I made a fun layout for them - finally. I actually made a copy for each kid, tho they are basically identical. 

I also used a sketch shared by Cheryl a while back, for this fun layout. Single-photo pages are not my forte, ha.

Picnic Page

Hello again!
Today I have a quick layout (sort of- there's two fussy cut images there, that takes a minute, ha) that I actually made two of- one for each of my daughters. We just had a picnic lunch at a park together one day and I snapped some cute moments, so here's a page, ha!

Happy December!!

December is in full swing around here! We put up the tree on Friday, decorated the house on Saturday and got our first snow on Sunday! Hooray!! Monday the kids got new jammies (and slippers for the one who needed them) and this week is when all the things "to kick off the season" are crammed! ha! 

So for today, here's a scrapbook layout I made earlier this year about a Christmas event! We did this in 2010 and the photos were printed in 2011, ha. Hooray for getting it scrapped!!

Cute Hair

Man! Life!! I tell you what! My daughter has had pretty bad hives for almost a month now, and she had a cold for a few days in the middle of that. I had a solid week of migraines, and still had commitments in there, aside from the normal mom and wife things. Our 26th wedding anniversary came and went while my husband had some pretty awful dental issues going on... Something is going on with my van sliding door making school drop off adventurous. And every Saturday from here to Halloween is packed. And that's just the extra stuff! Needless to say, crafting has taken a back seat to life at the moment. 

But here's a quick page I put together for my youngest. Only the black paper and ink are current, ha. This page was actually for a challenge to use some old accessories you've maybe forgotten about. DONE.

Father's Day x2

So last week I pulled printed photos from the box intended for the albums for my husband and I. That is usually where I scrap Mother's Days and Father's Days. 

Today I have two different Father's Day's scrapped, ha. Very simple, got it done, kind of pages. I used the same pack of DP, but they won't be next to each other in the albums so it doesn't matter in the slightest. haha!

Backyard Campout!

Happy Saturday! Man, summer is busy!! 

Today I have a page I put together last month. This campout was a big request last summer, so my youngest and I slept out back! I "made my own DP" by randomly stamping the very-long-retired camping images on paper. If I didn't get this stamp set with my starter kit, it was the next thing I ordered, ha.

Prom!

More scrapbooking today!

I took the "official" (ha!) pictures, so I have them, which is the best part, haha! This was the last dance from my daughter's time in high school, so I included all the candid selfies (friends!) she got while on the date too.

This DP was actually purchased by my MIL, but I have had it for at least five years now. It is from 2007, haha, but it goes so well with her dress!! The inks do not match, and neither does the bit of added card stock, but I think it still worked very well. 

The boys in her group were most of her closest friends, which is why I included the pic of the boys on the bridge and not the girls. In fact we had to look up two of the girls names! She laughed at a few photos I chose to print, but she already hasn't seen some of these people since graduation, so it mattered then, didn't it?

The children in our church congregation did a bit of a nativity play for a local assisted living center, and my little one was asked to be a sheep. She was terribly upset about that, and then decided she could be a lamb. ha. Whatever it takes!

Bright Happy Birthday!

I needed a happy birthday card for a sweet friend and actually, I made this last week. At this point, I'm sure I missed linking with the challenges, but this is what I used to make it! 

I started with the SUO Challenge for food colors, which is a detail I have observed for ever, haha. I combined it with the Festive Friday's World Hello Day (bright colors, alphabet, patterned paper, two patterned paper, more than two letters) And I thought I was following the TGIF Challenge sketch...but I missed. ha. Oh well. She will like it anyway.

This card is a bit random, but everything is random in my world right now, so its fiiiine.

Today's card is a birthday card for my nephew, using the latest from Freshly Made Sketches. I used my one (retired) sport stamp, which I bought because my son played basketball one whole season, snort. And I used the video game set. And added his age for how he unlocked the achievement, haha. And the birthday boy's favorite colors. Done. Ha!

Fall Scrapbooking

I'm interrupting the Thank You cards to share a little more of the scrapbooking I did the last little while for this same kid. haha... Altho actually this one took a little turn. 

It was one of those days where I lay out several ideas and get to what I get to. And this was one I didn't get to... So when I went back to it I forgot what I was going to do and tried to just play with the newest In Colors and see how it went.

Bright & Simple

This card is not my favorite but it was bright, happy and quick, and it isn't for me anyway! I used the color challenge from Just Add Ink and kept it simple!

Except I decided it was *too simple, so I added a bit more color. And that seemed to fix it! 

Halloween 2020

I wasn't planning on sharing more scrapping so quickly, but I decided to make a layout to go with the SUO Challenge of "Halloween" and use the perfectly Halloweeny color challenge from The Paper Players! It worked perfectly to scrap a tiny Halloween party we had in 2020.

And here's the journaling, explaining the photos. lol. It was a weird time! 

"Halloween 2020 was an exasperating time, not knowing exactly the risks vs the reality of spreading covid by trick or treating. Mostly I felt okay about it, but I couldn’t shake the nagging concern. We decided it was best to skip trick or treating if there was any doubt. Instead, we had a small Halloween party, and did a little bit of “at home trick or treating!” Dad was in our bedroom, -- was in --’s bedroom, -- was in her bedroom, -- was in the basement, and -- was in the pantry! -- got to knock on all the doors and got a treat at every one and had SO much fun! We also played some games before the teenagers left. Dad, -- and I had pizza for dinner and watched two Disney Halloween cartoons."

Old + New

Happy Monday! I have a lot going on this week, but I am determined to have posts for you anyway! It's a hot week coming up- you might just want to stay inside and craft! 

So today I have a Disneyland scrapbook page for you. This page mixes this brand new alphabet set, and I really like this font, with some very. old. DP. I think this package of DP was purchased for my very first class ever. Really, really. And I don't love this sheet, at all, lol. But I felt like it worked well for this jungley lunch page. It was hot this day too, hence my melting daughters, haha.
