THIS is exactly what I have been looking for! I need a quick way to do notes and this looked perfect!
I had an order arrive just before I dove into the dvd project and I hadn't managed to toss the packing paper yet! yeay!! (talk about a silver lining...I'm cheering for clutter??)
So today I really needed to send some notes off and I threw these together. here's what I created.......
I chose not to monogram the notes but to use stamps instead. I figured that with the crumpled paper, a nice dose of Smooch Spritz would be the perfect touch. I punched out the bird shape and the Decorative Label Punch shapes and laid them on the note cards and sprayed away...but the bird was really hard to notice. I stamped in the less-spritzed areas, and where I laid the punched pieces. I don't know if you can really tell, LOL. Everything I used has either recently retired or is about to.
Supplies:
Stamps: Vintage Vogue (retiring), Faith in Nature (retiring), Fresh Vintage (retired)
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Soft Suede, More Mustard, Wild Wasabi, Gumball Green, Island Indigo
Paper: packing paper from the Stampin' Up! orders!
Accessories: Log Cabin Smooch Spritz (retiring!), Decorative Label Punch, Bird Punch
Check it out and link back if you give it a try!!

Distressed Spring Leaves
This is the last of my distressed cards class. I went with this set since its so easy to distress, and its a hostess set that's going to be on its way out in May!! gasp! annnd this is the last time a class will get to use this pretty Everyday Elegance DP for Sale-A-Bration. We used sponges to color in the leaves and scuffed the edges of the vanilla rectangles in Early Espresso ink. So purty!
Supplies:
Stamps: Faith in Nature
Ink: Early Espresso, Certainly Celery
Paper: Pear Pizazz & Very Vanilla card stock, Everyday Elegance DP
Accessories: Vanilla grosgrain ribbon, Stamping Sponge

Workshop Project #2
This card was my make & take project. Now you really wish you were there, don't you? *smile* We used a hostess-only stamp set, and the Sale-A-Bration exclusive Everyday Enchantment DP. Its a quick and simple card, but its pretty! (it was even inspired by THIS sketch!) To color the pear we used the pen side of the markers and just scribbled to fill it in. I liked the idea of shading this pear. What do you think?
Supplies:
Stamps: Faith In Nature
Ink: Early Espresso, Peach Parfait & Pear Pizazz markers
Paper: Very Vanilla card stock, Everyday Enchantment DP
Accessories: Peach Parfait twill ribbon, Clear Buttons, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Thankful!
November is a month full of gratitude! What are you grateful for? Today I am especially grateful for a warm house, a furnace, and coats and blankets, LOL! The power was out this morning for a few hours and our house only got down 4 degrees from where we normally keep it in the winter. Considering it was 30* outside, with snow on the ground when the power went off, I thought that was pretty darn good!
I put these autumny cards together to thank the other mom's who helped with the class party. I used Jen's October SFYTT to create the basic look, along with this favorite hostess set and my current favorite DP. All four cards use the same sheet of DP, so I used both sides. The pear is sponged with More Mustard ink, and the flower, stems and leaf were scribble-colored with the pen tip of the markers.
Supplies:
Stamps: Faith in Nature
Ink: Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Pool Party Marker, Lucky Limeade Marker
Paper: More Mustard, Chocolate Chip & Very Vanilla card stock, Spice Cake DP
Accessories: White grosgrain ribbon, In Color Patterned Brads, Regals Brads, Mat Pack, Stamping Sponges
Yes, you read that correctly, I used white ribbon! I was all out of Chocolate Chip (not to mention Early Espresso, which is actually the color on the DP!) so I dyed my white using the Chocolate Chip marker and ink pad. If I'd had an Espresso marker that would have been nicer, but I don't, and with the little pattern on the DP, chocolate chip was close enough!

Scrapbook Class!
Tomorrow is my October Scrapbook Class, here at my house! This is one of the layouts we will be making. (If you are coming, I need your RSVP today, and it will be $10 when you arrive.) I'll let the attendee's choose the color of title strip and the color of their punched flowers, and which of the jumbo buttons to use. I chose the Pool Party because my daughter is wearing a similar shade of blue in these photos.
I am so in love with this new Spice Cake DP and now it makes me want the single stamp Triple Treat Flower (page 18), because the DP is totally based off of that design! I like these colors because while they are geared for autumn, they can easily be used for any other season. For example, these photos were taken in August.
Supplies:
Stamps: Faith In Nature (hostess), Just Perfect Alphabet
Ink: Soft Suede, Pear Pizazz & Pool Party markers
Paper: Soft Suede, Pool Party & Very Vanilla card stocks, Spice Cake DP (Holiday Mini)
Accessories: Spice Cake buttons (Holiday Mini), Linen Thread

New Hostess Stuff!
Did you catch the changes to the hostess program? You get hostess dollars now, instead of choosing a hostess set and then merchandise. You can use the dollars on exclusive stamp sets or on catalog merchandise, or both! Here is a beautiful new hostess stamp set that I pre-ordered before the catalog came out! (demonstrator perk...!) This is the first card I've made using it, and I used the latest sketch from the Stamping 411 site.
Supplies:
Stamps: Faith in Nature
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: textured Old Olive, Rose Red, Early Espresso, Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Regals Brads, Watercolor Crayons
