Christmas Card Class

Yep, its a liiiittle early for a Christmas Card class, but this is for church, what can I say? I have designed and and am teaching a bundle of five Christmas cards. What do you think? This one is my favorite. I adore these silhouette images. So perfect for the holidays! (yes I KNOW the ribbon and the DP on the red card are retired....but I'm clearing out my stash)

Just for me!

Remember I said I needed to fill my display board? I slightly exaggerated. I have 13 on my board. So this card is going on my display board! I used Taylor's Sketch from last week and had some fun! She had circles on her upper section and I wondered what stamps would fit in place of circles.... And I love the result! Supplies:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Occasional Quotes
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black card stocks
Accessories: Black grosgrain Ribbon, Bitty Buttons

So, that exchange student scrapbook? I ended up with 63 pages. about 1/3 of them I wasn't able to stick the photos on and thus journal, but I stamped them. I am ready to switch gears and start getting some stamping done for family and friends, and I really need to fill up my card display board! I have some stamp events coming up and I only have about 8 cards to display! Yikes!

Today's card has been put in the MAIL! Whoo hoo!

Supplies:

Stamps: Unchartered Territory, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue
Paper: Crumb Cake, Pure Poppy, Whisper white card stocks, In Color Paper Pack
Accessories: Neutral Buttons, Blender Pens, Watercolor Pencils

I haven't used Pure Poppy until now. It is a bit brighter than Real Red. I thought it would go well with the lighthouse, and I loved the stripey paper. Adds a touch of nautical-ness.

Have a great Monday!

August Page 3

Here is the third page from my August class, that wouldn't load correctly last time. I was going for a patriotic color scheme that didn't HAVE to be 4th of July. And I used pictures of my sister when she was little. She's on a stick horse, doing barrel races.
August classes were pretty simple. I felt like I was starting all over in the creative process. So this page showed a technique, rather than a fancy page.
Supplies:
Stamps: Just Perfect Alphabet
Ink: Real Red
Paper: Whisper White & Pacific Point card stocks
Accessories: Paper Daisies (which we dyed with Real Red ink refill), Neutral Buttons, small star punch (I missed that it retired!!! OOPS!)

Exchange Student Pages

For the past few summers my parents host a Japanese exchange student for a month. And they're required to make a scrapbook, which is actually super handy for the student. I really wish someone else had done my Germany trip, then I'd know what everything was! *grin*
Anyway, when you're cramming to get this much scrapbooking done, as quickly as possible, you go super simple...and I stick with a border style because some of these events hadn't happened when I was making the pages! I also used a lot of retired products, especially card stock! With that new color renovation, I have a lot of card stock to use up! tee hee!
So here's the first few pages I've done for this year's student...annnd it keeps flipping most of the pages I'm loading, especially the ones I've cropped...so what you see is what you get today! LOL!
Supplies:
Stamps: Grunge Rock, Taffy Alphabet (retired), Whimsical Lower Alphabet (retired)
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Orchid Opulence (retired)
Paper: Whisper White card stock Supplies: (all retired!)
Stamps: Alphabet Appeal, ...forgotten the balloon set.
Ink: Basic Black
Card stock: Orchid Opulence, Barely Banana, Green Galore, Ruby Red, Only Orange, Ballet Blue
Accessories: Balloon Punch Supplies: (all retired!)
Stamps: Whimsical Lower alphabet

Aug Scrapbook Class round 1

I am home for the rest of the summer so I SHOULD get some regular posts going again! How's that? :) Well * I * am excited about it, I need to fill up my display board! I haven't had a chance since the new catalog came out!
~~~~~
Here are the 8x11 pages I did for my August scrapbook class. I went with a summer theme but still tried to keep it openly applicable for everyone. So here's a beachy/water layout...
Supplies:
Stamps: Unchartered Territory, Just Perfect ABC
Ink: Crumb Cake
Paper: Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake card stocks
Accessories: Neutral Buttons
a camping kind of page...
Supplies:
Stamps: Under The Stars, Just Perfect ABC,
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, More Mustard
Paper: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip & Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Vanilla grosgrain ribbon, Linen Thread
and the red white and blue page refuses to load correctly...darnit!
But there's something new to look at, and I will be a lot more consistent now!
