A Birthday!

Yep, I'm throwing a birthday card into all the holiday fun going on! A good friend of mine had a birthday this week and even tho I never seem to get to her house ON her birthday, I try to take her something every year. This year I had a cute little gift bag decorated with a paper cupcake so I made this card to go with it:
Supplies:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, Swirls & Curls (retired)
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip

Birthday Pages!

Here is the page I showed at today's workshop. When I demonstrate scrapbooking I try to keep the pages simple. You can still feature your photos and preserve memories without piling on accessories or whatever. In this case, its the final page of a birthday from a few years ago. Just showing people who came to celebrate. Later I will add the journaling...
Supplies:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, Just Perfect alphabet
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Pretty in Pink & Whisper White card stock, Pear Pizzazz dsp
Accessories: Mat Pack, Jumbo Brads

A new theme!

Yep, Christmas is over. Did you enjoy yours? I hope so. We had a lovely Christmas and it wasn't stormy for travel, yeay!

One of the gifts I was working on was a stack of birthday cards for my MIL. My husband is the youngest of a large family and each of his siblings have their own family and some of them are old enough for their own family, etc. The point is, from his parents down the family is over 100 people strong. Really. And his parents send a birthday card to each and every member of this family. So I wanted to help make a dent in that! *grin

Unfortunately (for them) I only got 35 done. Fortunately for you, that means a couple new things to see! We'll start with these:
This uses Pear Pizzaz as the base, the DP and the marker color for the tray the cupcakes are on. I did one almost the same with Blushing Bride, but that photo won't load right now...

Birthday Sketch

We have some birthdays coming up in our family so here are the two cards I've made...

This first one is for Jen's SSFYTT. I got a little crazy with the swiping, but its for a very young girl- she won't care. hee hee! I liked the little cupcakes cut from the wheeled image. Turns out I need a medium sized circle punch! :)

Supplies: Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, Cupcakes wheel Ink: Black Paper: Orchid Opulence, Yoyo Yellow, Real Red, Whisper White card stock Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens, Red striped grosgrain ribbon, 1/2 inch circle punch,

This next one I actually made on World Card Making Day, but I didn't want to post it til it was in the mail. Believe it or not, its still late. :(

Supplies:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, unknown circley image
Ink: Black, Tempting Turquoise
Paper: Whisper White card stock, very old DP

Slacker!

Not really! I worked really hard on major stampy things last week and now I've got to focus on house and family, lol! Plus summer has all but started and that means my family is nuts... I will stamp something in the next few days, but I decided to use my stash of cards for events right now so I haven't done anything. I've checked the usual challenges and I like them...I just have to pay attention to my kiddos. So here is a card I did a few months back and never posted on my blog...! Fun huh? It was for a challenge on PCP...possibly in February? Anyway, Pretty simple...!

Old Birthday Challenges

As in these sketches are weeks old, but I never got to try them...and since I liked them, I finally used them! And I needed more birthday cards!

First, this was one of Lauren's Saturday Sketches...from before Christmas. Fun huh? Yep. The one stinky thing about the new catalog is that they retired all the new papers I "just" got. (you know, a couple months ago, but haven't used much!) That was a little sad. So I used some! LOL. This cupcakes set is a lot of fun too! I think this one turned out really nice.

Supplies: Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes Ink: Black Paper: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink & White card stock, Banbury DP (just retired) Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens, EE/N Buttons (just retired)

Now a sketch from Jen's Saturday Sketches, also weeks ago (tho not quite as far back). This uses the same set as above, but I think this will work better for a boy. Especially a young boy.

Supplies: Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, Cupcakes wheel Ink: Basic Black Paper: Pacific Point & White card stocks Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens, 1 3/8 inch circle punch

Ok, have you SEEN the new Stampin' Up! catalog??? Well you SHOULD! I am sooo excited about new stamp sets, (some that aren't even anything like what I usually go for!), the new papers and holy moley, the new accessories! Oooo ribbons, buttons, brads, oh my! LOL! I cannot WAIT to get going with the fun new things!

Want to book a workshop? Great! Give me a call and we'll get you scheduled! You'll get a free catalog, free hostess goodies and a night of fun! Plus Sale-A-Bration is coming soon....!!!
