Workshop Page

This was a fun project! I wanted to feature this stamp set because of the Button Special this month. (If you spend $35 on the "Growing Up" section, -by Monday- you earn a free package of buttons!) I went with a tag, to start. Then I showed adding a tag to a scrapbook page, and kept the page simple!
I think its adorable, but perhaps its the bias to the baby, who isn't such a baby anymore, haha!

Workshop Cards

We had a really fun workshop this weekend! These are the cards we made, tomorrow I'll share something else. First I showed this card, which is totally inspired and based on THIS card by Heather Telford. I *really* loved her white on white card. In my case, however, I stamped the image from Lovely As A Tree in two colors of ink and combined it.

Supplies: Stamps: Lovely As A Tree Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red Paper: Very Vanilla card stock Accessories: Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals This second card was the make & take project. The workshop was outside and it was getting late, so I didn't get all the flowers colored in. And I photo'd it and then gave it away, so it never was completed! But you get the idea...! Supplies: Stamps: Ever After, Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel Ink: Chocolate Chip Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery card stock Accessories: Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens

Sketch Twice!

I really need to fill my display board, so I was looking for sketches. This sketch comes from the Whiff of Joy challenge blog. Mojo Birthday

My dad's birthday was this week, so I used Julee's sketch to get me going! The photo is not wonderful because I needed it in the mail way before then, but I decided it was alright...its a yellow-y card so why not yellow-y lighting...? LOL! Supplies: Stamps: Under The Stars Ink: Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, Garden Green, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel Paper: Creamy Caramel, So Saffron & Really Rust card stocks Accessories: Linen Thread

This is the card my son made him... (I forgot to take pictures of the cards my daughter made!) You wanna know what else? Until the 31st, if you buy these sets (or any others from the Growing Up section of the new catalog -for a minimum of $35 from that section), you can get a free package of really cute buttons!!! Fun, huh?!

53 Pages

I have mentioned in summers past that my parents host exchange students and that part of the program is you make them a scrapbook of the things they've done. My mom enjoys scrapbooking, but somehow this one always falls to me. So, about a week ago, I spent the day at my moms and pumped out 40 basic pages. The photos were still on the computer but I got the titles stamped and accents and borders! Then this weekend we finished it. Glued pictures down and did journaling for what ended up 53 pages, which obviously meant a little more stamping. They really were basic pages, but its still quite a bit of work. :) Especially in only one full day and one lonnnng night. So here's the stack of pages (this first one is SUPER basic! Wow...most of the rest have a lot more stamping) And this is my favorite little detail...the bottom of this page. Can you guess where my grandmother lives? LOL ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Then, to totally switch gears, school started last week. Here's the pic of the first day! (just him, not her...she's sporting the "rolled out of bed and threw on some clothes" look... LOL)

Christmas Mojo!

Today's card is a two-fer! I used a sketch from Julee's team member, Teresa Kline, and combined it with the OCC Saturday Challenge to do a Christmas card!

Since I was using a retired stamp image, I used a lot of retired product! Now the big question...should I sell it or keep it for my Christmas card stash?? LOL!

Supplies:

Stamps: To You & Yours

Ink: Always Artichoke

Paper: Real Red, Always Artichoke & Very Vanilla card stocks, Retired holiday DP

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon (retired)

Pretty Silhouettes

I finished up the last two card sketches last night! This is good- I got four more cards for my display board, and one to mail off! Yeay!

So first up the more earthy colors...

I don't have any current DP so I made my own using the greeting! I swiped the edges of the Old Olive card stock for some texture... I don't have a scallopy oval so I used the Mat Pack around the oval for a little extra dimension. And I used paper instead of ribbon on the sides!

Supplies: Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes Ink: Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron Paper: Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron, Very Vanilla card stocks Accessories: Mat Pack, EE Brads, Stamping Sponge

Next is this really pretty one! LOVE these colors together! I think it turned out great!

Supplies: Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes, Ink: Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray Paper: Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White card stocks Accessories: White Organza Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 inch circle punch

Card 3

Hmm. This one, I love the idea, but I think my final touch was too over-the-top... tell me what YOU think....!

So, again, Julee's sketch with a little fun. I sponged Certainly Celery ink on the Celery paper for some texture, and the these cute bees are each a different color (pumpkin, mustard and sun). Then I added some glitter to their wings....hmm... Supplies: Stamps: Just Buzzin' By Ink: Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery Paper: Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla Accessories: Blender Pen, watercolor Wonder Crayons, Mat Pack, Stamping Sponge, Celery Grosgrain Ribbon, 1 3/8 inch circle, 2 way glue pen, Chunky Sprinkles Glitter

Card 2

This one uses one of Julee's sketches, and the colors come from Dawn's Raspberry Suite's Color Challenge! I think this is the first time I've followed thru playing with her color schemes, even tho I like them a lot! (you've noticed its been crazy 'round here)

Anyway, I liked the colors for this big gorgeous flower from Embrace Life...I thought it would work really well for a tropical flower with veins of interesting and slightly contrasting color. The red circle seems a little thrown in there, but there is red in the flower, I promise. Supplies: Stamps: Embrace Life, Priceless, Pocket Silhouettes

Ink: Versamark, Lovely Lilac, Black Paper: Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink, real Red, Very Vanilla Accessories: Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon, Button Latte, Linen Thread, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pen, 1 3/8 inch circle punch

Stamped!

Yeay!!! Two crafty nights in a row! I am gonna space my projects out, just IN CASE I can't stamp for a few days again...LOL! This one needs mailed off, so I'll start here...

This card is from a sketch by Julee, on the Verve forum on SCS. That's what I played with last night. This Magnolia image is thru Wish-rak... her socks seem to be part of her pants... so I put her in green footie jammies! How's THAT for a dash of creativity! hee hee!

Supplies:

Stamps: Warmest Regards (retired), Magnolia image Ink: Chocolate Chip, More Mustard Paper: Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, White card stocks, Autumn Vine DP (retired) Accessories: Button Latte, Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Linen Thread, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Blender Pen, Stamping Sponge

MIA

Yes, I am very much missing in action. Definitely IN ACTION. lol....

Ok, so one of the parts of my husbands job is to run scout camp during the summer. This year's assignment happens to be three hours away... That is a huge reason this summer has been so hit-and-miss in my stamping, not to mention my blogging. We've been in and out of town all summer long!

But then, about a week ago, my grandfather passed away. Its ok, he'd suffered many strokes and three brain tumors and so many problems over the past 17.5 years. Its just that its taken up my whole week...and I don't foresee much stamping in the next little while.

So for now, I'll leave you with this cute gift I have made for a friend whose wedding I missed a few weeks ago. I covered a box that held Stampin' Spots, filled it with thank you cards, and have a card that coordinates!

Supplies: Stamps: Warmest Regards (retired) Ink: Chocolate Chip Paper: Bella Birds DP (retired), Chocolate Chip & Whisper White card stocks Accessories: White Organza Ribbon, Eyelet Punch
