Soft Ranunculus x2

Happy Friday to you!! I hope it's a fabulous weekend for all of us!

I follow a lot of other stampers, some blogs, some on social media, whatever, and I get a lot of inspiration from them, not to mention a lot of know-how. The other day I saw THIS stunning card made by Tammy Wilson and I reeeally wanted to try!
I used more colors than she did, or at least a wider variety of colors, so my card looks more busy, but I still really like how it turned out!

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance (retiring)
Ink: Mint Macaron (retiring), Blushing Bride (retiring), Early Espresso
Paper: Mint Macaron (retiring), Early Espresso, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Crinkled White Ribbon (retiring), Basic Pearls (retiring), Ranunculus Dies (retiring), Dimensionals, Blending Brush

The big ranunculus die in the center is White card stock that I used a Blending Brush and Mint Macaron ink on. I also used the Blending Brush and same ink all over the background piece, altho it's more subtle.

I actually stamped a different mat, covering a lot more of it. I assembled the dies and laid it over each to see which I liked better, haha, and went with the simpler one.

and then, I had so much fun I made another!
This one has been stuck in the mail but I know it hasn't arrived yet. Oh well- spoilers!
This version is even fancier, haha. I used the Blending Brush again and two shades of ink on the large flower die, and this time added a hint of Freesia ink to the die cut flowers. I have two kinds of ribbon embellishments and two kinds of dot embellishments, haha. And I think it is lovely and I know it will be appreciated!
Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance (retiring)
Ink: Fresh Freesia, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake
Paper: Fresh Freesia, So Saffron (retiring), Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Brass Butterflies, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, White Crinkled Ribbon (retiring), Ranunculus dies (retiring), Resin Hearts (retired), big shot (retired)

Scraps for you!

haha.... this card was made entirely because the SUO Challenge was to use up scraps! I did use the sketch from TGIF Challenges for some direction. And I know who I will send it to next week too!
Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance
Ink: Gray Granite
Paper: Petal Pink & Basic White card stock, Texture Chic DP, Metallic Specialty paper
Accessories: Circle Dies, Dimensionals, big shot

Everything but the base was made with scraps. How do you store yours? For DP and card stock, I keep my scraps in the original packages. Like this:
and for Basic White and Very Vanilla scraps, I have these little baskety things for each color. These are perfect for greeting strips!

We Create Blog Hop: Sale-a-Bration Sweetness

Happy February to you! Every month we hold a fun little blog hop to help inspire your creativity!

This month we're focusing on Sale-A-Bration! If you don't know, this is Stampin' Up!'s biggest promotion! For every $50 (US) you spend, before tax and shipping, you can choose an item for FREE. Many are exclusive, but today, Stampin' Up! announced additional freebies you can choose from! You can view the entire selection by clicking HERE. And it's only available until products sell out, or until February 28!

For my projects today, I used the new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, and some fun, exclusive Sale-A-Bration products that arrived yesterday! This new stamp set, Scenic Garden, is free to those who host a workshop that reaches $300 (that's 6 people placing a Sale-A-Bration order!) or if you place an order over $300, you'll get it too! The DP strip on my cards is also an exclusive Sale-A-Bration item you can choose with an order of $100 or more. The prints are happy and fun and I'm excited to play with it more! I only featured one sheet of DP today- but you can see both sides! And here's what I made!

This one is super simple and almost entirely monochromatic. It might be just a bit too plain, but that's okay. The greeting came from Ranunculus Romance and I felt like it was a good match.

Vintage Monochrome

World Card Making Day is coming up this weekend! I won't have time to stamp that day, but I will now have plenty to share to inspire YOUR creativity! And I've got stuff ready to go leading up to it too!
yeay stamping time!!!

Today's card uses the SUO Challenges theme of "monochrome", with the sketch from Global Design Project, and the photo from Inkspirational Challenges! I thought about other colors for the monochrome theme, but I loved this inspiration photo and that worked!

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance
Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla card stocks
Accessories: Natural Ribbon, Linen Thread, Basic Pearls, Blending Brush, Timeworn Type Embossing folder, Dimensionals, big shot

Blue Ranunculus

I almost never post twice in one day, but I wanted to participate in a couple challenges, so here I am!
This pretty card uses the color combination from Color Throwdown, along with the theme from SUO Challenges. I actually used two shades of Balmy Blue- the ranunculus is stamped normally, the vine kind of flower is stamped off onto scratch paper before stamping on the card front.

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance
Ink: Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Paper: Balmy Blue, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: White Baker's Twine, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Blending Brush

This was also my first time trying out the Blending Brushes that are in the Annual Catalog. They're easier to use than sponges and much less messy, haha! And it was fun! I plan to use it at my next class, and I definitely recommend them!

Ranunculus Romance #3

And I'm back with another card with Ranunculus Romance! Some elements stayed the same, some are different, but I think the bolder colors make it feel like a very different card. What do you think?

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance
Ink: Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet
Paper: Sweet Sorbet, Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Ranunculus Dies, White Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, "I" block

This is the most simple of this set of cards and I am really loving these new In Colors!!

Ranunculus Romance #2

When I first pulled out Ranunculus Romance, I had a number of color combinations in mind. I pulled the inks and card stocks to try them all but I ran out of time, lol. But I got another chance to play so I made basically the same card with slightly different colors, haha! Also I ran this panel thru my favorite embossing folder too.

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance, Inspired Thoughts
Ink: Soft Seafoam, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Seafoam, Basic White
Accessories: White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon, Basic Pearls, Timeworn Type embossing folder, Ranunculus dies, Dimensionals, big shot (retired)

Ranunculus Romance!

I have wanted this bundle since the mini came out, but it took me til just this past week to finally order it. (You might want to too, because the bundled discounted price ends June 30!) But since the products carry on in the new catalog, I'm going to keep playing with them FOR. SURE.

Today I focused on Pale Papaya and Gray Granite with this bundle, and then I added in some Soft Succulent. And it totally works for the latest SUO Challenge which is a theme of flowers!

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance
Ink: Gray Granite, Pale Papaya
Paper: Gray Granite, Basic White
Accessories: White Crinkled Seam Binding, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance, Inspired Thoughts
Ink: Gray Granite, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent
Paper: Gray Granite, Basic White
Accessories: Soft Succulent Open Weave ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

There's a little bit of a technique here. For this first one, I started with sponging Gray Granite ink onto the white card stock. Then I inked the "I" block in Pale Papaya and stamped that down. Stamped the flower in Pale Papaya, die cut it out and popped up over the Papaya blocked ink. The other images were stamped in Gray Granite and it was all added to Gray Granite base.

The second card was done the same, the only difference is the Soft Succulent ink and ribbon. And the flower was stamped off once on scratch paper before stamping it here. Simple, but I think it's all very pretty!
