Jungle Cruise!

Good morning! Another Disneyland layout for you today!

This was a fun layout to make! I really liked the group picture so I made it bigger. And its on our wall, actually! Then some pics of the ride itself. This DP is actually orange, and came with MDS originally. And the elephant actually faces the other direction but I flipped him to get him on my page! MDS was a lot of fun when I knew what I was doing, ha!

Supplies:
MDS: Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, recolored Hoppy Memories DP, elephant comes from Storytime Suite
Journaling Font: Chiller

Current Scrapping!

The Retired Products list was released yesterday, for both the main Annual Catalog and for the Jan-April Mini Catalog. You can view them by clicking the titles, or let me know if you'd rather have the links emailed to you.

While many demonstrators quickly sell off their retired inventory to make room for new, I typically keep what I've purchased and I often use it for my scrapbooking! I've had so much fun working on our Disneyland Trip and finding so. many. perfect stamps or DP to use! But today, I used current products for this page! Crazy talk....!
...although...this stamp set along the side is about to retire. So if you love it, hurry and order it!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Nothing's Better Than, ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet (retired)
Ink: Poppy Parade, Memento Black, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Tahitian Tide, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Parakeet Party, Balmy Blue
Paper: Basic White
Accessories: Crystal Effects (retired)

This page is of my daughter's first job, at a very small soda and cookie shop, which are a huge deal around here. Seriously, there are six different shops within ten minutes of my house! They serve things like flavored sodas, hot chocolate, a variety of cookies and other treats like nachos, churros, cinnamon rolls and ice cream. This page shows her first day and last day, and then when we visited once in the middle.

Warm Rays!

I don't know about you, but we are having a long, stubborn winter. I honestly don't mind it- the sun comes out almost daily for at least a minute, there's patches of blue sky, and we're not having to shovel, but a lot of people in my life are past done. So this greeting is a perfect match for today's card!

I used the sketch from the Paper Players, and this fabulous Desert Details bundle for this card. This stamp set, die, paper and sequins come from the January-April Mini and I am a fan!
Supplies:
Stamps: Desert Details
Ink: Cajun Craze
Paper: Pale Papaya, Basic White & Soft Succulent card stock, Delicate Desert DP
Accessories: Desert Details dies, Gold Faceted sequins, big shot

*Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent are on their way out! Odds are very good the DP is too because DP rarely carries over! Don't miss out on these items!!

Lantern

I liked this set when I saw it in the mini, but my mom loved it. And that means I get to play with it!

I've seen lots of ideas with this bundle and I really loved the lantern looking old and maybe rusty. And I also loved the lantern surrounded by dark foliage. I kept it simple for this card, using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches (too late to link, but credit is due) and some pretty DP.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lighting The Way
Ink: Crushed Curry, Evening Evergreen
Paper: Evening Evergreen, Cajun Craze & Very Vanilla card stocks, Pretty Prints DP
Accessories: Lighting the Way dies, Red & Green Adhesive Backed Pearls, big shot

Another Dance!

Happy Monday and another week to do good in!

I've got another digital layout for my daughter today. I love dances because my kids always have me take the pictures, haha! Then I get good pictures, and I get to see their friends in a different light. And then I love scrapping the dance pictures! This time I used MDS so I could fit a ton of pics on there. Because I take a TON. of pics....

This is a really simple layout, just photos, DP and journaling, but I think it turned out pretty so there you go!

Cold Treats!

Today I have a traditional page from our Disney trip. This was another stamp set of my mom's that was a perfect match for a popsicle on a stick, ice cream bites and two slushies! ha! I made the page but I turned my older daughter loose with coloring the treats in however she liked and this is what we got.

I really tried to include everyone's thoughts in the journaling and I asked my kids' opinions on colors for each "thing".

Stamps: Sunny Fun, Alphabet Appeal Lower
Ink: Memento Black, Poppy Parade
Paper: Basic White, So Saffron
Accessories: Watercolor Pencils
Journaling Font: Birch Std

Senior Dance!

It's been a weird week, not going at all how I'd like. So here's another digital layout for my daughter.

This is a recent event that was a lot of fun for her. The school hosts a stag event and only seniors are invited. They have a dinner and then a dance.
Most of her closest friends this year are guys, because lets be honest, high school girls are jerks, so we did group pics of these friends!
Again, I did this in MDS so I could size the photos however I like, and that huge group shot in the middle of the second page that was swiped off social media and thus not super great for printing, haha...
Supplies:
MDS: Pacific Point, Silver Glimmer DP, Silver brads

Beignets!

Today I've got another digital page with a funny title.
One of the favorite Disney movies in this house is the Princess and the Frog. It is a newer one so if you don't have kids you might not have seen it. (2009 IS "newer", I absolutely swear it!) The Princess in the title is a great cook and her specialty is beignets. One of the characters asks her to make her "man catchin beignets" and so of COURSE that had to be the title of the page, haha!
My older daughter actually tried making these with my husband's help before our trip, but none of us had ever had an beignet before sooo it wasn't exactly like it was in the park, haha.... Both times the treat was delicious.
And yes, if I'm recording every little detail, you bet I'm recording the costs of anything we purchased.

Supplies:
Colors: Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight

Other Scrapping

Posts about scrapbook pages are not usually that popular, but I have been sharing a lot of our Disney trip, and really, the whole reason I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is my passion for scrapbooking. I am still working on Disney, it isn't done, and I haven't even shared half of it here yet, haha... But at the moment, my focus has switched to scrapping as much as I can of my daughter's life, before she graduates in 70 days (yes, she's counting down) just like I did for my son.

My kids have albums throughout their lives. They each have their own shelf on the bookcase, and they each have a bunch. (my oldest has more than my youngest, which is probably obvious, even tho he was born back with film cameras, ha! So she has more photographs in existence...) But I am a recorder, and I am raising recorders, haha, and we have maybe millions of photos. My kids all still have a shoebox of printed photos. I add to this, but I try to scrap these photos, rather than just store them in the shoebox, haha. And yes, even after they graduate, I add to their books, lol... But for NOW, I want to get my daughter's school events done, especially her high school years. And while I'm at it, I am scrapping photos that have been printed, gathering dust in her shoebox.

So we'll switch gears for a bit and share a super simple couple layouts that use the most recent Sale-A-Bration DP. This was one packed day of fun over Spring Break several years ago, so the pages match.

Supplies:
Stamps: Whimsical lower, Whimsical Numbers (long retired)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Blushing Bride card stock, Dainty Flowers SAB (retired)
Accessories: Glitter Enamel Dots (long retired)
Journaling Font: Modern Love Caps

I started by just trimming that flower page in half, but I liked it better trimmed around.

Scraps for you!

haha.... this card was made entirely because the SUO Challenge was to use up scraps! I did use the sketch from TGIF Challenges for some direction. And I know who I will send it to next week too!
Supplies:
Stamps: Ranunculus Romance
Ink: Gray Granite
Paper: Petal Pink & Basic White card stock, Texture Chic DP, Metallic Specialty paper
Accessories: Circle Dies, Dimensionals, big shot

Everything but the base was made with scraps. How do you store yours? For DP and card stock, I keep my scraps in the original packages. Like this:
and for Basic White and Very Vanilla scraps, I have these little baskety things for each color. These are perfect for greeting strips!
What are you making this week?

Mickey's Philharmagic

With the calendars done, I'm going to for sure keep sharing Disney pages on Saturday, as well as on days when I don't have anything else to share. I seriously have SO. many. Disney pages! It's been ...maybe a bit of a problem. ahem. It's fine. Everything is fine.... HA.

Once again, today I have a super simple page, altho this time digital. It combined two "things", which was extremely rare in this album. But with so few pictures, and the things happening back to back, it worked out great. I am particularly happy with how I did the title over the paler music "stamp".

Supplies:
Colors: Pacific Point, Bashful Blue, Whisper White,
Stamp: Music Notes
Font: Started by a Mouse, Book Antiqua

I hope you get to make something pretty this weekend!

Stampin' News!

The new catalog arrives May 1!! This is often my favorite time of the Stampin' Up! year! This is also the 35th Anniversary of Stampin' Up! and that must mean it's time for a Color Refresh!

Every few years there's a fun shake up of the color families and there are new and returning colors introduced! This is that year! It's exciting to get to play with new shades and also fun to see the same shades trending!

But here's what you need to know for today- when ink pads, refills and cardstock sell out in the out-going colors (which hasn't been announced yet) they won't be restocked. This means if you have favorite colors, you'll want to stock up on them NOW!
Make sure you have refill bottles because your ink pads can last years if you do!

Nothing more has been announced, so I can't tell you if your favorites are going yet. I will know more March 29. But I know that when people get excited about something, things sell out!

And if you're placing an order that is less than $150, you'll want to use Hostess Code 4PRZS6TT.

Pacific Wharf Cafe

I'm focused on other things this week, so here's another digital page from our Disney trip, and I love it actually.
This was the first meal we bought in California that went well, lol, and it was really delicious! This is what convinced us to just eat in the park- it was cheaper than eating between the park and our hotel and with WAY better service. Plus this lunch was SO good! You should definitely eat there!

It's Lemon!

Once again, I have to say, the collection of stamps my mom and I have made scrapping Disney so easy! This time it was this cute soft-serve ice cream cone that was the perfect touch, haha! And our inks are too- we ordered a lemon, a mango and a twist! I mean really! There is a chance I have never even used this stamp set, it belongs to my mom.
The title of the page comes from the movie Monster's Inc, which is the movie the treat stand is based on. And it's funny, I promise.

Stamps: Sweet Scoops
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, Cinnamon Cider
Paper: Whisper White card stock
Journaling Font: Monsters Inc

Scrapping doesn't have to be complicated and this is a very simple page, but I'm happy with it.

2023 Calendar Covers!

And today we reach the end of the 2023 calendars! Even if we're technically ending with the front... It's fine. haha...
This was another copy/paste that actually carries over from the year before. I liked the sprinkling of snapshots idea so much I'm just keeping it! There are always cute pictures that have to be left out (HAVE to be...!!) so this is a fun way to use a few more.
With my in-laws, I put a quick description and date with each photo.

For my parents I left them blank. And I really like the polaroid look!
So until next year, see ya, Calendars! Ha!

Snow White

Happy Friday to you!
The week after we got home from Disneyland, masks were no longer required. And right around the same time, you could hug the characters again. But while we were there, this is how we saw Snow White and the Queen- twice! Way more than six feet away, ha!
And while searching for supplies for all the pages, suddenly the shadow with this cute little apple looked appropriately ominous...! haha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Countryside
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Night of Navy, Real Red
Accessories: Watercolor Pencils, Bumblebee twill ribbon

We Create Blog Hop: March to the Beat

Yet another new month has arrived, can you even believe it? And that means a new blog hop for you!
When this month's theme was introduced, we were leaning towards March events and music. The only current music product I find in my stash is this Merry Melody embossing folder... And we're inching ever closer to saying goodbye to these favorite 2021-23 In Colors so I wanted to use those.... and then I saw the latest SUO Challenge to "go green!" and this card was born!
I don't typically send Easter cards, but my grandmother did, and her sister could always use some cheerful mail, so I think that's where this will go.
Supplies:
Stamps: Rejoice In Him
Ink: Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Pale Papaya
Paper: Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Pale Papaya
Accessories: Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon, Festive Pearls, Merry Melody Embossing Folder, big shot

And now you can hop on over to Tricia's blog, using the button below, and see what she has made for you.

Then hop along to see the rest of our projects! We're a small group, but full of ideas for you!
