First of all I would like to direct you to the tabs across the top of my blog, right there under the banner. See those? You might want to click on those. You might even want to just get in the habit of clicking on the one labeled "What's Going On?!" because there you will find the current promotions, sales and other happenings that Stampin' Up! is offering at any given time.
Now on to the crafting. *grin
My daughter had a birthday party to attend this weekend. I asked if she wanted to make her friend a card or if she wanted to use one from my stash. She wanted to use one...but didn't like any I had in my stash, lol. So I literally threw this one together, and yes, it uses the recently retired Sale-A-Bration stamp, but it also uses a long retired Simply Scrappin' Kit! But, it uses stuff up and it is perfect for a little boy!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Feeling Sentimental (retired)
Ink: Real Red, Basic Black
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Primary Colors Simply Scrappin' Kit (retired)
And then it was my friend's birthday too. I realized much too late that I had packed all our gift wrapping away to the storage unit, and was not about to drive out there for a bag, lol. So I stamped a little brown lunch sack and made it all cute and birthday-y before taking it to her!
Supplies:
Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight
Paper: brown lunch sack
Accessories: small hole punch, Sycamore Street ribbon (retired!)
Did you make anything fun this weekend?

Bright birthday!
Today's card (for the class) is a bright one that would suit anyone, but maybe leans more toward masculine. Which is fine becuase goodness knows I always wish I had more on hand for little boy birthday parties! I tipped the sketch for this card and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Ink: Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Island Indigo, Chocolate Chip markers

Pennant Punch!
By now you should know that Stampin' Up! demonstrators get to pre-order from the new catalogs. (doesn't that make you want to sign up? How about the offer for a free package of DP or a free digital download every month this year, if you join? ohhh yes, I digress...) When the current Idea Book & Catalog came out last summer I had the opportunity to purchase this punch. I was interested but I needed other things more... It took until about a week ago for me to finally get it here! Yeay!
And since I had a friend's birthday to make a card for, I had to put it to use!
Supplies:
Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Real Red, Peach Parfait, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip Marker
Paper: Whisper White, So Saffron & Baja Breeze card stocks, Just Add Cake DP
Accessories: Pennant Punch, White Bakers Twine, Dimensionals

Bright Birthday Card!
My daughter had a birthday party to attend and asked me to make a card. This is what I put together, just ink and paper!
Supplies:
Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Indigo Island, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise
Paper: Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Whisper White card stocks
You know what's most interesting about this, is its the first time I've cut into the Calypso Coral card stock! It is similar to other retired colors, such as Groovy Guava, which I loved, but this one just hasn't struck me in any mood. Today I think it made for a fun, happy card!

Masculine Birthdays!
Once again, its been too many days since I last stamped! Did you know Saturday was World Card Making Day? It sort of snuck up on me and then I ended up with no time to stamp all weekend. Today I made up for it, lol!
We have a couple masculine birthdays coming up this month in our family. Men can be difficult to create for, but I have to say, I love how this card turned out! I used Jen's October SFYTT for my starting point, pulled out my current birthday stamp set and I think this works well!
Supplies:
Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip markers
Paper: Night of Navy, Always Artichoke & Whisper White card stocks, Autumn Traditions DP (retired!)
Accessories: Twill Tape
This second card uses the sketch found HERE but I did flip the DP element to the other side of the card. Also, this is almost entirely made of retired supplies. But you know I love this nautical set sooo....!
Supplies:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, The Open Sea (retired!)
Ink: Night of Navy, Early Espresso
Paper: Night of Navy & Whisper White card stocks, Nautical Expedition DP (RETIRED)

Different Birthday!
These fun birthday pages are of the same child as a few days ago, and use the same stamp set, but the photos are a few years old. That is why they are 8x11 size. I have decided I really don't like working with this size anymore! I'm so glad I've moved all of our books to 12x12, even tho the albums cost more!
Oh, this is also designed around a challenge to scrap summertime fun, family and food. Check, check and check!

Pages for a Birthday!
I ended up with four pages for this birthday party! These pages are very "Clean & Simple", which is usually my style, but with white card stock it seems to be even more so. The stamping is a lot more vibrant in real life, but it is on textured card stock so that's why it looks grainy in the photos. Feel free to click for a closeup on the stamping, and at the end I'll throw in a picture of that awesome cake my husband decorated!
Supplies:
Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Real Red, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Whisper White textured card stock
Accessories: Brights Buttons, Mini Glue Dots
I do need to add in a bit of journaling, and I may still outline the photos with a marker...I haven't decided. But the party is now in the book and that is a good thing.
Now about that cake............. my husband seriously rocks at cake decorating!! Just ignore my blurring out the gist of the boy's name.....*wink*

So Busy!!
It feels like its been a while since I managed to post anything, but apparently its only been a few days. My kids went back to school this week so last week we were busy enjoying the last week of summer! Now I'm busy figuring out exactly how to fit all my plans into a day or week, LOL!
I did clean up my craft space a little today, and put this card together. I had stamped both pieces thinking of a sketch I'd seen, except that neither piece actually fit, lol. So this is what I made out of the stamped bits...!
The colors came out weird again...maybe I need to photo these things earlier in the day or something.... Anyway, There you go! Happy Birthday to someone, happy school year to me!
Supplies:
Stamps: Patterned Party
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Indigo Island, Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade markers
Paper: Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry & Whisper White card stocks
Accessories: Brights Buttons
